This location is always crowded but the line moves very fast. I love their products. My favorite beverage is an ice mocha without the whip cream.

Okay so since I last wrote the review, they have officially received a 5 star rating from me. They know my name now which I think is a nice touch. I walked in one day and the barista addressed me by name, not only that she remembered what I normally order. I also noticed that they take the time to know the names of all frequent customers. That’s awesome customer service, and they get an A+ for effort in my book.

I’m mad hyped! I just went into this Starbucks to grab what I just knew would be my last caramel brûlée latte until next year(since it only comes around the holidays) and walked out with something more than comparable. Thanks to miscommunication and the stellar employee Mario, I have an additional favorite flavor.

The people that work here are great! Always friendly and upbeat and they have always gotten my order right. Be prepared for a line during the morning rush. As I’m more of an afternoon coffee person, I usually go at 3pm and there is never a line. Love their iced and hot lattes

I used to like this location, they are very small, but the workers seemed to keep the flow going pretty good… but lately, there are new people working there and it is very slow and crowded. The set up is stupid too… they have people waiting for the drinks in the front of the store so you have to push past them on your way in AND out and trying to get to the fixings bar to put your milk and sugar in is also a royal pain. I have been skipping this location and going to a different, but less annoying one. In general, I find all the midtown Starbucks location lacking and annoying to deal with.

This place has been hit or miss for me. I’ve been a regular here for the past 2 weeks. My usual order is a mocha frappuchino with an extra shot of espresso but they’ve messed it up 50% of the time. The only reason I go back is because the other 50% the coffee was just how I wanted it! Not happy about the inconsistency in service though. They need to start paying more attention to orders here.

Three consecutive incorrect orders. No wonder this place is significantly less crowded than other locations.

Very friendly staff and great service. Even at 8 – 8:30 am in the morning, your maximum wait will probably be 10 minutes. Great stop on your walk to the office.

As expected for Starbucks. Standard coffee, pastries, etc. service was nice. Not at all crowded at around 8am.

This Starbucks is much less crowded than the ones down on 42nd. However, they don’t have any reserve coffees and the wait time can be bad during busy hours, since there are only a few people working at a time. Also limited seating options, works best as a takeaway spot.

This is from the first time I have been to this location, so what I’m about to say may have been just a bad day. I got two pumpkin spice lattes(grande) for my mom and I. Pretty fast service, and the staff were kind, but not friendly, or interactive, per say. When I got my latte, the barista asked me if I wanted whipped cream. I said no, and left. When I opened my latte, there was only a tall sized full amount in. It’s not just«whipped cream room». It’s almost half. My mom, who didn’t get whip as well, got the usual amount. Didn’t piss me off to go back. but that’s a good dollar… Anyways, just check before you leave. No other complaints, however. Again, could have just been a mix up or bad day.

Standard Starbucks, nothing special. I would however avoid this one at all cost. They are completely disorganized and the lines are generally long because of it. It’s also small which contributes to the long lines and bad service.

The staff at this Starbucks are unbelievable. I’m not sure if they have a quota at work to increase the number of forgotten drinks or purposely write the wrong drink down. I miss Esther, probably one of the nicer employees to work there.

Your typical run of the mill Starbucks. Smaller than most in crazy corporate midtown, so there is a good chance if you try to get in during breakfast that you’ll find yourself in a long line. It does move fairly quickly as the baristas will take orders in line. There is very limited seating options, so don’t plan to come here to hang out. The staff is pretty friendly, but communication is lacking between the baristas and the cashiers so occasionally you may wait a bit longer as your order have been overlooked. I tend to hover the counter(like everyone else) to make sure it’s being made. They have a great selection of mugs and coffee for purchase and a pretty well-stocked baked goods/cold food section. Personally, I love their berry yogurt for breakfast.

This Starbucks is pretty bad. It’s very small and cramped. Sometimes there is a smelly homeless person who sets up shop in there. I have been given the wrong change a few times. Even worse is the ghetto attitude that the employees regularly dish out. A black iced coffee shouldn’t be that hard to make, yet it is often too difficult for this genius staff to accomplish in a reasonable amount of time.

Choosing a favorite Starbucks is kind of like choosing a favorite minion — so many you can’t really keep track.(similar vocabulary to them too) This place definitely does it right though — in the morning the line is LONG. No, really — LONG. Like out-the-door-Heidi-Klum-is-behind-the-counter long. However, you walk in, someone with a headset on takes your exact order, your name(even down to the detail of whether you want honey packets with your tea). You keep trucking along, until you get to the counter, pay, and by that time they have already called your name and your drink is ready. Traffic control is very well handled, and the line actually moves relatively quickly.(Who’s rushing to get to work anyway by the way??) JFK Airport Customs could learn a few things.

This Starbucks is so great at keeping the long lines moving fast and efficiently in the mornings. Kudos to their morning team! :D

I actually usually like going to this location(it’s rather conveniently located next to the library) but just a hella bad experience. Which, of course, is when I decide to review it. Still, I think employees at coffee shops(even if it’s Starbucks) have a responsibility to provide a kind atmosphere that should get you wanting to come back. I guess it’s hard for a crappy corporate chain though, huh? If there’s a line, it may move fast, but it’s often not worth waiting for. The staff are generally nice and efficient, but there’s only so much one can deal with when there’s a line of 40 people and it’s wrapping outside of the store. Very little room to sit, and generally in the afternoon you’re not going to get one of three tables or three chairs that make up the ‘seating’ area. A guy who I THINK was the manager essentially yelled at me(«spoke sternly» is the phrase I am using to describe it) about dumping a smidge of my coffee in the trash to make room for cream. I guess it melts the bags? Well… um, buy unmelty bags? Don’t have the coffee at boiling temperatures? I mean, this sounds like a company-wide problem and NOTMINE. I think I’m going to get coffee at a better, friendly midtown location from now on.

As part of a move to a new office building with three Starbucks within one block in three different directions, I recently«auditioned» this Starbucks in the morning, at lunch, and in the afternoon. It came in first. Baristas are super nice, and the way the store is set up, the minute you walk in they’re asking you what you want. I love the guy who takes orders when I arrive in the morning. He’s so nice. And barista Jonathan, who’s usually serving up drinks when I’m there to receive mine is great, and seems to know a lot of the people who come in. Totally the Starbucks experience. It’s always busy in here. Always, but they do an outstanding job moving the line, serving up drinks, and everyone stays out of everyone else’s way. It’s unlike just about anywhere else in New York. Ha.
