Spitz & Peck did the flowers for my March wedding at the Yale Club in NYC. The Yale Club provides a list of florists that you must choose from, and a large factor in our decision was price. Spitz & Peck was by far the most inexpensive option and I was happy with the slideshow Wade showed me. I wanted a loose, spring garden feel to the flowers with a lot of greenery – pussy willows, eucalyptus, etc. Wade listened to my ideas and came up with samples that were 90% on point. We discussed a few tweaks and the end result was spectacular. Flowers were not a primary focus of my wedding planning and I was a little nervous that I didn’t spend much time on this. I was not micro-managing this part, and Wade and team really delivered. On top of that, Wade is a very nice, friendly person to work with and responsive to phone and email. Thank you Spitz & Peck!

To say Spitz and Peck ruined my wedding day would be the understatement of the year. I was forced by contract by my venue to use them and I will forever be bitter about it. They were extremely late delivering my bouquets and I was completely frantic thinking that I had no flowers for my wedding. No one answered the phone after calling numerous times. They sent two delinquent drug addicts to deliver them and if I wasn’t pacing up and down my driveway I never would have received them since they were at the wrong house. From there they were supposed to deliver my church flowers less than 10 minutes away. They never made it and delayed my ceremony while I sat outside with my entire bridal party wondering what was going on. When they finally showed up, sweating and most likely drunk, they set up the flowers in front of everyone in the church with their boxers hanging out. My entire family was completely mortified. To think of the thousands upon thousands we spent, we were disgusted. The owner didn’t really care and I had to beg to receive a small refund. A friend of mine got a complete refund because her bouquet was wrong(from a real florist)! These people have no conscience. They lost a lot of business because I tell everyone NOT to use them. If they were a guest at my wedding I can assure you they won’t be!

While Wade, the owner of Spitz and Peck was lovely to deal with BEFORE the contract was signed, his demeanor COMPLETELY changed afterwards. His conversation was rife with sarcasm(eg «Well if you want those flowers which are out of season, maybe you would know where to get them because I sure don’t»). When I called him after our affair to discuss some issues with him(He completely ignored my daughter’s selection of the type of wedding canopy selected, which he saw a photo of, the bridal bouquets were not what she chose, and he forgot to bring the mezinka wreaths), he took a defensive and defiant attitude. I would have completely understood if he had taken a conciliatory attitude and apologized(after all, anyone can make a mistake), but he acted as if we should have been grateful to him for allowing him to serve us! How totally obnoxious! Thus was not a charity case, and we paid good money to use Spitz and Peck, although to speak to Wade, you would think he was doing us a favor! There are many many florists in NYC, and I would definitely choose another one of those, and never use Spitz and Peck.

Do not be fooled by the fancy initial presentation. After that it is a great disappointment. It starts with being called into the office a few days before the event to «talk» about the contract. Then on the day of, you notice that the tablecloth on the reception table was substituted without your knowledge, the bridemaid’s bouquets arrived with brown petals, the boutonniers were not as ordered and there were no flowers surrounding the cake or along the aisle. I called to voice my disappointment and even sent a letter with photographs for verification, and never received a response. Customer service and concern does not stop when the event ends.

They did a fantastic job for our wedding. I have never seen such large roses in my life and they executed my vision perfectly. I was extremely happy with the results.

I could NEVER recommend this company in good conscience. My sister paid $ 5400 for her flowers for her wedding. She ordered an orange bouqet for herself, with a orange and yellow mix for the bridesmaids– they delivered PINK roses for everyone. They did not fix it, they simply told us the roses didn’t happen bloom orange.(?!) Her table arrangements were ordered to match fall colors-they placed PURPLE hydrangeas. Boutonnieres were limp. When we called to tell them how dissapointed we were, they said, «thank you» and hung up. There are so many lovely florists in New York and New Jersey-opt out of this company. They’re overpriced anyway.

I originally met with them in their NYC office for our wedding of 50. I wanted simple purple roses in glass vases & received a quote from them for $ 2200– I thought this was really expensive for such a small wedding and told the manager at Water’s Edge, our venue. She immediately called Spitz & Peck and had them call me to re-negotiate. We wound up spending $ 1100 in total but the purple roses in my bouquet had brown petals and we received limp boutonnieres! I called Spitz & Peck the day after our wedding and left a message for Bob, the owner. I heard back from the manager who had delivered our flowers to the Water’s Edge later that week, asking me what I wanted to do– I couldn’t believe the lack of follow through and customer service. I won’t recommend them.
