I am not big on Unilocal reviews but I had to do this one to save people. I moved area recently and gave a shot to this laundry place. Initially, everything seemed okay. Nothing was spectacular about their laundry but it was serving its purpose of cleaning my clothes. Approximately a month after I started going to this place, I decided to get my favorite green-red Marc Jacobs shirt cleaned. I dropped it off and when I picked it up the shirt was clean but it wasn’t green and red polka dotted shirt anymore, it became green-yellow polka dotted shirt. When I asked them why it happened, they told me that my shirt is made in India and this is a common problem with garments that are made there. I told them that this is not the first time I got this shirt cleaned. Their response was that I was lucky before :) At the end of day, discoloring wasn’t their fault, it was Marc Jacob’s fault! Do yourself a favor and don’t go this laundry shop. There are millions of laundries around, a few more step of walking can save lots of your garments, especially your favorite ones.

TOPNOTCHTAILORING! Although I can’t speak on their laundry or dry cleaning services but their Tailor, Kawser is a God send of a tailoring wizard I swear! I couldn’t find a midnight blue tuxedo so I bought a blue suit from Zara that needed tailoring & this man took that blue suit I brought him & turned it into a custom fitted, tailored tuxedo! I was so nervous when I walked in to see his work but he knocked it completely out of the park & I say this with no intention of being even remotely disingenuous. He is the only person I would ever go to for such a detailed & creative tailoring job. I recommend his best work HIGHLY.

I wish I could give this place NEGATIVE100 stars! The laundry place from HELL!!! I am not kidding. This is the worst, least professional place I have EVER been to. From someone who has never written a Unilocal review before, I can promise you that I would never go through the trouble if I didn’t have SUCHANAWEFULEXPERIENCE with this place! I dropped off my laundry after returning from a trip(so obviously I brought the clothes I like the best). I get my laundry back after it being delayed already with my beige canvas laundry bag discolored pink. ALLMYWHITECLOTHESWEREPINK as well as some darker clothes were now also stained with pink edges. In addition, I found random men’s underwear and t-shirts, but was missing my running shorts, sports bra, and another long-sleeve. When I talked to them, they told me that it was MYFAULT because I also dropped off red pants. WTF??? I even paid for separation of color. After about 15 minutes of arguing, they finally offered to at least try to wash my discolored stuff again. When I returned a few days later, I found my stuff not only with the same pink discoloration, but with additional black stains. I made it clear that I expected to be reimbursed. They refuse but offered $ 50 free laundry. ASIF I WOULDEVERWANTTOGOBACKTHERE!!! Final vertigo: If you remotely like your clothes, AVOIDTHISPLACELIKETHEPLAGUE.

Great place… until they lose your clothes and claim the only flaws in their system are you. At the end of a trip to NY, we decided to do one load of laundry after a few sweaty squash games. Instead of using our hotel’s laundry services(mistake #1), we decided to save a few bucks(mistake #2) and find another option on the streets of Soho, which brought us here(mistake #3). The two main items that took us to the laundry were my boyfriend’s soaked tshirt and shorts, even though we did have a small bag of other items to clean. When we picked up the laundry the next morning(they were fast… I’ll give them that), we opened a beautifully folded bag that smelled great. They have a $ 15 minimum for credit card charges. We didn’t have cash, so we paid the full $ 15 on our $ 10 bill and told the owner to enjoy the holidays. Everything was perfect… until we realized that the two articles of clothing that took us to this laundromat — the sweaty shirt and shorts — were missing. Upon a second look, we noticed that two matches to my socks were missing as well. Within about 15 minutes of leaving the shop, we called to get no answer. So, we went back. The owner claimed we had stated the impossible and that there was absolutely no way he had lost our clothes since HE personally did our laundry himself… my opinion is that he shouldn’t be doing the laundry himself if he doesn’t have his own system down pat. The worst thing about it was his solution… no apology, no offer to try to look for the clothing, no offer for a credit — NOTHING. Nonetheless, we have now left the city with lighter bags. Our visit to Soho Laundry turned out to be quite the expensive trip.

Soho Laundry is reliable and reasonably priced, and the people who work there are very nice.

i’ve been sending my laundry for wash and fold and my dry cleaning here for over a year now. they’ve never lost anything or really messed anything up. the owner knows me now and they pick up and deliver at no extra charge. laundry service is $ 1.10 per pound and done on-site which is a good deal for the area. i’m not crazy about this place but for the amount of dry-cleaning i do, its the best for the price!

It’s hard to review a laundry place because I find that most people choose their place primarily based on proximity to their apartment, and secondarily based on quality/price(in case you were wondering, I I am also«most people.») So this place is… decent. I’ve never lost or stained an item here, but my clothes come back folded a little sloppily and compacted into an oddly shaped block. I would have preferred a place with a DIY laundry option, but this place is only drop-off and dry cleaning, and it’s a bit expensive — $ 1.50 per pound to start and they charge you extra to separate darks/lights. They also have limited hours — they close at 7 pm during the week, which is pretty much when I leave the office. So on days where it’s down to the last saggy panty, I’m stuck booking it to the laundromat, laptop in tow. I’m fairly sure there’s a drop-off place up a four blocks on Sullivan that charges $ 1 per pound — but like most people, that’s just a bit too far away for me.

I brought my clothes to be dry cleaned and altered here. $ 100 later numerous pieces of clothing come back to me with various stains and dirt marks. While I was there I heard a guy telling them how they lost an entire load of drycleaning after they delivered it to the wrong address. Expensive and frustrating.
