I LOVETHISPLACE! Every time I go through Penn Station I order a freshly pressed juice. Whether I’m on or off my diet, I order something. Sometimes I get the ginger, apple, celery combo. Other times I order beet, carrot, and apple(super sweet). I like the kale, apple, and celery combo. Also the carrot, apple, celery, and ginger is yummy too! The people who make the juices are super friendly. One girl there knows exactly how many fruits and vegetables to use to make a 20ounce drink. The nice Indian woman who works the register is friendly and makes you feel glad to be there. TRYIT! This place is great!

Two words… LOBSTERBISQUE. Who would have thought a place like this would have amazing lobster bisque. I’m normally not a fan of any type of bisque, but was shockingly surprised by this one. So much so, during my first weeklong visit in NYC(which was years ago), I ate here like 4x. The chili is great here too. Talk about a jewel in the rough. Will come back here every time I’m in the city.

Great service, decent product, OK prices. Good for what it’s meant for, quick drink with some nutritious value – hard to come by w/in Penn.

Service was very good, but the product sucks. If you’re used to Jamba Juice standards, this isn’t going to cut it. didn’t see any frozen fruit — it was a combination of syrups. I’d take a pass on this one and hunt down some Naked Juice.

Lobster Bisque and Caribbean Way are two of the most awesome flavorful delights on the Earth, and they. omg…BOTH are at Smoothie King! I ride the NJ Transit instead of the PATH into the city on Saturdays and Sundays, and every once in a while i will stop at the King and grab a Caribbean Way with an energy boost and skip my way onto 7th Avenue. So fruity, so tropical and soo ice cold. And the sizes are crazy. One day, I will get that 32oz, and drink it too. The lobster bisque was actually a surprise to me. I wanted some soup, wasn’t sure where to get it, and then I remembered that SK also for some odd reason, had soup. Me being a seafood lover, jumped on the bisque and never got off. Trust me, it’s fantastic. And, i also saw Tailor Made from TVs I Love New York here, and what could be better than that? LOL.

I’m not usually a smoothie person but this morning I found myself in a predicament. I woke up after a night of sweet, nourishing scotch to find that my youthful immunity against hangovers is waning. Normally, I would take the hit and accept the hangover as my lot in life but the girl was present and I needed to appear like I was keeping it together. A muffin from Zarro’s or a cup of coffee probably would have shattered the delicate illusion I had constructed, because either of those would have wreaked havoc on my stomach. So, the smoothie. My usual problem with smoothies is that, even though they’re full of vitamins and nutrients and whatever else you want to add in, they are serious calorie bombs & I tend to drink them in under 5 minutes. Thus, a highly inefficient means of intaking calories v. enjoying my meal. Well, Smoothie King fixed that problem for me, all while allowing me to save face after a night of moderately reckless drinking. For $ 7.50, I got the medium-size Blueberry Blast with a shot of something or other, you know, to enhance it, or boost it, or whatever the cool smoothie crowd is calling it these days. The flavor was good, my stomach tolerated it without blowing my cover and it lasted forever. Literally, forever. I was drawing on the straw incessantly, as per my usual smoothie routine, but somehow Smoothie King figured out the magic thickness that made my drink last over an hour. Very good smoothie, great volume of drink/price ratio and much appreciation for posting the calorie count. Only 3 stars because, after all that, how often do I actually drink a smoothie?

Mmmmmm… I love the angel food smoothie! I’m sure it has a million calories, but regardless, they are consistently tasty and refreshing.

Quality fresh soup at Penn station?!! YES! I ordered a minestrone at the soup bar, you can get Boston vegetable, chili, among like 7 others. Minestrone has phatty shells and many vegetables and is not too salty. The chef/owner choruses that he makes soup as good as «the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld» and also«as good as your grandma used to make.» Well my grandma makes better but this soup and healthy eating depot is a pleasant reprieve from the inflated pizza and all the other numerous food stops in the station. You can also get a hundred different kind of smoothies here, they grow wheat grass, and have about a thousand different kinds of energy bars and other healthy junk food and kambucha, booty, etc.

These smoothies taste like thick kool-aide and are very high in calories. I prefer Jamba Juice. However, this place is a decent option if you’re looking for a quick snack in Penn Station.

You’ll pay an elevated Penn Station price — but get a decent juice or smoothie here. I like the fresh juices but often the berries are frozen. A good alternative when I am waiting for the LIRR.

There are a couple Smoothie Kings in Penn Station. This is the one closest to NJ Transit and Amtrak. I have tried the others but this one is the best. When I am commuting the Midtown Manhattan I always grab a smoothie before catching the train home. I am a big fan of the Hulk(2000 plus calories) but I do change it up every once in a while with a Power Punch Plus.
