I got the Hot Sausage. It was just a hot dog with a little spice. I got the french fries. They were shoe string and I like Dinner fries. I had to tell the vendors how to package them. They think their Styrofoam boxes are desirable, NOT! I told him to take foil, then line it with(2) paper towels, then squeeze ketchup, then put into a plastic bag. They did and I was able to eat hot fries. They insisted on putting napkins in the bag. I told them i did not want them because the would fall out of the bag and be all over the street. They put them in the bag anyway and one did fall out and did just that. Luckily they honored my wish to not have white cucumber sauce on my Gyro! The best news it that THEYWERETHEREFORTHECUSTOMER! on a sheet/hail icy cold day! This speaks volumes!!!:} I would go back again because they were there to serve the customer. Gorilla Cheese and Nuchas were ONLY there yesterday on Sunday… Hmmm? CASHONLY!:{

After taking in the glorious Farmer’s Market, I was starving for some protein. I took a chance on the Shish Kebab vendor in front of Regal Cinemas. They usually have hot dogs, corn, pretzels, lamb sausage and shish kebab. I took one bite into the meat on a stick and threw it out. The meat was not as flavorful or lean as I hoped and it tasted full of antibiotics. I could ignore that but then the bottle water was NOT sealed and filled with a pale yellow liquid. Eeew! I feel for the poor tourists who think this is best street food NY can offer.
