Sheckys is a complete SCAM. It has been 4 months and they have NOT given me a refund for the terrible Hamptons BBQ and winery trip august 2014. It was terrible that we were in the city on time and then they send a absolutely dirty bus then NOBUSATALL. We never made it to the hamptons! I was looking forward to it but NEVER again. The chaparone took down the names of the people there my sister received a refund but I have not and we went TOGETHER. I spoke to someone named Megan Greene who seemed like she would help… but now her email is cancelled? I call the number online and it’s out of service? A complete a utterly terrible company that is a complete scam. I will make sure I spread the word about this terrible company and I will take legal action because I have all my information and confirmations of this robbery.

The WORST company to participate in any event! I have attended events since 2010 and the quality has diminished severely. The customer service is lack luster and the events have been poorly organized. The last event I went to was in July(wine tasting, BBQ and Girl’s Day Out) which was disorganized and the Goody Bags were cheap. The food and table were disgusting. We arrived at each wine tasting late. In addition, we arrived at the BBQ late. When I reached out to customer service, they offered to refund me $ 20 for the BBQ portion or a Girl’s Day Out Ticket. I asked for a full refund and decline ever attending any other event!!! DONOT, I repeat DONOT waste your time attending anything of theirs. Better off organizing events on your own!

This really doesn’t deserve 1 star honestly. I attended the Shecky’s wine tasting event on Saturday, July 12, 2014 and I must say I was extremely unsatisfied and disappointed with the entire event. We were told to be at the buses at 8:30am so that we could board by 9am and leave promptly at 9:30am. This did not happen, the Shecky’s staff asked us to provide copies of the order confirmation which on the email itinerary which was sent to us stated that all we needed was our state identifications. I do not understand what was the significant hold up in checking people’s id’s and boarding the buses, however this process took 2 hours and people who purchased the wine tasting package did not leave NYC until 10:45. We had extremely limited times to be at the wineries and could not fully enjoy the wine tastings nor get the opportunity to make purchases because the buses were behind schedule. When we arrived at the BBQ, we were way behind schedule and got there around 4:30, per the Shecky’s itinerary we were supposed to be heading back to NYC around 5:30. We had to rush and get our food which was barely any and disgusting considering the cost of the ticket and the hype of the emails from Sheckys that his was going to be a classy event… I strongly disagree that burnt hamburgers and dry hot dogs to be anything but classy. To sum this all up I have attended many Shecky’s events in the past up until now and I have notice that they have gone extremely down hill. The vendors are not that great, the gift bags are horrible… I can get better deals from CVS compared to the crap we get in these bags now. Regarding this wine tasting trip I feel Shecky’s staff were extremely incompetent and lacked professionalism in my opinion. They were very unclear with directions and seemed like in many times that they did not know themselves and came up with answers as things went along. The entire event was disorganized and did not follow the itinerary that sent out. The buses did not have outlets to charge cell phones which is extremely important if you are going to organize an all day event. The food was absolutely horrible, I can’t believe water was not provided to people to drink after all of these wine tastings. I have always wanted to go to the Shecky’s wine tasting event for years and now I see that it is absolutely not worth the money or the time. This will be my last time attending any Shecky’s events. My suggestion to the Shecky’s corporate team is to really listen to the complaints that they have received not only from this event but from past years and really revamp the planning and organizing of these events. Also take the time to properly train your staff, get people in who are more mature and developed in customer service. We are the customers and we should be treated properly if you want us to continue to patronize your events. I really want a refund for the horrible experience I had on Saturday. I will be posting this review on other social media websites to warn others before falling victim to the Shecky’s lie that is portrayed on your website.

Unilocal, can we get a NEGATIVE star system for Shecky’s please? Because that was my experience with them for their 7÷12÷14 Girls Day Out in the Hampton’s event. What was billed as a classy wine tasting & tour followed by a Hampton’s BBQ turned out to be a poorly planned, classless and stressful day being herded around like cattle. Here’s a highlight: Paid $ 93 bucks for what was promised to be a classy day wine tasting followed by a BBQ in the Hamptons… and this is what we received: –Asked to be at bus line by 9:30AM, we arrive at 8:30AM and our bus didn’t leave until 10:45AM –The bus almost didn’t have enough seats even though we all pre-paid! –The bus was supposed to come with a guide/chaperone, but we didn’t get one so no one knew what was going on or how to handle the 2 ¼ hour delay in time schedule. –One of our fellow participants had the bus driver call Chris Hoffman, aka Shecky to figure out what to do. –What was supposed to be 45 min at TWO wineries turned out to be 20 minutes at each winery. 20 minutes INCLUDING getting off the bus, getting tickets/tokens for the wine tasting, trying to get a tasting and then getting back on the bus. –It was impossible to do a tasting because there were TWOBUSFULL of girls(approximately 100 girls, since each coach bus avg. about 48 – 52 girls depending on size) and only THREE people behind the bar pouring! –The little tasting we got, we had to basically do a WINESHOT in order to meet the time schedule to get back on the bus. –Once we arrived at the BBQ after the frantic wine tastings, there was another HUGELINE for the BBQ… which turned out to be nothing by disgusting white bread buns, hot dogs AND they ran out of hamburgers?! WTF? It was something straight out of any restaurant depot, nothing classy about there. –There was no water, only sponsored HonestTeas… which was delicious but it DOESNOTQUENCH thirst after wine tasting or a note 90 degree day! –The gift bags are LAUGHABLE, we got sample tampoons, monster energy drink(who drinks that!?), random sunblock and other junk that I tossed to the trash can. –We never got BBQ tickets or goody bag tickets because they didn’t put a chaperone on our bus! So we had to argue and explain with the people there that we paid and retell the horrible day we were already having… so my girlfriends and I just ended up leaving the walked to downtown Southhampton and grabbed lunch there at the Golden Pear Café. NEVERAGAINWILL I PARTICIPATEINANYSHECKY’S EVENTS! It’s basically a scam… they take your money, get their event sponsored(yes we noticed there was a bunch of sponsorships) so they don’t have to pay any money and basically loot consumers. I DEMAND A REFUND! I called their office and they told me to email , will update on that once I hear from Shecky’s…anyone want to wager whether I’ll actually get a response or refund???

Company is horrible. They get their staff from Craigslist promising them that the check will be in the mail and it is not. I worked an event for them and have never gotten paid. Even after multiple phone calls to receptionist, accountant, ceo Chris Hoffman. I would never work for this company or hire this company for any event knowing that they are taking advantage of their workers.

Shecky’s has not paid over 100 employees(that I know of) from their Girls’ Night Out events in the last 4 months. STOPGIVINGTHEMYOURMONEY! And if anyone is reading this, please go to your state’s webpage, find the contact for your labor department and report them. I worked the second event in NYC with more than 30 employees where no one had been paid for either and I was the ONLY one who opened a claim about them. Since no one else reported them, they were still allowed to hire another group of people and are hiring for another now. Get off Facebook and go to your state’s website and report them. It’s the only way to stop them from hiring and the only way to get your money.

The last GNO I went to was more of a flea market trip than a drink and shop girls night out. Not much to the goody bags. Wish they’d hold them the way they used to years ago. Fyi the photos on their site(at least for NYC events) are misleading. They’re from back when the events were much better.

If I could I would give Shecky’s events 0 star. What happened!!! I went to this event years ago and the past, I believe 2 or 3 years it just went down hill. The new location is awful. The goodie bags are just so cheap. No wonder they are always having sales on tickets! Either they change the way things are or hopefully some other GNO event from another company happens.

Went to my first Shecky’s Night Out with my girlfriends; the Holiday Night Out that was held on 82 Mercer Street. Paid $ 12 for our tickets… overall I was not impressed BUT I got my $ 12 worth. There were PLENTY of drinks. So it is very worth it, in two drinks you breakeven. The vendors were mainly jewelry and body products(like lotions and such). There were a few clothing vendors and hair. The prices of the jewelry were reasonable. You could snag earrings for as low as $ 8 and a necklace as low as $ 10. Although there was a vendor who sold the knock off Hermes bracelets for $ 45, seriously… stop with the knock offs. There was ONE food vendor with options for breaded shrimp, pork buns and beef empenadas. That’s it! Nothing else… needless to say I was SO hungry when we left. Also, it was about $ 5 for the food. The gift bags were terrible but again for $ 12 ticket we did OKAY. We got loads of lip balms, Kotex products, a Neutrogena face wash and a book(«Waking Up Married» — Harlequin novel). I won’t be attending again, but it was worth the experience. For $ 12 it was good.

Like most of these other reviews. I too believe the quality of the merchandise and events have gone down. My first ever Shecky’s event was Holiday Night Out 2009 at the Puck Building. It was so great! Recommended by my supervisor at the time. We went and had a great time! Great shops, cool jewelry and just a fun time with the girls! We spent the whole night drinking, sampling and shopping! The place was huge and had many vendors. Since then, I have raved and called out 2 girl friends to join me! Last year at the 2011HNO in the metropolitan pavilion was not the best. but at least the reusable totes still had the logos. I promised the events are usually better so we went to GNO in Oct and yet again ANOTHERLETDOWN — this time they DIDN’T HAVESHECKY’S LOGOBAGS — they had these cheap red plastic things with«free samples» and NOTFILLEDWITHFREESAMPLES, JUSTLIKE6THINGS. Literally that’s what I got –6 items. So terrible. We are going to one more this year HNO since we already bought tickets and I really hope it’s decent this year, otherwise Shecky is going to lose 3 more customers than they already have.

Shecky’s sucks! The Venue at SIR57 was TINY, the lines for the drinks, nails, massages, makeup was LONG. They only had 3 nail techs, 2 masseuces, and a couple makeup stands for hundreds of people. There were two stations for alcohol, 1 serving cheap wine and beer and another serving nasty diet cocktails. The goodie bag was horrible: softlips lip gloss, a packet of fake sugar, neutrogena acne cleanser, coupons, and curl crème. Too crowded, vendors were few and horrible… I can go on and on. What happened to Sheckys?! Don’t waste your time or money.

SHECKY’S GIRLNIGHTOUTSUCKS!!! Long lines and goodie bags filled with Goodies from possibly a 99 cent store. The vendors they promote were not there, alcohol sucked and the space sucked(10 ave and 37th street). I was disappointed on 2 events with shecky and insulted at the thin plastic bags and repulsive goodies they gave. definitely not worth my money or my time.

attended my first Shecky’s event last night at SIR on 37 between 10th&11th ave. I paid 15 + tax = 16.5 for the ticket. The content of the the goodby bag are as flws: a. 1 can of soda b. 1×3 pack lip balm(similar to chapstick but a slightly better) c. 1 pack of stickon nail d. 1 box of low or no calorie sweetener e. 1 full size 6 oz Neutrogena acne wash f. 1 birthday card I’d estimate the vendor split to be 65% jewelery, 15 clothing/handbag, 10%beauty/skin care and 10% candles, cards, cupcake, etc. There were no freebie items other than the goody bag. The alcohol/soda is free, wine stand ran out of wine before 8pm. Cocktail stand still serving but gotta stand in line for a while. they were also giving free mani and makeup makeover(by maybelline)…again gotta stand in long lines. If you love alcohol and dont’ mind standing and waiting in line for each plastic cup full, or if you are into costume jewelry/knick knacks/chachkas and whatnots, then this event is def for you. I want to add that i did manage to purchase an item that i was very happy with. NORDNY which is a bath/spa company was a vendor there. I purchased a jar of their dead sea mud for $ 25. on their company website, same product is $ 35.

I attended Sheckys last night at SIR57 for the first time. I am on vacation from florida, and my two girlfriends were excited for me to come along with them since they attended the previous ones. I had done some research on earlier Sheckys events and saw positive reviews(the website also added some hype), so I was excited to go. When we got there, the check in was fine and quick, but when we wanted to leave for a moment to grab our«goodie bags,» the man at the door would not allow it. He insisted we get them after, even though others were allowed to get theirs beforehand. Moving along, the venue was filled with people, but I expected to see more vendors. The website listed numerous vendors, with a few in particular I wanted to buy from, that were not present… The vendors that were in attendance were not very impressive; although I did score some awesome, inexpensive makeup from Jaguar Luxury Cosmetics, so kudos to them… Ok, lets move on to the«goodie bags.» These things were a joke! My girlfriend recalled at previous events receiving great things from Chanel and Redken. This time around when we opened them up, we couldn’t believe what we got. There was a can of sparkling water, energy tabs that you dissolve in water, fake nails, lotion, Wisk detergent sample, coupons for said sample, and some lip gloss? Mine was a «special edition» that had snowflakes on the package, telling me mine was probably hanging around for a bit. There was nothing to be impressed with whatsoever. I gave it a 2 star rating only because my girlfriends and I got a good amount of alcohol out of the deal.

I just went last night to one of the worst Shecky’s ever. Ever since Shecky’s moved from the Puck building, the venues have gotten worse and worse. This time, Shecky’s was at 37th street and 10th avenue, where you have to pass a car wash and tire-changing places just to get to it. I got there after 6, and already I saw people leaving with a red bag on their arm. To my surprise, Shecky’s can’t even afford to have their logos printed on their pink bags anymore! Instead, I was given a plain red bag, which made me look like I’d been shopping in Chinatown. The products were all trial size samples that you could get for free just by stopping at a cosmetic counter. To make up for the lack of stuff, they provided me with 2 of everything — 2 mini shampoos, 2 mini lotions, etc. To make it feel heavier, all the bags had a can of soda in them. To add insult to injury, I was carrying a heavy bag from work and was told there was no check-in! That’s right, if had a coat or an umbrella, tough luck — you had to carry it around with you all night long because Shecky’s didn’t even have the $ to hire a check in person. Shecky’s has been going downhill for awhile now. Had I not gotten a discount ticket, I wouldn’t have come at all. Now I know that, even with a discount tix, it’s not worth it! A total waste of my time. Never again.

One word: LAME! Full of vendors ready to rip you off. The jewelry were interesting to look at but wasn’t that cheap. As for the clothes… it looked like stuff you would get from Conway or the 99 cent store. IDK, but it just looked CHEAP. There was NOTHING to do there. Walk around and buy crappy stuff? That’s pretty much it. There’s nothing free there. My sister did win a Stella & Dot bracelet though. And the cupcake vendors who were there had a really good Hennessy fused cupcake. I would go back just for the cupcakes, NOTHINGELSE. Goodie bag was eh. Like the reviews before me, mostly drugstore stuff. Got a Jergens lotion, hair ties, deodorant, gold bond body wash(small sample size), etc. The free drink my sister and i decided to get is cranberry juice. Not even sure if we were allowed to get 1 free alcoholic drink. I give it an extra star just for the cupcakes and bc my sister won the bracelet from stella and dot. other than that, wack wack wack. Don’t waste your time!

I used to go to Shecky’s events 5 – 6 years ago when I worked with one of the sponsors. The shopping experience was always too chaotic but the gift bags were always phenomemal, more than making up for the terrible atmosphere — they were always packed with full-size samples of cool new beauty brands, current fashion mag issues, etc. I saw a Goldstar deal for a Shecky’s event and figured I’d go for old times’ sake, assuming the gift bag would make it worthwhile. What a waste. The GNO3÷7÷12 gift bag was mostly mini-size samples of pedestrian drugstore brands. Specifically: full-size Vitamin Water Zero full-size Jergens moisturizer 1.5 oz Aveeno Moisturizer .5 oz Lady Speed Stick 1 oz Gold Bond hand sanitizer .75 oz Gold Bond body wash(2 varieties) plastic cocktail shaker ImPress press-on nails(so tacky!!) .07 oz SoftLips chapstick .03 oz fcuk her eau de toilette vial Goody hairbands(2 varieties) $ 5 mail-in coupon on Rosa Regale wine You could buy all this at Duane Reade for less than the discounted Goldstar price(never mind the full price!) and skip the whole indoor flea market experience that is Shecky’s 2012. Don’t waste your time and money.

It wasn’t at this location, but my friend J.S. got us tickets to the most recent Shecky’s event, at 82 Mercer. It was fun and luckily we didn’t have to wait in line(which went down the block). There was free white wine and midori. The clothing, jewelry and make-up on sale were quite the range… going from $ 2 fake eyelashes and $ 20 dresses to $ 100+ necklaces and purses. There was also a station to take pictures with male models, but I wasn’t that into the models themselves. Not buff or tall enough maybe? lol. And there was no where to find out where I could find the picture we took with them. So it’s out there somewhere. I did think the midori bartender we chatted it up with was very cute. :) It was just great to hang out with some of my favorite girls, drink up, and browse before a night out!

Free booze Free swag Exclusive shopping… …no its not a Unilocal even its Shecky’s girls night out and its absolutely awesome! Its a pity they dont do it more often buts its an annual event in different locations. The past 2 years i have went, it was in Santa Monica. The booths are reasonable and you find cute stuff that only YOU will have, most of the bartenders are hot guys, and you get a goody bag full of great stuff like shower gels, facial stuff… just girly stuff. I am a fan and will be going every year!
