I went to Dr. Levy on a Sunday as an emergency appointment with an abscessed rear molar. My face was swollen pretty bad. After his exam, he made an incision at gum line to relieve the infection and to drain, was prescribed antibiotics and pain meds, and schedule an appointment for the following Wednesday. He said that the tooth needed to be extracted. Paid $ 1500.00 for that visit. When I contacted him regarding cost of the extraction on Wednesday, he said, he would refer me to a surgeon, that he was going to just do a full evaluation. (more money). I called another dentist for an appointment for the extraction and they said if I could get the xrays he did that would be great, when I called back Dr. Levy, he said he was not in office and just operated on an emergency basis and would not be available at office. Funny that he had scheduled me that Wednesday anyhow. So I was basically refused the xrays that I paid for and he offered NO alternatives to get those. His answer was that my other dentist would need to do his own xrays. I call BS on that. Part of the outrageous fee of $ 1500 I paid included those xrays which are my property that I paid for. Bad experience.

Dr. Levy is hands down the calmest, most professional emergency dentist in the city.
