Thank you Sarah and your staff for a wonderful non salon experience. My hair has never grown in better since becoming a regular at your «Sanctuary». Christie and Berhann are always so welcoming and make everyone feel important Sarah is such a Professionsl and so passionate about her work. I wish them the best.

N doubt that this haircutter is suitable for cuting men’s hair.
If you are a woman with average hair that requires a styist Sarah Mills
is not for you. She has no clue how to cut women’s hair other then
straight across. She is also super critical — if your hair is colored elsewhere
watchout — she will tell you how awfull the color is and that you must go
to her colorist who comes in once a week. If your hair is not in the best
condition she will try to sell you products.
For $ 200 there must be another hairstylist out there that is skilled in
styling women’s hair.

Fantastic quality of haircut. The only reason I did not give five stars is because the appointment usually starts late and it is really expensive. But I guess you get what you pay for because Sarah ALWAYS gives an amazing haircut!
I also like that it is a quiet space (a private salon) and it doesn’t make me nauseated from the smell of tons of hair product being sprayed around. I highly recommend Sarah Mills!

Umm. Just called and asked if they could take me for a quick bangs trim. She said well we could get you in but we don’t really do that unless you are a client. Really? If i pay you to do something doesn’t that mean I AM A CLIENT? Might wanna work on your customer acquisition methods!

Sarah’s salon in an apartment in Tribeca is an oasis of calm. It’s just you and Sarah and her charming colourist Beth-​Ann and one or two other clients enjoying the soothing music and comfortable surroundings.
There’s no feeling that you are a number here. You get personal, attentive and friendly service. Sarah and Beth-​Ann both chat to you to get to know your personal style and take the time to talk about their ideas for your hair.
I walked out of there with a great new haircut, feeling like a million bucks!
It may be expensive, but it’s worth it! I’ll be back…

Best private salon in the City, I’ve been going to Sarah, in her phenomenal loft — for years — actually, ever since she won New York Magazine’s «Best Men’s Cut» in 2005. She is as nice and kind as she is skilled — you just can’t beat a private studio, no pretention, and the best haircut you have ever had, period. Cuts hair for men and women, book quickly as she fills up!
