BESTTATTOOSHOPEVER! I have gotten at least 6 tattoos done at this shop. Very professional, awesome service, store was pretty pact and workers kept me updated and made sure I was okay. I have also gotten my nose & tongue pierced A few years back and it has healed perfectly since then. Artists made sure I was comfortable, relaxed and were very friendly! I came into this shop with my tattoo ideas and Deon brought my ideas to life along with his artist. I have went to many other shops on the ave and none of them were as professional as rising Phoenix ink. I highly recommend anyone looking for a tattoo to stop at this shop & get some dope quality ink done! You won’t be disappointed!

This is a great shop. When you walk in you feel welcomed and the staff help you find an idea or if you have one they will give you good advice. I had a picture but the owner told me it was nice, but explained why it wouldn’t work as a tattoo. He took the time to find me an even better picture and I love how it came out. I’ve been there 3 times since and always recommend to my friends. It’s also always clean, and the prices are fair.

DONOTGOHERE!!! TRUSTME!!! I WON’T STEERYOUWRONG!!! This has got to be THEEWORST experience with tattoos that I have ever had and I have had experiences with several shops so far. I came to this shop because my cousin got one of her tattoos here. I DONOT go to shops on Jamaica Ave for the exact reasons I’m about to give you. I walked into the shop and the owner greeted me. He was nice but not too professional. He made some inappropriate jokes. I showed him a picture of what I wanted(a Polynesian elephant) and he found it on the internet and printed it out! He gave it to his artist and said he would«draw it up and I could come back tomorrow for the first of two sessions. I put in my down payment and left. The next day, I came back only to see that instead of actually DRAWINGOUT my tattoo, the artist traced it on the back of the paper. With a nonrefundable down payment I figured maybe he’ll be better than tracing on a piece of paper. As any 5 year old could do that. The owner kept saying«I don’t know if it’ll come out how you want. This isn’t his tattoo and there’s too many lines. He’ll try the best he can but I can guarantee anything»…I immediately though, you’re an artist, you should be able to complete a body of work because that’s what you promise. Not give me some rant about TRYING and it MAYNOTCOMEOUTGOOD. So, I start my tattoo and it was going alright and then I looked in the mirror!!! All the lines were crooked, He put less lines in and bigger spaces, the trunk and tusk looked nothing like the picture. The guy had finish the outline when he only had a few lines left and when I said that I couldn’t take anymore(My skin was RED and SORE) the owner came over and said that I had no choice and that it was either I took the pain or don’t come back. I was ABSOLUTELYSHOCKED!!! How can you treat paying customers like that. He proceeded to tell me that I am a child and need to listen to him because it was his shop and he called the shots! Just keep in mind my License haven’t said«Under 21» for YEARS!!! The owner then pulled up a chair and said I had two options, either let the tattoo artist(I use this word loosely) finish his job because he changed his mind on having two sessions, I had to complete the entire tattoo in one session or don’t come back. This made me so furious. I paid for two sessions and he was basically telling me that I no longer had that, I only have one session. I told the artist to finish the outline and I would leave and wouldn’t be coming back. The owner told the tattoo guy that he isn’t doing anything until he told him to. And I was about to get up and put my top on then he told him to continue. I let his clean up some lines(though the lines were as crappy as they could get) and I left without coming back. THEOWNERWASSOUNPROFESSIONALANDDOESNOTKNOWHOWTODOPROPERBUSINESS. SOSAD!!! The results of my tattoo has been horrendous! Two weeks after getting the tattoo, I started getting little boils over the tattoo, they were hard and would pop up all over my skin around the area where the tattoo was placed. I always experience itching(though its been almost a year since I’ve gotten the tattoo). The itching is uncontrollable. SOMETIMESITITCHESSOBADTHATNOTEVENLOTIONHELPS. I came in because my right bar came out my nipple while cleaning it the day before…(Go to a reputable shop and have a situation like this fixed ASAP!!) I was kinda guarded when it comes MOST businesses on Jamaica Ave. I went it met with the owner(he was on the computer, he stopped greeted me(Was surprised there). i told him my situation and he offered me a free curved bar. I said no thanks(I have titanium bars already) I sat down in a chair he tries to push the bar in but it’s not going anywhere. The holes are beginning to close… He pushed that bar in with some ointment on it. I’m happy to have my right bar in and taking good care of it… If I need my bar changed I know where I will go. The ONLY thing I don’t like in the studio is the fact they need to put real curtins up, to give customers privacy. They have these black plastic things up…(Nooo…large curtins for each booth! THAT’s the ONLY reason they get 3STARS… KEEEP up the good customer service + Curtins= 4 stars) Other than that I will come back.
