I love this place! The instructors here are extremely knowledgeable and very approachable. You’ll also get help from other students you train with. Everyone is willing to critique and give you feedback as you begin your bjj journey. It’ll be a long one, so please be patient.

Everyone is afraid of going to a new school. Renzo Gracie Astoria has been awesome at making me feel at home in a new school, and a new city. This is legitimate Gracie jiujitsu taught by master instructor Magno Gama and is as close in Gracie lineage as you can get in Queens. Fantastic school, awsome team, top rate jiujitsu.

Magno is a great professor. White, blue, purple, or brown belt doesnt matter everyone gets equal attention and he really takes his time to help you. Plus great facilities, large mat space and lockers with showers

Before I came here, I ‘ve never heard about BJJ. I came in renzo Gracie because of my friend’s recommendation. However, After I met Magno who is professor in Renzo, I started to be attractive to Brazilian Jiu-​jitsu. He has to get compliment from people. He is very generous and equal to all of his students. Even though I am super beginner, he always teach kindly and carefully. Also, other students and instructors are nice to beginners. They tried to let me know about BJJ when they have a chance or when we train it.
If you look for interesting gym or special place, I strongly recommend this awesome place :)

I like this place, friendly environment Chris, Nick and Marwin are good instructors dedicated to the sport and Magno is a good professor very precise, detailed and technical when it comes to moves I enjoy training here !

Renzo Gracie Astoria has amazing instruction for both kids and adults my daughter has been taking Bjj with professor Marwin for about 4 months and she has learned a lot after her first class she was hooked
I’ve been coming here in and off for about 3 years as work schedule allows and Magno is an amazing instructor

Best BJJ academy. Hands down.
Not only do I feel like I’m getting the best training by the one and only Magno Gama but what makes it even better is my fellow students make the experience that much more enjoyable.
Plus, it’s located in one of the best neighborhoods in Queens– Astoria. Just a few blocks away from trains N, Q, R, M.
All I can say is sign up today and you’ll be hooked! Promise.

I want to make this clear, I follow this school on Facebook and from what I see I know the level of training is excellent. Anytime a school has Renzo Gracie attached to it you should know there are world class guys working and running the place.
My issue originally was a mistake, one that was fixed immediately when brought to their attention.
