We were staying in the Hilton Garden Inn on 54th and was looking for a non-touristy place. Great food, ambiance and the drinks were awesomely strong!!!

Stopped in for lunch and the food was great! Crab cake BLT was amazing. The house burger was cooked perfectly. The service was very good as well, definitely coming back.

Came in here for dinner. It was right next to my hotel, and looked comfortable and cosy. I sat at the bar and had a glass of Cabernet that was really excellent. I also ordered the Res 58 burger, which has a real thick patty, cheese(don’t remember the type, think it was Gorgonzola), and an onion ring. The burger came with fries and cost $ 15. It was a comfortable place to sit and the restaurant had a nice ambience with the dark red walls. It seemed like a neighborhood type place that has its regulars who always go there. The bartender was friendly. The burger, though, was not the best I’ve had and was a little dry. I know $ 15 is sanded for New York prices, and a $ 13 glass of wine is also standard, but still this came out a little pricy for what I got.

Dropped in here Monday evening after reading good reviews. We needed a decent burger close to our hotel as our feet were aching after a hard days shopping. We went straight for the Red58 burger, some onion rings and a fresh fish sandwich. Food was great, burger was succulent and tasty. The only thing that we didn’t like was the bill that had a sneaky 20% gratuity added and then invited more on top. Personally I prefer to leave a cash tip but that wasn’t an option. The service was fine but it didn’t feel right to me.

Was recommend to come here and it was totally worth every penny. Kevin is one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had. In general awesome service great music and definitely great drinks. Will definitely come back every time I’m in New York.

Once more unto the breach, dear friends… So a little less than a year after my previous poor experience with Red 58 I took my own advice and did what we should have done on our last visit. I ordered a Red 58 burger rare, the truffle fries, and a beer or two. Great food, drink, and service in an enjoyable bar at a reasonable price — who could ask for anything more? Especially in NYC.

Went here for a drink on a first date. Thursday night around 7. There were plenty of tables available. The big worry on a first date on a Thursday is crowding. No worry here. Tables were fine. Music was not too loud. Did not try the food, but the drinks were modest by NYC standards($ 12.50 for a Ketel and Tonic). I would go here again for a date.

I ventured into this place at the end of my trip, and I’m bummed I didn’t go in sooner! I was staying at the hotel nearby, so I placed a to-go order the night before I flew out. I ran down to Red 58, and my order was still being prepared, so I hung at the bar. First of all, the bartender is really friendly, has a nice pour, and is ridiculously hot. Another hot thing? My chicken sandwich and fries that came out of the kitchen shortly thereafter. The chicken sandwich was really good, but the star was the fries! Beautiful, crispy, crunchy, golden exterior covering the perfect pillowy softness of fresh potato underneath. I’m not exactly a fry connoisseur, but those were some gd amazeball fries! This is a great place to grab a drink with a friend or enjoy some yummy food, I would definitely go back!

Stopped by for a quick dinner and drink before a show at Carnegie Hall. They accepted the«1 free glass of wine when you buy an entrée» coupon on the Unilocal app without a hitch(your choices are pinot grigio, pinot noir, and sauvignon blanc). The crabcakes were absolutely delicious and the tartar sauce was a light, perfect compliment to the meal. The bar in the front seemed very lively and a good place to mingle. If i’m in the area, I will definitely stop by again.

Great, low key bar on the edge of the theater district. Very friendly bartenders and patrons alike. Can’t speak to the food, but the drinks were reasonably priced. A great find after a performance at Carnegie Hall.

This place is simply amazing. We had the after party to my brothers wedding here. The food was delicious, staff incredibly helpful, and the presentation they set up was amazing. Our family and friends could not have been any happier. Thanks again for everything guys, and keep up the good work! P.S. Our group had the pulled pork sliders, truffle fries, chicken fajita, cuban panini, and red 58 burger. While the pulled pork/truffle fries received the most compliments, everything was absolutely delicious and I would recommend all of it!

Great spot for HH. Love the house red. Food meh. Had to send steak salad back. Way too fatty and grisly. Service is ok. They do have outdoor seating but like most bars with sidewalk tables you are inhaling other patrons cigarette smoke bc the smoking area is right next to it. This is a general Nyc pet peeve that’s not specific to this place but still annoying nonetheless.

Here on business. Never been to New York before, but this experience was a great one. Bartender was great to talk to about the local area and sports going on. Got a the pork chop and was really happy with the purchase. Thinking about returning tomorrow to try other food selections.

Stopped in for lunch at Red 58 prior to a Carnegie Hall performance. The entire interior is red and black. The female bartender was extremely friendly and hospitable. She was mixing drinks and was a food server at the tables. This lady did everything. She made the most delicious drink called a Red Light Cocktail which included Keitel One Vodka. The drink was $ 12.00. My entrée was a incredibly delicious Crabcake BLT with a side salad. You can also get fries instead. I never had such a incredibly fresh crab cake in my life. This lunch entrée was $ 15.00. An excellent meal for $ 27 in New York is cheap. The background music was upbeat but very pleasant. There are two or maybe three TVs for sports viewing. My entire experience there was fantastic! Definitely return to this restaurant.

E-Scale: 9⁄10 The inside of this place is black and red and looks a bit like an asian palace or hookah room. I love the number of cocktails they have though they are a tad pricey. My favorite are the truffletini, maresita, and the cosmo. If you are a beer and shots person, this is not the place for you. Their shots are $ 11 for Jack Daniels. Isaac the bartender is usually there late at night when I go and he is always friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, especially the pork chops/mashed potatoes and four cheese ravioli. The pork chops/mashed potatoes are very buttery, served hot, even at midnight. Pork chops were tender. Mashed potatoes not lumpy. Neither was over seasoned with salt. The ravioli was fantastic. The tomato sauce was seasoned well and there is just enough raviolis to fill me up. I go here quite frequently and I’ve never been disappointed by the cocktails or food.

I had some pork sliders that were out of this world, but they were in between sliders and hamburgers — they were slideburgers! Anyway, delish! I went at about 11:30pm on a Sunday night — the place was empty, which was perfect for a quiet, intimate dynamic. ;^D
