I have gotten several shirts here and have worked with Lila both times I went. The shirts have been great and last through a lot of wear and tear and laundering. I would highly recommend Rebecca and Drew to women who have a big bust!

I’ve now visited the Rebecca and Drew store in NY in person twice and ordered via email twice, and I wanted to finally write a review. I have several shirts and a couple shirt dresses. Both times that I went into the store, I worked with Lila, and she was fantastic. She was able to help me sort through the many, many fabric, button, collar, and other options, but does not pressure you to buy at all! The shirts themselves are great. Yes, they are expensive, but your whole outfit looks so much more put together with the way these shirts fit. And mine have held up well over the past couple of years. I highly recommend them!

I bought a deal on Gilt City for these shirts, and was definitely pleased with the level of customer service. The woman who helped me, Lila, was very helpful and accomodating(she even brought in chocolate covered strawberries!). However, for the original prices of these shirts($ 150 and up), I expected the quality and style of these shirts to be far superior. These shirts are cotton shirts made in China. Also, I found the traditional shirts to be a bit shorter than I would like — they barely fit into my pants(if I wanted to get them longer, I would have to get them custom made which would be over 200 each). Also, the buttons are kind of odd on the shirts — they have two buttons near the bust(to prevent rouging), but then go to just one button on the rest of the shirt. It’s not a big deal, but then again, for $ 150 a shirt, doesn’t every detail matter? Since I got a deal, I can’t say I’m terribly disappointed, but I wouldn’t pay full price for these shirts. I’d recommend going to a good tailor and picking out your own material — it would be about the same price if not cheaper!

This little shop focuses on very well tailored women’s clothing. Price range for shirts is $ 150 – 250 per shirt. As has been advertised in Oprah as well as many fashion magazine, this little boutique’s specialty is on dress shirts based on bra size. This means that for the many women out there who find their shirts gaping, R&A has different cuts that resolve that issue. Shirts come in two different cuts: 1) the slim fit and 2) the traditional fit. The traditional fit cut is exactly what it says. Shirt fits somewhat loosely and is perfect for a conservative work environment. The slimfit cut one on the other hand is very fitted. Their cloth does not have much if any stretch to it so be careful and truthful to the measurements given on the website. Their shirts are not overly long and while they are long enough to tuck into pants/skirts, they are also short enough that you could wear it untucked as well if you get regular length. I’ve found sleeve length to be just right and the quality of the cloth they use is great. They have double buttons right about the chest area which makes a world’s difference as it keeps shirts from gaping. All in all, I’ve been extremely happy with their shirts. This is the only american shirt dressmaker that I actually like. It’s better than Charles Tyrwhitt(I don’t like the polyester like material many of their women’s shirts are made of) and better than Thomas Pink as well. I have never paid full price and have always bought shirts on sales. And given how nicely their shirts fit, that deserves 4 stars in my book. Now, if you’re paying full price, well, I’d knock one if not two stars. If you can, stop by their store to try on actual shirts to see which cut fits you best before buying.
