For the first time, was struck by sciatica-like symptoms and the medication recommended by my PCP was doing nothing to alleviate the pain. Was torn between chiropractic which I’d experienced positively many years ago and acupuncture which seems more fashionable right now. Checked on my insurance and realized that they are covered in similar fashion. Decided to try and find a chiropractor based on my earlier experience. Rob is VERY good at what he does. He has an immediate grasp of what to focus on, makes the patient relax and you walk out feeling liberated from constriction. He is also accessible with flexible hours. Another plus is that unlike many caregivers, he is comfortable with technology. The office is attractive, with good lighting. Overall Rob is a great chiropractor for those on the Upper West Side or anyone on the 1,2,3 or B and C lines.

I’ve been going to West 79th Street Chiropractic for about 5 years — I was a patient before Rob came into the picture! LOVE this place. Rob is great at making you feel at ease, and adjustments always make me feel about a thousand times better. He’s seen me through some pretty hairy experiences, including times when I was almost unable to walk. Great about working with you as an individual, too, in terms of payment plans, etc. 4 stars because occasionally I’d like a little more information about what’s going on with my body than Rob is forthcoming with — I’m a biology nut and like to hear technical jargon and the specific issue with whatever bones are out of alignment, and getting him to talk about this has been difficult. This is totally a personal quirk though, and really has nothing to do with how Rob makes you feel as a patient and as a part of his chiropractic/wellness community. ^_^

Years ago the Yankees had an outfielder named Hector Lopez who earned the nickname«What a pair of hands!» for his great fielding skills. I’ve used many chiropractors over the years and Dr. D is just excellent and also deserves the«What a pair of hands!» moniker. He is skilled, friendly, and takes time to know his patients and what ails them. I use his services as does my wife and even my ex! I suggest that you make an appointment for your first few visits but after that things can be pretty casual, I think. Check with Dr. D.
