Martini was not very good. They offered a check in discount that they did not honor. The sidecar was not very good. The cheese plate was good but took over 25 minutes to come out. It is over priced as well. But it’s a nice looking place.

The one star is for ambience and the other is because they carry Johnnie Walker Red, a common call brand that, for some reason, well stocked bars don’t carry. The problem was that the bar was half full with folks occupying every other seat and we needed two. There were three seats open but with a dirty empty whine, and I do mean whine, glass in the middle. Realizing the whine drinker was apparently gone, we sat down. After 10 minutes of sneers from the unpleasant bartender, and his not removing the glass or the previous customers charge document, we left. During this period, he managed to pour one glass of whine. Seemed to be quite a feat for him

Nestled in the Warwick Hotel, Randolph’s Bar and Lounge was the right spot at the right time on a rainy early Monday afternoon after spending a couple of hours in the Moma. I was hungry, thirsty and my phone needed to be charged and they graciously offered all three. I ordered the vegetarian dish on the menu and added Salmon to it for the astoundingly reasonable price of $ 6.00. With the check in offer of 20% off I had myself a healthy and delicious lunch before heading up to the Upper East side to visit more museums. I might have been able to do better, but Randolph’s was just perfect for my quick repast.

It’s nice to come here have a drink next to the big windows and see people pass by. And that’s what we did after strolling through 5th avenue the whole day. It was a nice little stop before dinner. I had a glass of Bailey’s & hubby had a scotch, both glasses were generous. The service was ok, not very fast nor very friendly, but nothing too bad.

What a great place to chill, have a bite and watch people. I checked in on FB and the manager came by to say hi and offer a drink. Christopher, our waiter was top notch and the lite bites, wine and coffee with Baileys was perfect pre theater. Everyone nearby was chatting about shows they were going to see. New York and visitors at their best… A great spot to chill and escape the crowd, cold or whatever. Thanks Mr. Manager for Coming To Say hi and the free drink. You are too cute.

Meeting up with another couple at the Warwick Hotel, my girl and I decided to sit and grab a drink at Randolph’s while waiting for the love-birds to get back from their meandering. Having eaten a rather hearty lunch late in the day we were not in the mood for dinner yet so we decided to just sit back and relax with a glass of wine. I chose a «super Tuscan» Brancaia which has the bold, hearty flavor you expect from a mostly Sangiovese blend. My girl decided to go with the Château la Gordonne rosé which was a little too soft for my palate. After some time the friends we were waiting for finally arrived(with a crap load of random stuff they bought) and after dropping off their conquest decided to join us at the restaurant. We drank and chit-chatted for some time which was quite difficult considering the restaurant was beyond packed on that evening. Randolph’s is warm and inviting with the simple elegance to make guests feel right at home. Leather lounge chairs abound along with plenty use of wood fixtures. It kind of reminds me of the scene in Titanic where the men retire to their private smoke room to enjoy a glass of cognac and smoke cigars. The place is dimly lit but not really dark. For a bar and lounge attached to a hotel it’s a great spot to just chillax for some time. Going back to my party and I – realizing that we needed some kind of food to hold us over until we finally got hungry enough to venture outside in the gloomy, drizzly weather we ordered the cheese and meat platter along with some lobster sliders. The wine we were drinking fit quite well with what we ordered. The cheese and meat platter had the usual suspects with smoked blue cheese in particular being my favorite. The lobster sliders were a disappointment especially after hearing much praise about how good it was from our server. I don’t know if they just got overwhelmed in the kitchen, but the lobster salad in the slider tasted like something out of Costco and the bread, which was supposed to be buttery, tasted soggy. At $ 22 a pop for a small appetizer I wasn’t too happy. But hey what are you going to do. It’s a lounge in a luxury hotel in the middle of New York City during the holidays. I should have expected it. Overall though Randolph’s was a good stop before doing the touristy thing around the area.

We stopped in at Randolph’s after a show at City Center. The windows were decorated with white Christmas lights and it looked like a warm, inviting place in a cold night. It was about 10:30 and the bar was pretty full. We were greeted immediately and seated at a table by window. Randolph’s has a nice, warm feeling, with dark wood walls. We ordered a Negroni and a mojito. Both were good. We also ordered the charcuterie plate as we wanted something light to eat. This is a very large assortment of cheeses and meats. All were very good. At $ 26, the charcuterie seems expensive but it served as a light meal for two, so the price wasn’t outrageous. All in all, Randolph’s was the perfect fit for what we wanted — a nice place to have a drink and snacks late on a Friday evening. The service was good, attentive and prompt.

Great service. Old School New York setting. Had the crab cakes and they were delicious! Nice wines by the glass selection. Wife had flatbread with duck. It was fairly tasty. Will come back.

I was staying at the Warwick for the weekend and as I passed by I saw the grilled watermelon salad on the menu. I asked if it was on the room service menu and a whole group of people went out of their way to find out. Starving I sat down and ordered it. Possibly one of the best salads I have had in a while. The service at the restaurant blew my mind. Well done! Can’t wait to return my next trip!

This is an attractive, comfortable and inviting place. Seating is plentiful and makes it easy to sit back, relax and have a drink from the full bar. It’s a convivial atmosphere and tends to get loud after work. The food is really terrific, and they offer an expanded bar menu. They offer a great Angus/bacon/cheese burger and the menu now includes an outstanding chicken and sautéed onion/apple sandwich on Rosemary focaccia. The Warwick salad is my favorite: crispy romaine lettuce, chicken breast pieces, cranberries, apples and lots of delightful goodies. The French onion soup is FILLED with onion and cheese on a tasty piece of bread. The Vichyssoise is excellent, as is the tomato soup. The folks who work here are the best. They are knowledgeable about the food and drinks and are truly nice people. Look for Laura, Diana and Chris to be sure you have a good meal and a pleasant time. Ps…I don’t like their pickles… not dill spears… more kosher dill and some kind of spice.

If you want to feel like you are invisible, by all means stop in at Randolph’s. The Warwick Hotel has been around for a very long time and is practically a New York institution, so we decided to have drinks and appetizers at the nicely appointed lounge«Randolph’s» in the hotel. As soon as we walked in, with nobody to greet us, we stood among the tables wondering where to sit. A worker who may have been the bar manager came over and said, «Yeah, you can sit there, or wherever». Once we picked a table and sat, we waited for someone to take our order. A waiter walked past us several times with no acknowledgement and proceeded to strike up a long winded conversation with the couple next to us. He then took their drink order and without even giving us a glance, walked away. After several more minutes, we decided to leave. Upon exiting, there was a male and female employee, in formal uniform, on either side of the doorway. As we were leaving, I told the female that they had the worst service ever, and she did nothing more than stare at her male counterpart, with not a word to us. With so many hotel and restaurant choices in New York City, I hope this one will step up it’s game. The one star is strictly for the hotel’s ambience and nothing more.

Forth time visiting the city and staying at the Warwick. We always hang out in the attached bar/restaurant(Randolph’s). This will be our last. To say the service was poor would be to say there was some degree of service. Our first visit this trip was the night of our arrival. Slow to serve and had to chase down a server for another round. Second visit this trip had us seated only to not have anyone take our order. We all got up and left. The solution… A quick trip to a local liquor store and drinks in our suite. I think our Warwick/Randolph’s tradition has come to an end. Next time, we’ll try the Peninsula Hotel and their many restaurants and lounges.

I work in the restaurant industry so I’m usually pretty understanding about things… but my experience here was pretty horrendous and I don’t quite know why. The 2 stars are for food and ambiance; the service made me take off the other 3. I came here with my mother when I got out of work at about 5pm, and was treating her to dinner and drinks before we went down 5th ave for the holiday windows. So I was looking forward to a nice dinner, and this place looked great. But apparently this was a terrible time to go because it was the shift change between lunch and dinner staff. We had about 7 different servers and managers come to our table in the time we were there, and none of them got anything right. First when we ordered the food, my mother asked if there was any cheese on the salad as she’s highly allergic.(To our second waiter). She wanted there to be no cheese on the salad. For some reason, the waiter had to call over another waiter to see if this was possible. Both waiters assured us that it would be fine and there would be no cheese on the salad. We get the food, and there was a huge pile of cheese on top of the salad. So we had to call someone over to have them bring out another with no cheese. The fact that we had told our waiter that she’s highly allergic, and then he brought over a second waiter to confirm this was possible/ok; the fact that it still came out with cheese was pretty bad. When the error came out, those first 2 waiters didn’t come to our table again. A woman showed up, and asked if my mother wanted another drink to make up for the error. At this point, I had to eat my food by itself while it was still hot while we waited for them to bring out another dish for my mom with no cheese… so, when the woman comes back with the drink; it’s the wrong cocktail. It then took a really long time for her to come back with the correct cocktail. After that, they finally brought out the second dish without cheese. And then we sat there… and no one came to our table to check up on us, ask if we wanted another drink, or anything. After some time, a new person came to clear the table and didn’t ask if we wanted another drink, dessert, or the check. We sat there for half an hour after they cleared our plates and no one came to ask if we wanted the check/dessert/or anything else. My mom then had to get up and go near the computer to grab someone and ask for our check. Then when we got our check, we were charged for ALL the drinks. Including the drinks that the woman asked my mom if she wanted to make up for the food error… mind you, she offered the drink as an apology for the mistake, brought out the wrong drink, then brought the correct one. We were charged for her mistake drink, and then the correct drink that was supposed to make up for the dish with cheese. Then we sat there for another 15 – 20 minutes waiting for our check to be taken. It seemed like after they made the error with the food, no one wanted to come to the table anymore; despite the fact that the original waiter was still working. We got some of my food wrapped up and they wouldn’t even give us a bag… Finally my mom had to go talk to the manager to get the check taken and to talk about the fact they charged us for 2 drinks they shouldn’t have… and to share the experience. The manager was very nice, and did take off those drinks we weren’t supposed to be charged for(the mistake drink and the«let me make it up to you drink»), and she ended up taking off my mother’s dish which was more than expected. And she got us a bag for our to-go food. But regardless, the whole experience was actually one of the worst I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Ever. Which is a shame because it had great food and great ambiance, but for some reason the staff wanted nothing to do with us. We weren’t rude or anything, and were very nice. Asking no cheese is hardly a complicated modification… especially when it’s made obvious there is a food allergy. And the way we were treated by the staff afterwards, and the continuing mistakes; as someone in the industry there is no excuse for. SO I DON’T KNOW. Beware of the shift change/switch to lunch/dinner? The food was good though, maybe we just caught the staff on a bad day…

Drinks are fine, really cosy ambiance, but do not come here for food. Overpriced and terrible quality. We were staying at the hotel so dined here twice out of convenience. The second chance we gave it was even worse than the first — stale bread on my $ 22 sandwich. However, if you’re staying at the hotel then it’s a great spot for a cosy drink when it’s cold outside.

This review is for the drinks & atmosphere not the food since we never ate a meal there. One of the(many) reasons we stay at the Warwick is this bar/lounge. After a busy day with dinner and theater we like ending up at Randolph’s. Yes it is pricey, but it has such a welcoming, cozy atmosphere, attentive service and great drinks — a nice way for 4 of us to review the next day’s activities. Wish I could remember our waiter’s name(Chris?) because he remembered us from previous visits and alway took care of us, making us feel special indeed.

Came here once because a friend of mine wanted to get a quick drink. 1) The place is very expensive. We spent nearly 100 bucks each. 2) The ambiance is nice. You feel like a you have made it in NYC. But we were NJ folks. 3) However, I will not recommend anyone visiting this place, unless you can afford the expense. It may be a good experience to try it once. As the place is very posh. Besides that, try somewhere else.

A Great Hotel Bar just a short walk from Central Park and perfectly located at the Warwick Hotel in mid Town. This became our go to place while staying in Manhattan for Thanksgiving. We had the kids and the outlaws in tow, but even though its a bar the kids were not made to feel unwelcome. They had a decent but limited range of Scotch(my drink) but a good selection of wines. We didn’t eat, but we did visit 3 or 4 times to get out of the cold and people watch the busy streets of Manhattan. The waiter service was good, After the first visit Benjamin remembered what we were all drinking even though we had only been once before, even down to the brand of Pino Grigio my wife was drinking. This is a quaint bar, it does have a couple of TV showing ball games but its not a sports bar. The dark furniture and the stools and sofas make it really cosy. Loved it! Well worth stopping in for a quick one in between stores and central park!
