Just BRINGYOUROWNBAT! There are no bats for adults maybe only 2 at best and if they’re taken you are screwed. The cages also have a nice little outdoor sitdown spot for food and drinks but the service is bad it takes a long time to really get a beer. but it never stops me from returning lol I do also enjoy listening to the live bands play while you’re eating. Just wish the service would improve but the atmosphere is really nice overall.

Nice place to come and unwind, all while listening to live music. The food if pretty good here too. I had the 10oz BBQ cheeseburger and it was absolutely amazing. The waiter’s made a few mistakes on our bill but nothing that would stop me from returning.

I will DEFINITELY be coming back here in the Spring and Summer! I came here recently with a few friends and despite the cool temperatures outdoors, it was quite the fun experience. As one friend put it, it’s a great way to take out some major work frustrations! You can purchase your coins to operate the pitching machines inside the golf center. For $ 3.50, you get to take your hacks at 30 pitches, which is an awesome deal! I would doubt many people could take more than 60 – 90 swings without being extremely tired. I’m not sure if it’s a regular occurrence, but the pitching machine malfunctioned a few times where the pitches were not being thrown and we had to call someone over to fix it. It was apparent that they didn’t have many employees there because it was the offseason. A friend told me that during the nicer weather seasons, they tend to have more workers there making sure the machines are maintained and working at the rate they are supposed to be. After about 20 swings, I remembered how taxing it could be swinging at softballs/baseballs! Eventually, my friends and I rotated every 10 pitches on the same 30 pitch count due to the fatigue one will get! Just make sure to stretch beforehand too or you can easily pull a muscle as well if you plan on hitting home runs! Unfortunately, the beergarden and snack stands were closed since it’s the offseason, but come the peak season I can imagine how this little enclave can get crowded in a hurry. In addition, since the cages are outdoors, the place is only open if the weather cooperates, in terms of rain or snow. Note: The golf driving range is just to the left of the cages, so it’s a great way to split your stay and do something different if you get tired out from the batting cages.

Softball cages are $ 3.50 for 30 balls – not bad. The cages are outdoor, so dress accordingly if it’s cool outside. They shut down when it rains. The softball machines are set for one type of pitch – no arc; the pitch arc is between 3 and 5 feet. They offer slow, medium and fast speeds for softball. The machines themselves are well used, so sometimes a ball doesn’t come out, and then a few pitches later you’ll get two pitched at once. The balls here are pretty hard, so make sure you don’t use your«game bat». You get to Randall’s Island on the M35 bus from 125/Lex. Then get off at the first stop on the island and follow the signs for the golf center to get to the cages.
