After a sweaty summer day, my husband and I warily walked by the corner on 14^th Ave to see the Ralph’s sign: a beacon of heavenly light at the end of the tunnel. Their Italian Ice is amazing; compared to store-bought brands, it is drier and more flavorful. So many delicious flavors and options. Hubs got a smoothie, which is more like a slush (they put a few scoops of Italian ice in a blender with water). For two dehydrated zombies on that sweltering Sunday afternoon, the smoothie gave us a breath of life and renewed our spirits. You think I’m exaggerating — but try walking 13 miles around NYC in 95 degree weather and NOT finding nirvana in a cup of Ralph’s ice. Do it.

Impulsive simply decided to stop by for Italian ice after my gym workout. This is a relatively new store, looks like they’re still setting up inside but the two young cashiers were super helpful, very sweet and allowed me and my wife to taste as many flavors until we finally decided on Cherry! Not a huge fan of Italian ice in general but the customer service here is five stars! Will stop by and support this good local business sometime this summer.

This review is a little late but always worthy… Towards the end of the summer season Ralphs starts to wind down. Ralphs will stay open until they run out of product to sell. Some of the popular flavors will sell out fast. I was fortunate that the flavors i was purchasing they had in stock.
What made me very happy was whatever size you purchased you get the second one free (same size of course). What a great deal! I had to buy for flavors which eventually is getting shipped out to my brother and his fiancé in Arizona.
They are excited and so was i on the price! Cant wait for ralphs to reopen in the spring!
The parking lot sometimes can be a little hectoc so beware!

The kids working here are awesome. Very friendly. They’re willing and patient to have you try as many flavors as you can and always make great recommendations on what to try if you’re undecided. This is my go to place to quell my sweet tooth every time I do laundry. Too bad they’re not open all year round, (they close for the Winter) but it gives me something to look forward to every Spring. My favorites are the Nutella, Pistachio, and Coconut ices. They’ve added flavors like Red Velvet & Strawberry Cheesecake which are probably going to be my favorites also. If you’re in the neighborhood I say check these guys out! You won’t be disappointed.
