Wonderful service from Peggy! Told her I needed a sturdy but petite parasol that could double as an umbrella. She also showed me how to properly fold and maintain umbrellas. Very patient and friendly guidance as you select from the array of colors and handle choices (and countries of origin!). So cool.
First visit, so settled on a timeless powder pink version of this:
Fabric is polyester-​cotton 80−20% blend. Stitching is 100% rayon.
On the way back to Queens, a FLASH FLOOD WARNING hit! After getting off at the Main St. stop, my brand new PARASOL shielded me with ease against the howling rain and wind.
And this morning’s bright commute felt just a bit less muggy, thanks to the parasol’s coated underside.
Can’t wait to return for more sun/​rain gear!
