I’ve been going to Denise since I think september, and I love her!!! I have no qualms rearranging my schedule or traveling from Queens to Harlem on a saturday morning. Denise’s work is exceptional!

I had a nice experience getting my nails done in can see why every one gives good reviews when it comes to the work that is produced. But when I tried to book another appointment she wasn’t available. I. gave up trying after seeing no availability for this month and I was in November 2016.

Denise is the best nail tech in NYC! She’s kind, outgoing and very thorough. She is a home based technician which can be off putting to some, which I can understand. You never know what to expect when going into a strangers home and honestly I had some reservations about it, but once I sat in her chair those reservations went out the window. We talked about our kids and shared laughs over a few episodes of Friends. She is professional and takes her time to make sure that you leave her chair with nothing less than perfection. Can’t wait for my next appointment!

I’ve been looking for a good nail tech in NY for a while. I was tired of going to these little nail spots knowing that they were damaging my nails. I took a long break with acrylic nails. My search was finally over when I met Denise. She is knowledgable and very professional at what she does. I like that she is home based because you feel more of a connection with her. She has every color under the sun! She can do any type of design. I also like that she takes her time and doesn’t try to rush. I’m so glad I found her :)

I have been getting my nails done for over a decade, and it is only now that I have finally found someone who treats my nails the way they should be treated. Let me tell you something stop going to those cheap nail salons that offer bargain nails, you often don’t know what you’re getting and that’s the worst part. Why risk your health for a dangerous bargain? Pamper yourself like the Queen you are, or King I don’t judge. Anyways.
Denise is so professional and executes her work with such a sense of purpose and precision the likes of which I have never seen before. Normally I’m afraid when people handle my nails in fear of the little nicks and cuts, that hasn’t happened with her. Depending on how elaborate your nails are going to be you may be waiting in the chair for a bit, but quality takes time! You can sit there and comfort knowing that she cleans and treats each of her tools very well, and that sanitation is never an issue! You might be wondering why you would pay this price for nails, but nice nails aren’t cheap and cheap nails aren’t nice. When I when I got a chance to watch Grey’s Anatomy which really helped the time to fly.
Fast forward four weeks and I have put these nails through the ringer. I’m talking opening several wine and champagne bottles and overall wear and tear. These nails haven’t even lifted or cracked! Everywhere I go people are complimenting me and want to know where I got them done. I’m telling you just like I told them, go to Denise you will not be disappointed by the quality! She’s my nail tech for life. High quality shows because the slots that she has open for appointment quickly fill up and that speaks for itself.

She’s a good nail tech, uses quality products and does nice shaping (although I had some thickness issues). But she’s REALLY SLOW, like she’s still learning how to do this — which is fine, just don’t charge people professional prices and have strict policies. And she’s unprofessional with a bit of an attitude (see her Instagram page for great examples of this). She could be a little more humble considering it’s in her living room with family and children around, doesn’t even offer a glass of water and doesn’t have a decent bathroom for her customers to use or wash their hands in. If you want me to put up with hours in an uncomfortable chair then please don’t act like YOU are doing ME a favor and not the other way around. Too bad because she is good — but nobody is good enough to put up with all of this.

1. An unhappy customer giving honest feedback does not equal a «hater.» I have no reason to «hate» on you or to see you fail. Is this high school?
2. Thank you for proving my point about your professionalism with all the trash talking. BEWARE honest Unilocalers, if you DARE give critical feedback, your review will get screenshot and you will get called all kinds of stuff — even if what you said isn’t that bad.
3. I don’t care what anyone says, NO IT’S NOT OK TO TAKE OVER 3 HOURS to do a full set!!! TIME IS MONEY!!!
4. I didn’t «speak up» because I didn’t want to wait for you to fix my heavy, thick nails, I just wanted to go home! Can you blame me?
6. I knew you were «home-​based,» but most people who run a business from home have an APPROPRIATE area and facilities for their clients. If they don’t, the prices reflect that. Not here.
7. I did bring my own water, but I also didn’t know I would be spending half my day there so I only had a small bottle :(
8. You did service me, I just didn’t give you my real name because I didn’t know you. Judging from the crazy reaction to a below average review I’m glad I didn’t.
9. This is a service-​based business and I expect service, I’m not going to apologize for that. ESPECIALLY when I’m paying above average prices, you’re making a crazy profit and using my hands and nails for business promotion.

I have been doing to Denise for just a few months now and each visit has left me extremely pleased with the end results. She is a home-​based tech and she uses an online scheduling system for appointments. There is no double-​booking and her scheduling system is very convenient. You book all your services you’d like, pick your date n time, and pay your deposit. Bam. Easy.
Her work is impeccable, I have gotten special designs that exceeded my expectations and her shaping is always perfect. I love that she uses all high quality products from acrylic to the polish. If you’re expecting to pay $ 15 for a fullset done with MMA then this isn’t for you, but if you value the health of your nails Denise is definitely it! My nails are long and I have not had a single fill line or mark since she started doing my nails. I do lab work, but with minimal care my nails do not lift at all and I get fills every 3 – 4 weeks. I suggest you book your appointment early since spots fill up quick!

This is my second time going to queen of nails and I love it. She makes my nails look fabulous and doesn’t rush. I recommend her 100%

Denis is the best thing to ever happen to New York! She takes time to make she your nails are absolutely perfect. Denise is the only person that I can trust to do my nails. There is absolutely no lifting of your nails. Her dedication to her work is beyond amazing. Denise provides an excellent experience. Denise is THE New York nail tech! She takes pride in her work, and I have never had such perfect acrylics in my life. After two weeks they still look totally amazing, and after my first fill they are completely perfect. Denise is affordable, professional, thorough, and extremely talented. I can’t recommend her enough! She really is the QUEEN of New York!

I absolutely loved the service. Her work station was cleaner than any salon Ive ever been in. Although she works from home, I never felt uncomfortable or out of place. Her family greeted me and let her work. She paid a lot of attention to detail and did great work. This was my first acrylic set in years and Im pleased with it. I will definitely be booking my fill in with her.

Perfect, perfect, perfect! Honestly the best full set I’ve gotten period. She accommodated me on her day off which I genuinely appreciated. From start to finish I was impressed. I’m very picky about my nails and how nail techs lay acrylic. I usually watch them like a hawk the entire process but I didn’t look down once because from her work I knew I was in good hands. Quality takes time and every second Denise spent on my nails reflected in the outcome. My cuticles looked great, polish was perfect (she got every surface of my nails) and shaped them just how I requested. I honestly don’t have much to say besides perfect. MOST IMPORTANTLY my nails are still on and secure after 3 weeks! My nails usually break, lift or fall off after a week or so, that’s how you know she uses great quality supply. Thanks so much! I’m booking my next appointment this week !!

Buy the cuticle oil! It smells amazing and it does its job! My cuticles are super hydrated during this cold weather and it also keeps my nails shiny. I use it everyday. All my friends including my boss makes me use it on them too, trust me, buy it ;) QueenofNYnails knows what she’s doing.

If you’re an acrylic nail girl, you know how hard it is to find the perfect nail tech. Someone who masters the technic, the shaping and the designs without ruining your natural nails. After struggling with acrylic nails that would lift after a week, I researched a new nail tech and found Denise on Instagram. She had pictures of amazing designs and shapes. The booking process is very easy: a few texts and online booking and I was scheduled for a full set. I recommend you go to Denise with bare nails to really start with strong foundations.
Denise did an amazing job at getting my nails done exactly how I wanted them. I then left and had to wait for 3 weeks for my refill but my nails still looked as good as new and — miracle! — no lifting at all! Filling was as easy — Denise even adjusted the shape from pointy to round without a problem.
Denise only use top quality products and it really shows in how good your nails look like and hold to the everyday life (yup, I still wash my dishes without gloves ;). So happy I found my new official nail lady! Book your appointment, you will not regret it. But hurry! Her calendar fills up SUPER quickly!

Let me preface this review by saying I swore my ex gave me bad ju ju because I only had horrible nail salon experiences after breaking up with him. Denise is the exception to all of this.
I wanted acrylic nails for my birthday but had no idea where to go. I had acrylics just one time in my whole life and didn’t want to go to any random place. Perused the nail art hashtag on Instagram and stumbled upon her excellent work, checked her website and saw her prices which I was taken aback by. I’m accustomed to paying $ 20 for a manicure and pedicure so when I saw that her deposit fee was about the exact amount I nearly backed out. I decided to go through with making the appointment as a splurge and gift for myself. The day of my appointment I arrived early but was seen promptly. Now to the good part.
Denise is a perfectionist, and I love that she takes pride in her work and artistry. I ended up getting ombré coffin nails; Denise answered every question I had and didn’t make me feel like I was talking too much. She is very knowledgeable about her craft and super polite. She’s gained a new client and will be coming to her again!

Today was my first time going to Denise and I must say I am in love. She was very nice and professional and made sure I was happy with the final outcome…

Let me just say this is my 1^st review and it’s well worth it! Denise is amazing! My whole experience was great from start to finish. She made sure everything was to my liking. I’ve received many, many compliments so far. I have definitely found a great place to relax and be taken care of. Just know Denise does that!

Amazing! I got my nails done exactly a week ago, and a stone has yet to fall off. I bartend, so the fact that my nails still look on point is a huge deal for me. I’m extremely picky with who does my nails and very specific in how I like things, Denise was extremely patient, her technic was amazing, and most importantly she use GOOD PRODUCTS. Can’t wait to go back next week!!! She GREAT!

I got my nails done and I was super happy! It’s hard to find someone who will listen and do what it takes to truly make you a happy customer.
