Paris Hilton and her mom have shopped here, therefore Purl looses some credibility with me. Ew, imagine running into Paris and her all-​year fake tan while trying to knit a cardigan!
Anyway, the employees are super sweet and helpful but the prices are so high here! I prefer Downtown Yarns where they are a bit less Upper East Side and more, well downtown.

While they carry many of my favorite yarns, I was not particularly impressed by Purl SoHo. The shop was very tiny and a large table takes up most of the browsing room. It was very cute, but I feel as though they might be surviving off of tourists who come because of Joelle Hoverson’s book. It’s just too expensive to justify buying enough yarn here to make an entire project.
