Im visiting from miami and a friend told me to have dinner at this restaurant because they had amazing food. — Too bad he was wrong. the food was horrible and the service even worst, especially from the manager Alan who was super rude.

Came here for a dinner during the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting. The entire event was organized by Your VIP Pass, and was seamless. As for the restaurant and staff, everyone was incredibly nice and helpful from coatcheck to security and hospitality personnel. The restaurant is really lovely with wonderful views of Rockefeller Plaza. Definitely a romantic and beautiful venue in the way it was decorated. We didn’t have any trouble finding it, contrary to some of the reviews here. It’s literally right outside of the elevator with the restaurant’s name prominently displayed. I also saw that they did have a full service bar during the event, don’t know if this is all the time. There were so many passed hor d’oeuvres and all of them were delicious. We were able to try the tuna tartare, duck sliders, filet mignon crostinis, chicken skewers, potstickers and vegan spring rolls. The food was plentiful and attendants came around often to offer us food. They were incredibly pleasant and hospitable! We also had a great experience with the bartenders. Buffet dinner was also very good as well as the desserts. We were a little full from the passed hor d’oeuvres, but did get to sample the steak and some of the veggies they were offering. From start to finish, it was a very elegant and wonderful evening. If I ever had an event I wanted to host, I would definitely consider this restaurant!

Came here for a work event and want at all impressed with the quality of the food. They served food buffet style so my expectations weren’t night o begin with but there is no excuse for serving pasta sauce out of the jar. The salmon was dry. They served ice cream do dessert that tastes nothing like ice cream. It tasted like ice flavored with Splenda. The only nice thing I’ll say is that from a couple of the Windows you can get a very clear view of the Christmas tree.

Pulse Restaurant and Bar is located on the second floor next to equinox fitness center. The are as the say the are a restaurant but not really a bar. They do serve alcoholic beverages but not a full service bar. Food here at this restaurant is adequate. Everything about this restaurant is adequate. Adequate seating, decore food and service. The only thing this restaurant has is a nice view of Rockefeler Center other than that Pulse Restaurant and Bar is just adequate. We made the mistake of going with Pulse Restaurant and Bar for catering. The manager of this facility; Allan on the surface seems like a nice guy and will tell you things you want to here in order to get your business. Let me explain! We used Pulse for their catering service because of their proximity to our venue. Allan promised us a lot of things and woefully failed to deliver on his promises. Allan promised us a onsite sushi chef, raw seafood and a plethora of appetizers and finger foods that we sampled and were pretty decent for the price he offered for 100 people. Long story short food were barely adequate. The appetizers he sampled us were not the appetizers he promised what was worse it was not ver appetizing. Our guest did not even know we had appetizers. The dishes he served for main was not the dishes we tasted and he promised us a list of beer and did not deliver and we did not get any champagne or white wine like he promised. After they got their money they failed to deliver on their promises. Pulse restaurant is the worse catering experience I have ever encountered. They are dishonest and would not recommend you do any business with them. Stay away from this business its horrible and their business practices are not ethical.

Delicious affordable food with comfortable seating, even tables near the window for a nice view. I would just check your food before leaving, they are likely to forget to add things to your order, etc.

A real find. Hidden away in the Rock Equinox is a terrific low-key restaurant with healthy food at good prices and a drop-dead gorgeous view of the ice skating rink. I chose today for a business lunch and will definitely return. My client was also very happy — he could actually look outside the window to see his car when it arrived. Amazing to find a restaurant in this location where you can talk and work and eat well. The staff was very kind. Not swanky, just very good. Pulse is a place to make you fall in love with New York all over again.

The restaurant is conveniently located in Rockefeller Center on the 3rd floor of Equinox gym. Great smoothies, made to order salads and great sandwiches in the café. If you looking for a little something more upscale, treat yourself to lunch or dinner in the dining area in the back room. They serve the freshest fish! Everything made to order. Try the seared tuna or the tartar. You will not be sorry. Really great catering service as well. They listen to your needs and special requests. Nothing too big or small to handle and something for every budget… even last minute catering needs are handled with care and attention. Also great for small and large events. Allan is genius when it comes to menu planning and customizing layouts. We have had numerous parties there(including our Christmas one) overlooking the tree in Rockefeller. Always a good time. We leave full and happy!

One of the weirder dining experiences I’ve had in my ten plus years living in NYC. First, good luck finding the«restaurant». I wandered over a small part of Roc Center for a good ten minutes, and couldn’t find it — even after asking three different security guards/tourist guides. Eventually I went into the Equinox to ask them, and that’s where the elevator is that brings you upstairs. Once upstairs, I wandered to the right. Guess what was there? Equinox. Oh, and a hair salon. Literally people working out and walking between different parts of the gym. So I retraced my steps and wandered to the left. However, I still couldn’t find it. All I could find was a little hotel/motel/Holiday Inn-styled cafeteria and juice bar. For some reason, as I call my friend to get directions I continue wandering into the cafeteria, and lo and behold I find the«restaurant» tucked away in the back. Why do I keep using double quotes? Because the«restaurant» was just a small number of tables hidden behind dividers behind the cafeteria. Need to use the bathroom? It’s tucked to the right of the dining area through a few doors. Once inside, it’ll look familiar to what you saw earlier, since it’s shared with Equinox. Feel free to make use of the complimentary mouthwash or hand lotion! To be fair, the staff was very nice, and the food was very acceptable for the neighborhood. Not special or fancy by any means, but simple and good enough. I just couldn’t get over the layout. To call the place a restaurant and bar is a little bit(a lot bit) of a stretch. It was super weird. Had they called it Pulse Cafeteria and Juice Bar I would have given them three stars, since I wouldn’t have felt tricked. I mean, what do I look like, a tourist trying to see the Christmas tree?! (To be honest, I did take a picture of it on my way out. It happens.)

Used PULSE Catering to cater a «Thanksgiving lunch» for the office on the Monday before Thanksgiving. Most catering places told me no, that they weren’t taking catering orders until Wednesday. When I called Allan he was willing to work with the ideas I had and it came out even better than I had envisioned. Great experience and the turkey and stuffing was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. Also to note, Allan’s customer service and willingness to make something that wasn’t even on the catering menu was above and beyond. I will definitely be using their catering services again.

One of my favorite places to eat. Quick, clean, reasonably priced, friendly… Kind of reminds me of a college campus style café with a midtown crowd.

Whoever said they always mess up their orders wasn’t kidding. I ordered a chicken ceasar wrap and a salad with dressing on the side. Salad came with no dressing at all, and the wrap was lettuce, tomato, chicken and cucumber. The wrap wasn’t bad, just not what I wanted. Next time I’ll just order from chopt.

Had a smoothie during a movie presentation. It had oatmeal, chocolate, and a few other things. Was solid. Short expensive beer/wine menu. Bare 2.5. I don’t recommend it over most bars but it is adequate for a little drink/food.

Add another ½ star. At first when we walked in, i was a little embarassed thinking we found the juice bar at equinox. But then found the restaurant tucked in the corner. We were given a nice table by the window to see the NYC Christmas tree. By the photos on their website, I thought we were closer but it was close enough. Here was the problem. There were 2 Christmas parties going on and the people were loud, especially the table with all the ladies. While some looked over and non verbally said to me, sorry that were so loud. The other ladies got so loud that we had to say something to the waiter. Well in the end he offered us free dessert. when we declined, he offered a nightcap drink whick we gladely accepted. As for the food. Delish. I got shrimp cocktail and for some reason it might have been the bes I ever had. You know when shrimp are too large and kinda tasteless and fleshy tough? Well this wasnt. It was a tad smaller shrimp and super tasty. I dont like fish but I liked this. DIDYOUHEARME I DONTLIKEFISH. Guess what else I tried, and tried and tried. Tuna tar tar. WHAT!!! Mom mom would say she doesnt know me any more. I ate Tuna tar tar and loed it. WOW it was, well, non fishy. I think thats the way it was intended. Add to that a steak salad and my meal was complete. I would have given 4 stars if that damn cackling lady wasnt so loud!

They were so slow. The service was terrible. They can not serve a party of 20. Literally the entrees came out over the course of an hour. It was a business lunch so it was unacceptable. The food wasn’t that great either.

We attended a private function on a Sunday afternoon. That is what this review is based on. The room itself was very bright with natural light, great views of Rockerfeller Center, comfortable and spacious for our party of 40. A brunch buffet had good offerings — a grilled chicken, pasta, asparagus, tomatoes, mozz and basil, bagels, muffins, lox, onions, capers and tomatoes, fruit, granola and yogurt and coffee. All were good. The staff was attentive and friendly. It all made for a lovely afternoon!

I like this place for basic food that I can order post workout(it’s tucked away in Equinox Rockefeller Plaza). The guys are nice — they close at 9 but still didn’t turn me away when I ordered a plate of hot food at 9.10.(I didnt know they closed at 9, and they didnt even mention it). But it is a bit creepy that there is never anyone here. Like, ever. It’s good for a salad or a plate of digest-able flank steak and quinoa. That type of thing.

I ordered delivery… I’ve ordered the omelets and smoothies, which were great. I hate it when a restaurant with good food gets lazy… The food is good. But they get my order wrong EVERYTIME.(three times)

We discovered Pulse purely by accident. The restaurant is nestled in an office building. We had a 7pm reservation on a Friday night and were the ONLY people in the restaurant, although there were a few people at the bar. The waiter mentioned that they are trying to build up a dinner crowd. The restaurant apparently packs out at lunch. Aside from feeling mildly creeped out by being the only people in the restaurant, the food was amazing. We had the three-course dinner. Everything tasted fresh and was cooked to perfection!

In addition, $ 6 glasses of wine for Happy Hour(and I thinks $ 2 off other drinkies). That’s a good price for Rock Center.

hm… perhaps i just had a rather bad experience here! it seems possible, since all the other reviews give it 4 – 5 stars! there’s a difference between the café area and the dining area. Seating, perhaps I’d do it. Seems quick, easy and affordable. No complaints. But the dining in… please continue to read: I do not like pulse. I will only go there if someone MAKES me go. I ordered the seared Atlantic cod with potatoes. The thing was so drenched in butter, that was really all i could taste. Yes, yes, yes, butter tastes good, but i also want to taste the fish! My lunch date got the mushroom ravioli appetizer and it was SUCH a HUGE portion, she couldnt finish it! Whereas I finished my fish, potatoes and kept munching on bread. the ambiance was KILLED by shouting children and tourists. *sigh* if you bring children to a restaurant, people, please do not let them shout or run around… PLEASE… please… i beg of you the prices? meh, theyre Rockefeller prices! you cant argue! I aint comin’ hea’ no mo’
