I recently went on a New Years Eve PubCrawl and i had a great time. I went back to the first registration point and went up to the table and asked the girl, «how do i find out about more of these events ?» and she was extremely sweet and helpful. She informed me that if i went to that i would be able to see all of their upcoming events. When i went there, i seen a place to do private pubcrawls, i immediately thought this would be a great way to surprise my friend by doing a surprise PubCrawl for his birthday. After filling out a form, i was contacted back quickly by a helpful representative that helped me to customize and build my own crawl. This was genius because i could start at my friends favorite bar to really make it easier to surprise him. We ended up choosing to add 4 bars and even added a restaurant. Never thought i would even be able to get food specials on a PubCrawl !! To top it off, the restaurant had a cake waiting for my friend, it was awesome and very well planned. This company provided us with an amazing night out, and people don’t give them enough credit for being very reputable and respected in the nightlife planning and partying industry. Thank you I already bought my ticket to the March 5th Hoboken St. Paddy’s Day event. See you there !

NOTWORTH A SINGLEPENNY. DONOTWASTEYOURMONEY! I went on the Halloween pub crawl with some friends and every one of us regretted buying tickets. After spending $ 18 for a wristband, I found that not once throughout the night did anybody ever even look at my wristband. Although there were some drink specials(which every bar ran out of by about 7 pm), anybody in the bars were able to get these deals, whether they had a wristband or not. And, to my surprise, we STILLHADTOPAYCOVERTOGETINTOTHEBARS! There were one or two bars that were supposedly offering free admission, but the lines to get into them were so ridiculously long that we were never actually able to get into a single one of them. Even the shitty dive bars that don’t normally have a cover had such long lines that they were not worth waiting for. So the bottom line is that your $ 18 ticket gets you absolutely nothing. Anybody at the bars can get the drink specials, and those are even done by around 7 pm. Expect to still pay cover at all bars too. DONOTWASTEYOURMONEY.

After reading these other reviews, my night makes a lot more sense now. I did the 2015 St. Paddy’s day pub crawl for a friend who was in town that I had not seen in a couple months. Wish I’d found this before I bought tickets, but everything looked on the up and up. Here’s part of the letter I sent requesting a refund, because I cannot believe I paid to be so taken advantage of. To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this email in regards to the Saint Paddy’s Luck of the Irish PubCrawl Boston that happened this past weekend. I was disappointed in the quality of the pubcrawl, as it was not close to what I paid for. My first frustration was that the participating bars and times were not listed until we showed up for registration. I understand the reasoning behind this, but it was impossible to plan my weekend without knowing what bars were participating, and, more importantly, *when* they were participating, so I could try to hit favorite haunts and get good specials. The pubcrawl was scheduled for Saturday, March 14th from 11am to 2am. That’s a huge window of time, and it’s fairly unreasonable to expect participants to be there the whole time. We arrived for registration around 4.15pm. I purchased the 3-day all access pass. I was upset that I couldn’t figure out where to register for that admission. The other tickets said where to register, but there were no instructions for the all access pass. When I tried calling the support phone number, it just kept ringing and ringing until it eventually disconnected, so I couldn’t get in touch with event support. I got through to the sales team, who tried to transfer me to the support team, but I was on hold for a couple minutes by the time I *finally* found a staff member at Faneuil Hall. Unfortunately, he didn’t know where I was supposed to register, and told me to just find the Hard Rock, since«that’s where a lot of stuff is happening.» By the time we got registered, we didn’t have time to make it to Howl at the Moon, whose participation in the crawl was ending at 5pm. That was upsetting, since their cover is usually really high, and it was raining, so it wasn’t worth it to try to hustle down to HATM to see if they would let us in past 5pm with the wristband. So we went to the Vault, and dealt with a surly, rude bartender and incredibly watered down $ 3 shots. Again, I understand why the shot specials and drink specials are pre-made. But that shouldn’t mean they be as weak as water. That’s a huge cop-out, and if they didn’t want to participate in the crawl, then they shouldn’t have. But serving watered down«shots» is insulting, and not something I feel is worth paying for. We went to the Hideout next, but even though 10 – 15 people left the bar, they wouldn’t let us in because«Management said to wait.» The bouncer wouldn’t even go ask how long it would be before they started admitting crawlers, «It could be 2 minutes, it could be 2 hours.» Incredibly helpful, right? So we went next door to Durgin’s, where the«Leprechaun Punch» was green-dyed sprite with a splash of peach schnapps. We paid $ 5 and got almost no alcohol. An additional annoyance is that none of the bars were really very festive in terms of partying. Sure, some of them had shamrocks and garlands strung about. But there were no funny hats, or fun DJ giveaways. When I did crawls in Baltimore, there were fun cups, necklaces, bracelets, fake beards, and other cool things. There was absolutely nothing on this crawl. Least, but not last, the biggest advantage of the the wristbands would be that we wouldn’t have to pay cover charges at any of the participating bars. And we didn’t. But neither did the non-crawlers. So we weren’t saving on anything. And we kept a watchful eye. Crawlers and non-crawlers got in for free. Maybe my expectations were a little too high, but I feel like I paid $ 20 for absolutely nothing. The drink specials were barely alcoholic, but I didn’t want to shell out for $ 20 worth of real drinks, since I’d purchased the crawl tickets. I feel like I paid $ 20 to get in to bars that had some green stuff up on the windows, and that’s it. No fun party was happening, no dancing was happening. The one bar with actual dancing that looked like a fun place was Sissy K’s, but the line was out the door and around the block, clearly the place to go. But after 5 disappointing hours, our expectations were so low, that we didn’t think it would be worth the wait. I am requesting a refund for the two tickets I purchased at a total of $ 53.71 as the event feels very falsely advertised and it was very poorly executed.

My girlfriend set up this barcrawl for a large crowd of us, this past weekend for St. Patrick’s Day. I have never done one so, I was psyched about attending. She basically footed the bill for everyone and paid, not only the ticket price for nine people, but also the $ 55 service charge(we were splitting it evenly, so it came to about $ 11/pp). We picked up the wristbands in the West Village at Mach 8. The people there were nice. They gave us our bands and a map that showed all of the participating bars in each neighborhood as well as the specials they offered. We decided to try our luck in West Village first and that’s where our nightmare began. First we went to Wicked Willy’s and their specials were supposed to begin at 11AM. We got there around noon and when we walked in, it was empty, there was a guy cleaning and he told us that we would have to wait until 1PM to get any specials because the bartender was late. The place looked closed down. I don’t even know why the doors were open. Next, we walked over to Red Lion and got there at 12:20PM(believe me, the times are very important). There were a few patrons there but some lady, who didn’t even work there, came to us and told us that they would not honor the pubcrawl specials until after the Rugby game was over and that we would have to return after 2PM in order to get any specials, despite the fact that the establishment was listed on the map as having their special start at noon. She was a patron and the bartender sent her over to tell us that if we wanted to enter at that time, we would all have to pay a $ 20 cover. When we tried to speak to the bartender, he basically just motioned a no and refused to speak to us. The staff were laughing and we basically felt like we were taken for fools. On our way to Blue Haven we called Christina, the representative with and after explaining to her the treatment we had received, she put us on hold while she called the first two places and spoke to their management. After a few moments, she returned but did not understand why they were not honoring the specials. She suggested we try Blue Haven but by then, we had already arrived and were, again, met with employees who were unaware that their business was even participating in the bar crawl for which we paid. Christina was still on the line and we had her speak to the lady at Blue Haven, who again, refused to honor the specials we were to have received and at that point, we got fed up and asked for compensation, to which Christina informed us to write an e-mail to the company to begin the process of receiving a refund. We decided to go elsewhere and try a different neighborhood so that the day would not be a total loss. We intended upon remaining in one neighborhood and taking advantage of the specials at all the business within walking distance but now, we were forced to take two cabs(there were nine of us) to a completely different neighborhood, hoping we would not be met with the same issues. We headed to Chelsea and checked out Café 31. The vibe here was a complete 180. The staff was extremely welcoming and were aware of and honored all of the specials that were listed on the map that we were given by the Pubcrawl company. The bartenders were great and we had a blast there. Valentina welcomed us at the bar and kept the drinks flowing. A few pubcrawl groups showed up and no one had any problems. We ended up having to take two more cabs, uptown to Midtown West and headed to 123 Burger Shot. We sat at a reserved table but they also were not aware of the pubcrawl specials. We had to show them our map and the manager had to be called but in the end, they wound up honoring what was listed. We walked around the corner to Posh and again, were met with a bar that was unaware of any pubcrawl specials taking place that day. They only thing they could offer was what was available to anyone who was a patron; $ 3 beers and $ 4 well drinks. At this point, we were all thinking that we wasted money if we could have gotten access to the specials without having to buy tickets. The next spot we hit up was Bamboo 52 and we really only went there for the green beer. We took another two taxis to the Midtown East and tried BarKogi, another business from the map. Yet again, we were told they had no specials and were only participating on Tuesday, the actual St. Patrick’s date. By this time, we were through. Way past over it. We hopped in to the Pig n Whistle and ended our night. You’re better off, going to a neighborhood with a lot of bars in the vicinity, within walking distance and use trial and error to find the ones that don’t charge a cover. They will most likely have specials anyway. You would think that buy purchasing a wristband, you’re entitled to some sort of exclusive deal but, in fact, it ends up just being shoddy event planning on the part of and you’re out money and what should have been a fun experience.

Yep it was complete scam and rip off. At the last minute, I thought it would be fun to do a pub crawl here in Chicago for Halloween. When we go to the bar to sign up, the person representing didn’t even know the URL to sign up online. That should have been a red flag but i get that they probably just contracted a local person to collect funds… when I really knew this was a scam was when we went to each bar on the list that most didn’t know they were a part of a pub crawl but they were nice enough to honor the specials offered on the flier… funny thing, these specials just happened to be the same exact specials the bars were offering to their regular patrons… So in the end, we paid this company to give us a glorified list of bars offering specials. We could have done this on our own.

****SCAM**** such a scam and the worst pubcrawl ever! I don’t know why I didn’t do more research. Went to the St. Party’s crawl in Boston, no bars had drink specials, or even had a clue they were on the crawl, the lines were insane, by 430 we were waiting in line for over an hour, basically the little green bracelet did nothing for us, I don’t understand how this website is allowed to be a business. I’ve done other crawls in Boston with hub crawl, they provided private areas for crawlers at some bars, drink specials and food.

My friends and I went to the Halloween pub crawl. They were set up at a bar in the Village, where we registered and obtained wristbands that would enable us to receive discounts at participating bars. As we registered, the Pubcrawl representative notified us that the bar we were currently in– the bar where they were set up– was not honoring the discount. We went down the block to the Fat Black Pussycat, which was also on the list. They advised us that there was a $ 20 cover, and that they were not honoring the discount because«the person who signed us up didn’t realize it was on Halloween. It makes no sense for us to do this on Halloween– we’re already packed with people paying full price.» At least FBP admitted that they had an agreement with Pubcrawl. They just refused to honor that agreement. That’s comparable to a consumer who purchases a groupon and the merchant refuses to honor the groupon. Groupon will issue a refund in this case, but pubcrawl does nothing. We did not find a single location on the pubcrawl list that honored the discount. I wrote pubcrawl and got no response. Either this company is a scam or they have horrible general counsel. If I had time to waste, I would start a class action suit.

I wish I could leave less than one star. We tried this pub crawl for Halloween in Boston. This is a total scam, we were able to get into the first bar where we picked up our wristbands, this bar sucked by the way. This is the first time we saw the list of participating bars, I had e-mailed prior and asked but got no response. We then decided to try out another bar(actually the only decent one on the list) and the bouncer told us we could get in if we paid the cover and that it was a pubcrawl some dude made in his basement and we had been ripped off. I mean c’mon they had Bertucci’s on the list, this is a pizza chain! I could go in there without a bracelet and sit at the bar no problem because no one goes there on a Saturday. Pretty much just don’t spend your money here. Total scam.

I’m writing to review the Halloween Pub Crawl in Boston. The company regularly hosts holiday pub crawls, and my friends and I thought it would be fun to try the Halloween crawl this weekend. I contacted the company through the website to find out more information on the bars on the list, and received a nice email from Dmitry with a discount code for purchasing tickets! We thought we were getting a deal when we signed up. My friends and I showed up at the check in bar at about 8:00. The bar where we were supposed to check in was closed, so we were directed to another bar across the street. After waiting in line there, we got in, and walked to the back to check in with the pub crawl staff. The girls checking confirmation tickets were unprofessional and looked as though we were offending them when they had to put down their phones to talk with us. We got our bracelets and headed to the bar. The pub crawl is advertised as spanning from 3 pm to 12:30 am, and the email I received listed 16 bars as participating. What they don’t tell you at the time of purchasing the tickets, however, is that many of the bars only offer«free» admittance from 3 – 7 pm. In other words, regardless of whether you’re on the pub crawl or not, you have to pay a cover charge to get into the bars if you show up after 7 pm. Many of the advertised bars were NOT open the night of the crawl, and my wristband that proved I was a participant on the pub crawl did absolutely nothing. Every bar we tried to enter after leaving the first bar told us the pub crawl was over, and that we would have to pay to enter. The first bar we entered didn’t have a cover(as we got there at only 8 pm), and didn’t offer any drink specials for participants. Bottom line? We payed money to get into a bar that was free, and then didn’t get any other benefits of being a part of the organized crawl. I would not recommend using this company in the future. If you want to go on a bar crawl in Boston, find bars that you’re interested in going to, and set up a map yourself– you’ll have a better time, and save yourself the unnecessary fee that charges!

This is a huge scam! I went to the St Patty’s crawl in New York last year and it was a huge waste of time and money. Most of the bars they advertised didn’t even know they were a part of this crawl and therefore had no drink discounts. Even Their«private areas» didn’t fulfill the prices they said they were going to. Essentially we paid a good amount of money to get ripped off! When we tried to get a refund, we were given the runaround before finally giving up. Do everything you can to avoid this group!

AVOIDAVOIDAVOID purchasing any tickets from this company!!! Wow. not sure why I did not look on here to see reviews or I would of walked the other way in buying tickets! As confirmed by other patrons. this company does a bait and switch. They list a ton of bars on their pub crawls and than when you go pick up your tickets you soon realize that one third of the bars are actually participating. I ended up calling some of the bars on their list who confirmed that not only where they not participating but they have never had this company sell tickets for them! I tried calling customer service as well as sales and management to get nothing but the run around. so I just ended up calling my credit card company and reversing the charges.

A word of caution about bar crawls associated with … My friends and I bought 4 tickets for a NYE pubcrawl starting at The Dugout in Chicago for $ 150. When we got there, all of the bars were either«out of business» or «closed to bar crawl participants.» Since The Dugout is basically the size of a hallway, we left and had nowhere to go. Needless to say, we were very upset with the pub crawl and feel that has defrauded us.

Don’t do business with this company! They charge a huge service fee that is about 12 times the ticket price. They cancelled the event the day prior and refused to refund any portion of the tickets, and the service fee isn’t refundable regardless per the terms of the purchase agreement. Don’t give them your money!!!

Went to an Atlanta pubcrawl with a large group of friends put on by — noticed it was a new york business but decided to give it a try anyways. It took some work but I finally got all the details on the pub crawl — as it turns out, there’s no group that travels from venue to venue, it’s just a get in free ticket to all the venues on the list. Clearly, the company doesn’t understand Atlanta’s layout, since all the venues were pretty spread out. However, once we got to the first bar and got our arm bands everything seemed legit — but no, half the places wouldn’t let us in and claimed error on the pubcrawl. Had to really argue our way into one bar(East Andrews Upstairs) that let half the group in, then started making a big deal about it. Overall, bad experience.

Pub Crawls«hosted» an event for Halloween in Annapolis, MD, and it was also a scam. We tried buying the tickets online, but it looked sort of sketchy so we went to the bar that the crawl was starting at to sign up. We signed up, and it seemed legit; however, when we went to the next bars allegedly taking part in the pub crawl, we saw that 8 of the 10 had no idea they were supposed to be involved with the pub crawl. Luckily, my friends and I were able to track down the people at the registration table, and we were able to get our money back. I had to threaten to call the police for blatantly scamming people, and the man started to get scared so he ended up giving me our money back. Please don’t get jipped by this company since they have events all over the country. They’re a scam!

My St. Patrick’s Day plans were a total BUST this year because this business sucks so bad. We had it all planned; see the parade in the morning, go pick up our bracelets for the pub crawl we purchased on , and spend the rest of the day bouncing from bar to bar getting drunk. Instead, we were met with long lines, police officers closing down bars, and bars choosing not to honor the specials. We didn’t get a single beer from any of the venues involved with . So, to sum it up, the site is a huge scam. Don’t sign up for it, unless you want to look like an idiot for suggesting it to your friends. They’ll take your money and not provide you the service you deserve.
