Situation: I pass by this place whenever the weather’s nice enough for me to walk along 5th Ave and like to just browse. I’ve only bought from here once(matching necklaces for me and my sis) but was very happy with my purchase because they wrapped it up in tissue paper and put it in an organza drawstring pouch. Scored a bargain on ‘em too since they were having a sale on their jewelry. PROS –Super affordable, and with a careful eye, you can find some really cute stuff here. –The store is brightly lit and incredibly organised considering how stores of their price point tend to be chaotic. It vaguely has an air of a designer boutique. I’ve generally found the staff to be helpful. –Excellent selection of cheap costume jewelry as well as other accessories e.g. bags, clutches, shoes, scarves, hair stuff. Yes everything’s made in China, but at least there’s a bit more variety of styles here than the cookie cutter stuff you find elsewhere. –If you’re a hardcore bargain hunter, check out the sale section in the back! CONS –Don’t expect anything you buy here to last. If you’re like me(pretty clumsy), most of the jewelry might last you only a couple wears. In a nutshell… Need some cheap costume jewelry? Look no further! Also highly recommend if you need a clutch pronto to match your ensemble that you plan to use once or twice.

As a young working professional living in Manhattan, I do not have the luxury of having a large disposable income. Much of my money goes towards living expenses. Simply put, I’m poor. BUT … As a 20-something female, I have the need for retail therapy: I love jewelry. I love accessories. I love shopping. I love it all. Prima Donna is peacemaker between my two conflicting identities. It has very trendy pieces of jewelry and accessories(including hats, purses, shoes, fake eyelashes, and more) at affordable prices. They have a huge selection, and each style comes in a variety of colors as well. It is better quality than stores like Forever 21, but this ain’t no Tiffany’s & Co despite being on 5th Ave. When I first discovered it by chance, I even came here every day of the week prior to going on a tropical vacation stocking up on accessories for my outfits for the beach and nights out on the town. If you’re looking for some stylish pieces to update your jewelry collection for those girl’s nights or just had a rough day and need something to cheer you up but don’t want to break the bank, Prima Donna is just your ticket!

So much fun & cool jewelry! I recommend going in if you don’t want to pay the price for all the chunky trendy necklaces that are coming out. Definitely will be coming back. Also walking distance from Bryant Park.

This store is fun as hell. Tons of cheap jewelry, shoes, scarves, and other accessories. No, nothing here is built to last a lifetime. But if you’re in the neighborhood and want a little pick-me-up this is the place. Lots of on-trend items and some classics, too, if you’re willing to dig. Most of the stuff is similar to what you’d find in the accessories sections of H&M, Forever 21, etc. but with lower(or at least comparable) prices.

I was walking home on 5th ave after an afternoon at the Union square farmer’s market and this store caught my eye! This place has a great selection of inexpensive shoes, jewelry, purses, scarves and a variety of other accessories. The prices were really amazing and the quality actually surprised me! Given that trends change so often and I ruin and/or lose most things I own, this is the perfect store for me! I picked a new wristlet/wallet, scarf, great summer clutch, earrings, and a fantastic statement necklace for under $ 100. You really can’t get a better deal than that. I will definitely be back for some fun summer sandals.

love love this store! such a little gem. cute, trendy, and cheap. i buy going out shoes and sandals that i don’t feel bad scuffing up on the streets of nyc. the only downside is that their return policy sucks, so just make sure youre buying for keeps.

You can get Bamboo platform pumps here for $ 26! That’s a steal, considering online fast fashion shops charge nearly double for the exact same brand. Bamboo are pretty much a wholesaler brand with all of the latest styles. I’d never tried them on/seen them in person, but the quality was much higher than I would’ve expected. They were made better than Jeffrey Campbell’s that’s for sure. Although, I wouldn’t purchase many of the items here(not my style/not into«trendy» fast fashion stuff), the staff is fantastic! The girl who helped me was super sweet and adept. I wish I had taken her name. Excellent customer service makes my Unilocaling day. Take a peak here for your fast fashion needs before you pay a premium.

There is something very sketchy about a store who does not have an email address or a company phone number. They absolutely do not trust the customers who come into their store. Your every move is watched by not one but at least by 2 clerks. As they guard their falling-apart-while-still-on-rack costume jewerly with beads missing, you immediately feel regret that you walked into such a slimy place. Typically a company that doesn’t trust shoppers should not be trusted themselves. To me they proved it by not providing me with a management point of contact when the store manager was extremely rude. By not allowing me to work with them one on one so that I could provide valuable feedback, they have encouraged me to tell the world that this is a store that does not belong in the neighborhood. You can find the same stuff at Target, Claire’s or Kohls. Keep your dignity and take your dollars elsewhere.

I walked by this store on my way to have dinner under the trees at Bryant Park. It’s not a luxury brand store that you’d expect to see on Fifth Ave, but it’s damn fun and guilt free! The front of the store has a wide variety of cheap throw away jewelry, big gaudy over sized rings, and necklaces dripping in silver and gold. but ladies, this place has tons of cute comfortable walking sandals in all the latest styles for $ 20.00. Use them and then throw away after summer! Love it! I’m a Prima Donna!
