This company took my deposit and first months rent for an apartment that they didn’t even represent. It was only after I talked to the Director of Rental at the building management company that I discovered that they did not even know who PGS was. I was displaced for a month because I had no place to move to and I had given all my money to PGS. I was scammed. They have an office address, but it is a rent as you need office. Do not be taken by this company.

If you’ve given money to Prestige Guarantor Solutions and have dealt with a Mr. Jamel GANTT(the correct spelling of his name and upon a Google search you will see he makes a career out of stealing), call the Manhattan Special Prosecutions Hotline at 212−335−8900 and report this man. I’m sure this business is finished by now and Mr. Gantt has learned his lesson.

PGS might not be a scam but it seems like one. I went to meet with one of their representatives at their midtown office and she wanted me to give her the first month’s rent and deposit although they hadnt secured an apartment or lease for me. I thought that was weird because without a lease you dont know how much the rent/deposit is. Money and leases are usually exchanged simultaneously, not one before the other. So I started asking questions and noticed that she did NOT have: a telephone(other than her cell phone); a computer; business cards; or any brochures/written info regarding the company The only things in the office were an empty desk and chairs. The office is actually a daily rental space that anyone can book for the day. I checked with the BBB and didnt find any info on the company. I checked with the NY State Dept of Licensing and couldnt find a listing for any company by the name of «Prestige Guarantor Solutions». I even checked here on Unilocal, and there was nothing. Again, PGS might not be a scam… but it sure seems like one. And the website is full of typos. Suspicious.
