I wish I could give more than five stars because if I could I would!
Let me tell you; my unwanted facial hair has been a serious problem for me for YEARS. It’s cause huge issues with my self confidence and I feel like I have been through the ringer between waxing, laser hair removal, etc. I have done electrolysis before years ago but found the whole process very unpleasant and I didnt see the results I was promised. I went through a whole year of doing monthly laser removal and had NO RESULTS!
Everything changed once I found Igor! I could not say enough about how much I love his service. He is efficient, gentle, clean, lovely, and brilliant at what he does. I have never seen results like I have than now. After one treatment I already felt so much more confident and actually felt like I was finally in the direction of taking care of my unwanted facial hair!
The facility is spotless and easy to find– prices are extremely reasonable for the wonderful service you’re getting and you know you are receiving the best of the best service!
I’m forever grateful I found this hidden gem and will never see anyone else!

Igor is amazing! He is professional, precise with the needle and works efficiently, and is always on time for the appointments. The office is spotless with calming classical music in the background. Highly recommended!

This was my first session, and I will be coming back for more! The process was not at all painful, I actually fell asleep. Igor was quick and efficient and even quickly responded to my follow up questions sent via text. Some tips however, because I did breakout with tiny whiteheads all over the area that was treated because I didn’t follow the correct after-​care process. Have Neosporin or any Antibiotic ointment on hand, and apply as soon as you can. Do not cleanse with face wash right after treatment, instead I wish I just used a warm cloth, followed by witch-​hazel then Neosporin. Oh well, I know for next time! The irritation, tiny white heads and redness went away after 24 hours, but I will follow the right process next time to hopefully avoid it all together.

He is truly great. Doesn’t engage in unnecessary chit chat that some electrologists feel it is their duty to do. His mission is to get the hair! and he succeeds!

First visit today and Igor was amazing!!! A man of few words haha. I met with him for 30 mins and he was so fast and painless. I will absolutely stick with him. The prices are good especially if you commit to the full hour which I will definitely do next time. He is skilled. Can’t wait for my next visit in a few weeks!

Located in an office building off of Fifth Avenue, I experienced for the first time, virtually painless hair removal by the kindest professional who carefully removes hair without wasting even a minute of your time or money. What a pleasure to find an honest and exceedingly talented practitioner these days.

Rude and unprofessional. I arrived late due to the train and he didn’t even decency to open the door to speak to me. I understand late customers push everything back but that was ridiculous. Is your office that small if you open the door and i’d see your current customer??? I will be taking my business somewhere else.

Having found this place has been one of my «too good to be true» experiences. I’ve been to other places before, but there were flaws here and there until I came to find Igor through Unilocal.Everbody else is righ on the reviews! He is the full package: polite, neat, efficient, fast, and definitely not someone to rip you off. I’ve been very happy so far with his service and totally recommend it!

I purchased a Unilocal deal and I had high expectations before going to Preferred Image. First because I’ve been dealing with facial hair for too long and second because the results obtained with Affordable Electrolysis were not those expected (hair not fully removed and scars). Igor saved me! Not enough that is a polite, delicate and on time, he also is a real magician!!!
I felt asleep after 20min of electrolysis on my chin and sideburns, which usually is not pleasant. But I felt so comfortable that I could let myself go. And to give you an another good reason to GO SEE HIM: he did not wake me up until he was fully done with my face (full clearance) which included an extra 30min that he did not charge me!!! Well, it was exeptionnal for so don’t expect him to do it for everybody but still, it tells you a lot about how meticulous and passionated he is about his work.
Do yourself a favor and GO SEE HIM, it worth every single penny that you will spend in addition to help you becoming you hair free!

Excellent electrolysist. Prices are fair. Igor is very professional and clean!!! Uses magnification and illumination to efficiently remove even the tiniest unwanted hair. And he’s open late and on weekends. The best!

I should probably not write this, to make sure this place isn’t getting too popular, na lets try not to be too selfish here. So I am not going to write about why Electrolysis or not, we got google for that and just focus on my experience here:
General stuff:
This is a one man operations in one tiny treatment room. Personally I don’t see how the elevator that someone else mentioned is an issue.
Pros:
So far good results… I update if that changes longer term
Not uncomfortable, though I probably have an above average pain threshold I felt this is generally way better than with say laser treatment I tried
As someone else stated, open late if necessary and making an appointment within a few days always worked out.
We always started on time and the technician works diligently for the exact time, exactly what you need when you pay by the hour. Still you need min an hour to do say an armpit, not the technicans fault, that techique just takes a bit longer.
Cheap and clean
Technician was always super friendly to me.
Cons:
Normally no app. on weekends I was told (even though I personally don’t need that anyway)
Since there is only one person if you want the weekly slot that someone else has, you got a problem.

Igor is one of the best, and you will not be disappointed. I started with him 2 months ago, and each appointment leads to improvement in my permanent hair removal journey. He’s polite, always on-​time, informative, clean, fast, really friendly and very affordable. I see him weekly.

Open late, but good luck with that elevator.
Also, be sure to bring a flashlight to find your way down the hall if your appt is in the eve hours.
And if you are say, getting the ‘naughty bits done’, make sure that door is LOCKED.
Also, claustrophobics go elsewhere.
And turn off your phone lest the guy you’re seeing will magically be able to reach you after a 2 day game of phone tag AS you start the electrolysis process, leaving you in a fit of giggle-​oww-​giggling to his utter confusion.
Now in terms of sensation:
Feels like the world’s thinnest needle slightly penetrating your skin for 1 whole sec, then a slight prick, then repeat 100X
I am a wuss so at times, esp in the 1^st 10 mins, I made noise, but generally if you feel pain, it’s only like 2% at most in terms of potency.
But then again I was having my underarms done, not my $^%&# %$*@!!!
And although everyone’s hair pattern is different, dear GOD did it take a long time to finish 1 pit! We’re talking 90mins! And technically it was only 85−90% done by the time he wanted to close up shop! So I can’t imagine how long it would take to do, say, a full BACK.
But I want my undies DONE! –‘underarms’ that is.
We shall see.
