Don’t take your business to this guy. He hits on pretty girls(asked for my number once — WTF), and he gets into vicious political arguments with people. Um what? This isn’t what I go to street carts for. Coffee isn’t that good either. Always has too much milk. If you must have a baked potato, I guess he is the guy for it. I’m going to start going across the street to Coffee Bean for everything else from now on.

As I’m eating my spinach & cheese potato and reading Caroline C’s review, I’m becoming very, very afraid. I originally ordered the sour cream & chives potato but he was all out of chives so I switched to the spinach & cheese and he asked if I wanted it with sour cream so I said yes. When I got to my office and opened it up, I was met with what looked like a big mound of sour cream & cheese with some bits of spinach. I think there was a potato underneath. I scooped out most of the sour cream, cheese & spinach and basically ate the plain potato. I guess I usually make my own baked potatoes a little healthier so I was put off by this monstrosity.

I gotta give 5 stars for this place because Eddie(the Potato King) is super nice and talkative and always tries to make everyone smile(even though he can make weird comments at times). I go here for breakfast a lot and he makes really good coffee. He’s very cheap too. I paid like $ 4 for breakfast for 2. Unlike some of the other breakfast carts, he has a more heavy-duty cart that can make eggs, toast bagels, ect.

Maybe it’s b/c it was a hot day today or just my «luck», but I just had food poisoning from this Potato King stand/street food cart. Absolutely terrible… I was sick for four hours after I had my potato with cheese/spinach. I don’t want to talk about my food poisoning details here, but just beware.

The potatoes are huge and the toppings are plentiful.(skip the canned mushrooms) but def try the chili as a topping or just a sweet potato with butter and cinnamon and you will be happy you did. Plus he’s the nicest guy ever!

4 bucks no matter what toppings you add. It’s cheap, a satisfying meal, and quick. Okay. I can’t believe I’m writing a review for the potato king stand. but yes, it’s worth a visit,. it’s not healthy but if you’re looking for something quick and tasty, bang for the buck. pay this cart a quick visit…

Damn you Douglas L. for reviewing the Potato King first! Though I wouldn’t call it a «stand», it’s more of a «big ass cart.» The Potato King(though I would like to meet him behind the bleachers at 3 o’clock so we can fight for the title, because I can EAT more potato dishes than ANYONEINTHEFUCKINGWESTERNWORLD) is a genius. He is singlehandedly capitalizing on the baked potato-as-a-meal niche. That covers dieting women who have been on Weight Watchers for over 10 years, drunk Irishmen, white collar workers who indulge in «Fat Girl Fridays», and skinny Domincan girls(don’t ask why, but it’s true). For around four George Washingtons, you get a potato the size of a pre-Subway discovering Jarred and various toppings of cheese, steamed broccoli, sour cream, bacon bits, etc. If you want your toppings to be the real deal, i.e. real fried bacon, and real cheese, get lost. This is AMERICAN food, and thus the cheese is OBVIOUSLY processed cheese food product, and the bacon bits come a plastic shaking container. But you know it’s good because it’s so bad! And the Potato King is quick! He can make your little meal in 5 seconds! It’s true! It timed him(well, with a gun to his head, but he did it!)

A Cart on Sidewalk — Fast and efficient. For Lunch grab a $ 4 Potato with ALL toppings Imaginable. I started one day with Cheese and Broccoli, then next day with Cheese and Spinach, Chili, With Sour Cream. Bacon Bits, and you can ask for Hot sauce. Or other toppings available. Average time this guy works is about two potato’s made a minute so stand aside until you know what you want. The same guy converts from breakfast earlier in the day,(regular cart food) so you may see him twice in one day, like your wife on weekends may make you two meals.
