The speakeasy Visana(hidden door in the back of Pisa Pizza) introduced me to Pisa Pizza, but it was the pizza itself that made me stay into the wee hours of the morning after I left the speakeasy. Historically a grandma pizza and sausage calzone fan, I have tried many different slices here and have never been disappointed. This pizza is great! The staff has always been really nice and the fact that it stays open till 4 am next Sty Town will make this place very busy once the neighborhood knows who the new neighbor is. Gives Artichoke Pizza a real run for its money as the go-to spot in the area. Only recommendation I have is to have more calzones since they sell out too early every night(and by too early I mean 3 am).

We ordered a 14″ pie with onions and mushrooms. It was at best, average, but less than average considering the $ 18 price. The pizza was very thick and heavy, much like the stuff I grew up on in Pennsylvania and I’m fairly certain the mushrooms came out of a can. Maybe it’s better to go here when it turns into more of a bar? Because the pizza would be better when the utility of sopping up alcohol is needed.

the back door opens to Visana, so sneaky! the pizza here is greasy but so gooood after a good time at Visana. so strategic! But I mean, you’d deserve it after dancing up a storm all night! Late-night context aside, it really does stand alone as a great, warm, filling classic slice of NY pizza. If you’re not dancing before you consume this, you better put your dancing pants on and get moving after you eat it.

Pizza was delicious!!! It’s more bready than the typical paper thin NY style pizza, meaning it’s more filling. It was a super quick delivery. I have passed the restaurant before, and it’s probably one of the cleanest pizza places I have seen in the city. &&&& they have gluten-free options

love it! Really cool idea. I had no idea there was a back room, a really big back room. I thought it was just a small pizza place. Very nice

The best crispy pizza in town, everything is organic, I really love the cold pressed coconut water they have there, it’s really natural and refreshing. After a night partying this is the best spot where anyone could stop by and have a lovely meal as the end of the night :)

I’ve always said that 1st ave and 14th to 23rd is prime real estate for food joints that could take StuyTown by storm, and Pisa es here to take on the challenge. They are open til 4 am which is a game changer for this street and all them people up in the apt tryna eat after screwing around all night. The staff was super nice and the inside is pretty modern looking and chill. It definitely looks out of place on 1st ave along with Tal Bagel down the street, but I guess we renovating up this street. I got the white slice, which is by far ma fav type of pizza. Can I be super honest doe it was aite! It was not heavy which is a HUGE plus and had crunchy bottom//crust which is solid. But it was a lil too thin on the cheese and sauce content. The taste was pretty spot on but the blanco taste was not consistent throughout the slice. The prices were average but the thinness of the slices speak to the lesser quantity. Since it’s a new joint starting out id give them a curve! 3.5 rounded up! But no mistake still pretty bomb!

Pisa Pizza is located directly where Adriatic Italian Restaurant was. They even use the same brick oven as the old restaurant. Attached to the pizzeria is a lounge, called Visana. The employees were giddy when an older lady asked to peek inside so I did too! It looks swank, modern, and minimalistic. I’d grab a drink there. The pizza was a little pricey. I suggest to management to offer more than one size of pizza. They do have a slice by slice option. But the pizza is GOOD! Wow! Great actually! A true upgrade from the last restaurant! The whole place has a Brooklyn feel to it. Trendy, classy, and a little ahead of its time. I highly recommend this place!
