Small, chic, a bit loud — the perfect spot for a group of friends looking to have a mildly loud Saturday night romp in NYC. Definitely a small spot so make sure you’re looking for a spot for a single ladies night. They have a comparatively good sized dance floor so if you like dancing, go for it! The shots they mix up are amazing… dangerously amazing. I asked for the«check-in» shot and it might be my new favorite drink(I asked for a double). Worth the time but probably a good spot along a bar hop not the final destination.

Was debating for a while on whether or not I should leave a review and finally have decided to. I came here on a Saturday night after leaving work at 2am(at a restaurant in Brooklyn) for a nightcap on my walk home from the subway. Arrived around 3am. I live a few blocks away. They were trying to close up at 3:30 and that was OK. I guess it was one of the owners or a GF of the owner, she came up to me from her corner where she was having a drink and pressed me to leave. Told me they had a wedding in the morning. So I complied and got my things together. She proceeded to ask if I was OK and of I was going to be alright getting home, if I needed a cab, etc. Told me she didn’t want to make me feel rushed and wanted to come back«every day». It was uncomfortable, to say the least. Having an inebriated worker/owner/authority(?) there treat me like I was the drunk one and an alcoholic. That was 2 weeks ago. I haven’t been back since.

Pink’s is just the place for fun and camaraderie in the East Village. Run in and have a drink with Avi, Wayne & Troy. Their sense of hospitality welcomes new visitors to this eclectic bar as if you’re one of the many beloved regulars. On Saturdays, from 3−6pm, Wayne hosts an Open Mic featuring local talents. Enjoy a reading from Stefan Rak… listen to original music offered by a plethora of excellent musicians. Lend encouragement to burgeoning comedians and love having Troy whip up an authentic Hot Toddy as I did this weekend as temperatures drop. All in all, the classic Rock a Billy music curated by Pink’s staff will have you bopping in your seat! And THIS will be your new favorite place to drink and enjoy some leisure time. Meet up with all your friends! You’ll all love it! I can’t wait to get back!

I came in for their happy hour & to listen to the music. My cocktail was strong. Good amount of liquor, but the bartender used old ass pineapple juice. How did I know? It wasn’t sweet and it had an extra zing or ‘kick’ to it if you will. I told him it didn’t taste right. He disregarded me and said, ‘That’s pineapple juice.‘ No, dude. You clearly don’t drink pineapple juice. Maybe even just juice for that matter. The musical acts that graced the stage? They were not good, but not ‘nails to the chalkboard’ horrible. Maybe my tainted drink colored my hearing abilities, but that’s highly doubtful. I will not be back.

What a fun place! Although I do not karaōke, but it was so great to see others have fun. The best and most amazing I saw was Michael! Wow! I wish I could see him in concert!!! Michael, if you are reading this — YOUAREAMAZING!!! Michael is a rocker, who dresses the part and is an amazing entertainer and singer(just so other Michaels don’t think this is about them :) Michael aside, this is a great bar with great bartenders and great atmosphere.

2 hour wait for a near by restaurant so we stumbled upon pinks. It worked out great because their happy hour was still going on. Woot! I’m a beer fanatic so knowing they have laguanita IPA on tap, I’m very happy. Service was awesome. Every single person that came up to our table was super nice. Sometimes getting their attention was hard but nothing irritating. 4⁄5 because this is just based on ambience and draft beer(5 – 7, I think on tap total). I’ll have to go back to try the food.

A solid, bro-free bar! My only complaint is that I wasn’t there to see the live band, only the set up for it. TEASE! Anyway, the cocktails are good, bar tenders are attentive and friendly, and the fried Oreo’s are basically crack. That sums it up, I think.

3 – 3.5 stars. Unfortunately this place was just not my scene. Stopped by here on a Friday night and it was decently crowded. There was a band in the back playing rock and roll music and it was SOLOUD. Loud to the point where I had to shout«WHAT???» to someone sitting right next to after every sentence. I definitely did not appreciate this. We got the complimentary shots via Unilocal, which was nice, but the shots themselves were unimpressive: not sure what was in them but they kind of just tasted like a mystery(very) sweet juice. I ordered a Pinks Lemonade and was highly underwhelmed. It was too sweet(which is saying a lot because I usually love sweet drinks) and didn’t have the zing of fruitiness/alcohol that a good cocktail should have. To be fair I think this place would be more fun if you were really into rock and roll music. The atmosphere was chill. I won’t be coming back here though just because I wasn’t really into the music or the drinks. Glad I tried it though!

Tiffany was the rudest bartender I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Not only was she rude and made vile comments about us as we sat at her bar but when we asked her were we doing something that annoyed her she HITME&PULLED A CHAIRFROMUNDERMYFRIEND. Not only should she be fired but she needs to be put in a home for the bewildered. Im praying for Tiffany.

Happy Hour 4 – 8 is always a wonderful thing in my book. Rock & Roll music — real music like Led Zep, Soundgarden, Jimi Hendrix, some punk and new wave playing all night long — you get the jist. Small spot with a semi industrial garage look and dark feel along with automotive parts adorning the walls. Some cool pictures too. Not a lot of seating though but comfy stools at the bar. Chil rock vibe and some nice bartenders. Happy hour $ 5 beers and bar snacks made it’s way into my mouth. Ok enough beer list and really solid cocktail offerings. They also have a small stage here for bands, comedy nights, and a DJ on select evenings. Free shot with Unilocal check in. Pink’s Lemonade shot. Me happy!

Any place that holds ‘80s New Wave Bingo Night gets points from me. My friend and I were walking around the East Village to find something to eat(for him) and something to drink(for me). At the urge of the bouncer and his mention of a 2-for-1 burger deal on Tuesday nights, we stumbled into Pink’s. I’ve actually been here before for a Unilocal Elite event and had a great time. I meant to write a review but then too much time passed(oops). I’m always on the lookout for bars where you can hold a conversation. Pink’s fits the bill on that one. There weren’t too many groups, which meant getting a seat at the bar or a table was really easy. They’ve got a fair beer list and great cocktails. My friend really liked his burger, and there were loads of appetizers that I wanted to try. Also, the DJ for Bingo Night was so funny and charming! Like everyone else has said, there’s a rockabilly feel to this place, and it’s nice to see a cocktail bar with a bit of edge to it. But fear not, dive bar frequenters, I think you’d also enjoy grabbing a drink here too. I hope Pink’s sticks around! I’ll definitely be back.

Pinks NY Manhattan East Village 5pm Monday 1st June 2015 Five Stars It barely looked open on this rainy Monday afternoon. However the bar looks great with rockability feel and dragster decorations. They have a thunderbird hood on the wall and a matching grill above the gearshift beer taps. Pulp Fiction was playing on the exposed brick wall. The bartender/owner was extremely friendly and made sure we were taken care of. I enjoyed a happy hour six point righteous rye. I checked in on Unilocal and got a free shot. I asked for something pink but got a delicious peachy color whiskey shooter. Lastly we took a couple shots of casamigos tequila with smoke gourmet salt. We had two black and one hickory.

— Pinks is definitely not your usual bar! — Influenced by Kustom Kulture, this tiny bar had an interesting décor of car parts(which I’ll leave to those auto experts to describe and explain). — Now about those drinks: This place makes a very good whiskey mix that could taste like lemonade, juice and everything sweet… oh how very dangerous. — Kindness is the only true sweetness in this place that you won’t regret later; I’ve had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners during a Unilocal event along with the staff who gave off a very welcoming and friendly vibe. — So all-in-all, if you haven’t stumbled upon this place yet — a bar with a unique art in ambiance and in mixing drinks — definitely check out this new-found secret in the East Village.

This space is small but has plenty of personality to make up for it. You know what they say. Good things come in small packages. The motorcycle and automotive décor is edgy but the service is friendly. There is a nice selection of whiskeys and shots.

I had already removed my poor review of this place before Avi B., apparently the owner, sent me the following hate message: «Please keep your racist self far away from Pinks. If you want free toilet services I recommend finding a city park and using the woods. Just look out for those Mexican cops.» Leaving me no choice but to restore my account of the facts: I went in to check out the place and asked to use the restroom. The Mexican bar tender let me in but made a passive aggressive comment to another employee right in my face. I will not be coming back. Good luck with your empty bar. p. s. I’m Mexican and I can usually identify people of similar background, the point in mentioning that aspect of the person was for management to know which employee turned away a customer(and 3 friends).

First off, the bartender was super nice. She was awesome. Check in on Unilocal and get a free shot! Great way to start drinking. I had the Mr. Pink drink and Little Deuce Coupe. Both strong, amazing, and oh so tasty! YUM. Loved them both. Each cocktail was around $ 12. When we came around, it was just right. The bar wasn’t packed and the music was great. Iggy Pop? Yes, please! Also, the volume in there was just right. You can enjoy the music yet still be able to talk to your friends. Great spot for a drink and cannot wait to return!

Came here around 6:30 pm on a Thursday — the atmosphere was still pretty low key. Rock music streamed through the speakers, but at a volume low enough to make conversation. The Big Lebowski was projecting onto a brick wall with subtitles, so I suppose you could avert to your eyes to the movie or strike up a conversation on the random automotive parts decorating the wall. I got the Pink’s old fashioned, and it was a strong, assertive drink that got better and better with each sip. I think there’s live music here every once in a while, but it was really loud when I had walked into a band playing the other time and had to leave. Live music aside though — great bar to do happy hour at and just chill out.

I came here with high hopes; I was expecting some kick a** new bar. This bar was quite average in my eyes. The drink menu was nothing spectacular. You could get a decent brew, a mixed drink, or a few types of wine. I went with wine after a long day. I had their Malbec and it was on the sweet side. I kind of wish I was either given the heads up or was asked if I wanted to try it first. However, I will take some responsibility for this. I seemed to be quite decisive before I ordered it. The atmosphere was cool and the music was fine. There wasn’t a single song that came on that resulted in me telling my friend to shut up so I could sing along. Essentially, if you’re in the area and you’re dying for a drink, you can come here and you’ll be satisfied. Cheers.

What a great new addition to the East Village. Pinks emits a lot of different vibes. It’s got that whole dive bar feel with a rock n’ roll influence. And it’s IMO definitely on the classier side.(I know you’d never think the words«dive bar» and«classy» could be in the same sentence.) I agree with others in that it’s very alternative in nature. We came upon Pinks after a long day out exploring in the city. We were tired, wanted to grab a bite/drink and warm up in a relaxed setting. Basically, we wanted to be able to talk without having to scream over each other. They had it all. Our drinks were reasonable — $ 8 for a decent sized mixed drink* up to $ 12 for the fancier cocktails. We all ordered food from their menu which was small, yet pretty diverse for a dive bar. Like good friends do, we split everything. I ordered the Chicken Waffles($ 10) which were just as delicious as they were unhealthy(and worth every single bite). Fried chicken tenders dipped in a waffle batter crisped and served with Vermont Chipotle maple syrup. I also had the 3-Cheese Grilled Cheese with cheddar, fontina, gruyère and a tomato soup dip. Served with fries. THAT was amazing. The soup was smooth, creamy and the perfect accompaniment to the grilled cheese. Only suggestion, to get thicker/heartier bread. Our bartender/waiter/guy was fantastic. He helped accommodate my large party of 11 and ensured we had a wonderful night out. Excited to come back and try even more from the menu! Best of luck Pinks! _______________________________________ *The bartender gave me a drink on the house since it was my birthday. What a sweet surprise. SIDENOTE: Check in for a free shot!
