I made an appointment with the dermatology department for a body scan to make sure that I do not have any moles or marks that could be cancerous. After 75 minutes of waiting, I was brought into an unclean room room (a vacuum cleaner and folded cot with floral bedsheets stood in the corner. The examining chair was stained. I just sat int he once of the other chairs. I kept thinking that I should just leave, but figured that I had already invested some time, so I stuck it out. 15 minutes later the doctor came in. I showed him a few marks that I had and he addressed them. Then said that they do not do body scans on the same visit because insurance doesn’t always pay. I was only there for a body scan physical. I guess I am supposed to give up another entire afternoon, so they feel they are paid appropriately. I would have said something, but frankly I had enough signs that this was a terrible place.
