Great atmosphere if you enjoy a pleasant chat with the bartenders. The cocktails have their own special twist. I ordered a French Martini and the veteran bartender of 25 years made it with Citron Vodka… this was a first! I enjoyed myself and chatted for hours.

Decided to check out the hotel bar at the Paramount… nice ambience. Only ordered appetisers, which while slow to come out were very tasty. Washed down with a Chivas and cocktail… Nice overall but heavy on the wallet.

We decided to have dinner here before going to the theater. They advertise a pre-theater prix fixe and while our waiter asked if we were attending the theater, we were not offered the prix fixe. Once we asked, the menu came right away. That was the last thing we got quickly. We waited 40 minutes to get our main course. Overall, everything was tasty but the thrill was gone after waiting so long and asking multiple times. It be came a matter of getting to the theater on time instead of enjoying our meal. I got the skirt steak, which was cooked perfectly. However, it must have been cooked too early in relation to the other meals at the table. It was warm to cold when it arrived. Everyone else got the roasted chicken and liked it. I can tell you, it was hot… LOL. The deserts were all very good. The bread pudding is definitely at the top of the list. Highly recommend it.

We went to this restaurant as part of a package when we saw a Broadway show… We entered around 6 this«trendy» little restaurant in the back of the hotel and we were one of the few couples here. The place is decorated dark but it was not a dark restaurant. We were greeted immediately and within a few minutes we were seated. The waiter stopped by right after we sat down, introduced himself and told us a little about the food. Since we already had a credit(from a package we bought with the show) we tried to work that into our order. We had a wonderful and very large appetizer of humus with carrots and bread. There was plenty to share and it was very tasty and fresh. My wife had the beef stew and I must say it was incredibly flavorful with plenty of good sized pieces of very tender beef and fresh vegetables. The sauce was beef stock with a little bit of burgundy wine overtones. I had a hamburger… This was clearly a ½ pound burger that was perfectly cooked inside-out. A nice char on the outside and a perfect medium rare inside. Big, flavorful and juicy… Perfect… During the time we were there the restaurant clearly got very busy… Lots of folk smiling, laughing and and still were were able to speak at the table due to the good acoustics. While we don’t go to the city too often, I would definitely welcome a trip back for a lunch, dinner or late snack.

I went to this restaurant on a week night during Restaurant Week. The restaurant was practically empty at 6 when we arrived. We were quickly seated and the server was prompt in coming to the table to take our drink and appetizer orders. The calamari was really good. Crisp and hot with a yummy dipping sauce. The drinks were strong but could have been sweeter. For our entrees we ordered the steak which was also good. Very filling as the serving felt large. We waited a considerable amount of time to order dessert. It took about 25 minutes for the waiter to come back to the table. We ended up flagging down a manager who provided us each with an extra cocktail to make up for the wait. Service needs improvement but the food and drinks were very good. I would try the restaurant again in the future. Perhaps it was just an off night.

The Paramount Bar & Grill was a perfect find on our annual Christmas trip to the city. We were enthusiastically greeted at the entrance, then provided with quick and efficient service since we were in a rush for our 8pm show. The appetizers were a bit on the pricey side for the portion size, but worth it. My friends and I enjoyed it so much that we visited the following night for different choices of appetizers. Highly recommended!

While I’m not a fan of tragically hip places, where quality is usually sacrificed for appearance; I had a great meal here, recently. A late flight(thanks again, United!) got me to the hotel late enough so all I wanted to do is eat, and soon. While the entrance was packed with a bunch of people just standing there, I was seated quickly and realized the place was deserted. I was a little dubious; however my server saved the day. a pro; he went through the menu with familiarity, and made some great suggestions. My dinner arrived soon, and was great. Carefully prepared, fresh ingredients, and presented well. I was a happy camper.

Food was fantastic and service was excellent. Ask for Rodney, he’s an excellent server! Very pleased by everything at this restaurant. I ordered the turkey sandwich and my husband got the Tuna Poke. Both were incredible meals!

Friendly staff and awesome food. Great atmosphere and a great music selection while you dine. I had the grilled salmon and it was outstanding! Perfectly cooked. I would definitely visit again on a return visit to NYC.

very disappointed. I was there with a group and it was a treat for us all to do dinner and a show. we were there at about 6p and in my experience that’s ample time for a restaurant in the theater district to get you out in time for your show. WRONG! the place was near empty which i thought was a bad sign but it looked really fancy and the menu was pricey so i thought maybe it was just a fluke. Slow Slow Slow! Every thing was painfully slow. Maybe I would not have been as upset that things were slow if the food was good. I had the skirt stake and it was very chewy and bad. My husband had the salmon and it was over cooked. we had salads first. mine was a bed of undressed arugula with one tiny slice of green apple, two pecans and ONE crumble piece of blue cheese. it was ridiculous. There was no time to complain or send things back because we were already going to be late. we told the wait staff at least three different times that(beginning, middle, and end) we were going to an 8 show. DONOTGOHERE.

Major disappointment! While the place has great atmosphere and friendly service I WILLNOT return. We were one of the only tables in the restaurant last friday night however the service was beyond SLOW! Even after we mentioned(again!) we had a show to get to. .. the service just stalled. Sure the food was good but I was too stressed about the timing to enjoy it. Hot appetizers arrived over 15 minuets before the salads. Coffee took forever too. AND — we were late to the show! So we had to stand in the back until there was a break. Sure the manager and staff were nice BUT that does not make up for the SLOW service.

Ask for Andrew. He’s the monday through Friday guy behind the bar who will take great care of you. I’ve been there twice in the last 6 months and he remembered me! For a bar in Times Square that’s a remarkable feat! I’ll be back

Ate here for dinner during restaurant week 2015. It was pretty amazing! I had the caprese, filet mignon, and red velvet cake. All were really excellent, but the filet was particularly great. Very well seasoned, cooked just right, and a very good size. The red velvet cake was very sweet and rich, but super delicious. It seemed to me that this place is probably not packed, and it’s a prime location for out-of-towners and people going to shows!

This is a great bar with some pretty cool décor. The drinks are priced well and the staff is very friendly. If your around the area stop on in and get a drink. You’ll be happy you did

…for a drink at the bar… We were walking around Times square and needed to make a bathroom pit stop, so stopped into this trendy looking hotel. Super dark inside, but found our way to the bar and ordered a drink. Our bartender went way beyond the call of duty, and gave us the history lesson we’d wanted all day — as if he had produced the documentary about this place. Cool facts like Andy Warhol’s post-wake party was in the basement club. we live for random vacation moments like this. And the apple martini was good!

Absolutely horrible! Table of 5 empty restaurant so you’d think that the service would be amazing. WRONG! They messed up the order multiple times and brought two salads that we didn’t even order and then had the nerve to charge us for them. Like I said we were a table of 5 everyone ordered then about 45 min later the food finally came. The waiter starts walking away and I say where is my plate? He goes«Oh it was never placed… and the chef went home» At the end of the meal there was no discount or comps on anything. This establishment is a joke. Popped in for a after-theatre bite never coming back. Seriously if you’re in NYC you can do sooooo much better than this crappy place.

The BEST burger I have had in a long time. Delicious onion brioche bun, Gouda cheese, meat is perfect at medium rare. Surprisingly delicious! Would have given five stars, but the air freshener they pump through the hotel smells like someone who wears a ton of Ed Hardy and mistreats women. It is douchebag cologne and it permeates the lobby and restaurant! #gross
