As a loyal Papyrus customer I was totally shocked by how rude the associate was at this location. I politely asked where to find a specific card and she snapped at me saying«we don’t sell that kind of card» and I said oh thats strange bc I saw it at your other location. And she responded with«No you didn’t. You don’t know what youre talking about. The company doesnt even make a card like that». Worst customer service hands down. Will take my business elsewhere. And when I mentioned this to the woman who rang me up she simply said«oh shes had a long day». The manager at this location needs better help. Unacceptable to treat customers so poorly.

Customer service is very bad. I walked in and spent about 10 minutes finding 4 cards. Cashier could not even perform her one job duty, taking my money. This was the day time cashier and her attitude was miserable. I’m not a fussy person, but her attitude was bad enough for me to walk out without buying anything. All over the papyrus club membership, which the cashier was unable to understand herself. I came in to spend $ 30 on cardboard and glitter, but I’ll never shop at ANY Papyrus again. Its a greeting card store, who wants to buy such a superfluous item from such a lame staff. I’m going to amazon and shipping candy to my loved ones, which is cheaper anyway.

I met with Joy and she was a pleasure! I told her that I did not have a large budget for my wedding inviations and she led me in the right direction. We looked at books together and she guided me along the way. She was super helpful in picking fonts that looked good together and gave me tips on the wording of my invitations. I was in a bit of a rush to get the order placed and delivered and she did everything she could to make this happen for me. When they arrived, there was a problem with the caligraphy on the outer envelopes. I called her and she immediately helped me. She had the enveloped reprinted for no additional cost and they were shipped to me expeditiously. I really enjoyed my experience with Joy and Papyrus. I am fully aware that she could have told me that the envelope issue was my fault and charged me for re-printing. She was REALLY nice about the entire situation and that is why I am giving them a 5. Fully recommend going here for invitations or anything custom printed!

Ummm maybe management got wind of all the bad Unilocal reviews? I was in there twice yesterday, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I bought some bee-you-tee-ful wrapping paper. I got it just for looks, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that quality wrapping paper is so much easier to work with. Like when you’re using crappy wrapping paper, if you bend or crease the paper the slightest bit, you instantly get a worn line there, which looks bad. Also, the thicker paper is much more forgiving in general; it’s a lot less wrinkly. And it’s barely more than at Target($ 5-$ 6 per roll), so I will definitely be getting all of my wrapping paper here from now on. They have a lot of nice cards and card sets, too. But a lot of the cards have a lot of rhinestones and crap on them that seem like they’re designed by and for older ladies(no offense to the older ladies, I’d just like something a little more my speed!). A few of them are pretty cute, though. But they’re more expensive than I would like. Very cool shop overall.(And friendly!)

This is not the most friendliest Papyrus that I’ve experienced but it was close to my work and I needed to pick up some Thank you cards. I love writing and writing on pretty paper so Papyrus always have interesting cards and writing papers to purchase. I literally spend an hour in this store deciding what kind of cards I need to pick up and they’re not cheesy like Hallmark cards. Furthermore the paper quality is higher and depending on what kind of pen you use, the ink sets in better or doesn’t smudge. Depending on what store you go to, they also have nice pens and seals to use for your letters which give it a nice touch. Since you are paying for quality, they are a bit expensive for card in the ranges of $ 5 — $ 8 but if you’re writing to someone you care about price shouldn’t be an issue. Plus, there’s nothing more exciting than receiving a lovely letter in your mailbox!

I agree, this is a no star operation. Used Papyrus because was recommended that you could turn around invitations in 2 weeks. My mother’s health is failing and are putting a wedding together in 4 months. My fiancé has checked with Erin at 42nd st between 5 – 6 for over a week. Phone number 212−302−3053. Yesterday I spoke with Anna who is apparently the manager that there is a delay because the gilded stock we ordered was not available. Anna will not share the name of the person who told her this yesterday and now the invitations are delayed at least one more week. Monetary considerations are not important; the time frame for delivery was what mattered. We are now facing less than a 2 week turns around for hotels and because of the delay it now appears to many guests that they are seat fillers. I cannot accept the fact that the store did not contact the manufacturer to see what the status of the order was. We could have picked a different gilded stock if that was the case. I’m sorry with attitude does not cut it.

If there was a way to award less than one star, I would. I celebrated my birthday with a friend in the neighborhood and then wandered past this tempting, tempting paper store ready to blow a fat wad of money on myself. Because I love paper and that’s allllll I wanted for my birthday. I went in here. Smiled and said hi to the staff, who looked up and then ignored me. Uh, okay. I’ll pretend that didn’t happen. I convince myself that they’re both deaf and lost their hearing recently enough that they don’t know how to read lips yet. Yeah. That’s the ticket. So I load up my arms with my would-be purchase and stand at the counter. And I wait. And I wait. And I wai-ZZZZZzzzzzzz… The staff flat out ignored me. I set my would-be purchase on the counter and walked out. Then I purchased similar goods a few doors down at Kate’s Paperie, where the staff were helpful and attentive, and the wait at the counter was due to the store being busy versus the store employees thinking they were too good to wait on me.
