I go here for lunch at least three times a week. Their baguette sandwiches with Italian meats are irresistible!!! I am born and raised in Italy so I know how to recognize good quality ingredients, and Panette has the best fresh bread, cured meats, salads, cheeses. The staff is extremely nice and helpful and they put so much care in making your sandwich (in front of your eyes) that is remarkable.
You can also order their panini on Seamless, but the experience of walking in this little cozy spot, maybe getting also an espresso at the counter after your lunch, is so much better.
I would advise them to every one looking for a very affordable yummy lunch or snack with incredible quality of the ingredients. And of course to every Italian visiting New York!

This is no ordinary Italian sandwich shop (and by far, my favorite)! The quality of the ingredients are superior and the variety of flavor combinations they offer are amazing. You also have the option to customize your own sandwich to suite your personalized tastes. The staff is extremely friendly and obviously take great pride in their work and provide excellent customer service. I feel at home here. Try the lemon basil iced tea. The coffee is fantastic too! Buon appetito! Mangia bene! If you are ever in Rome by the Pantheon, definitely pay a visit to their flagship location, La Baguetteria. (I just love their play on Italian and French wording.)

I’ve tried a few of their #1, 2, and 3 sandwiches and their #2 salad (descriptions below). All of them were super fresh and delicious. They use Italian ingredients on French bread. Their bread is freshly baked in house with a nice crispy thin crust and excellent flavor. The mozzarella di bufala was soft and milky — not at all like the cold, rubbery stuff you get at some other places. I really enjoy their roasted eggplant, it was tender and silky, not dry. I had something similar in Florence and I’m super excited that I’ve found a great local option.
Sandwiches:
#1 — Parma Prosciutto, Mozzarella di bufala & Romaine
#2 — Bresaola, Grana Padano Parmesan, Arugula, Lemon & Pepper
#3 — Hot Soppressata, Burrata & house roasted Eggplant
Salad:
#2 — Romaine, Dried Tomatoes, House Roasted Eggplant & Zucchini W/​Balsamic Glaze

Decent quick take-​out choice for the area. Menu is simple, sandwiches and salad for lunch. I had the Smoke Salmon Salad ($ 10) and it literally a bowl of arugula, 3 pieces of smoked salmon, a few pieces of brie cheese and a mustard «dressing» that seems to be more a spread on a sandwich: way too thick it doesn’t even pour.
They seems to specialize in sandwich, so maybe salad was the wrong choice. I will give their sandwich a try next time!

Amazing sandwiches and super friendly service. Made my own sandwich with prosciutto di Parma, hot soppressata, burrata, arugula, truffle sauce, olive oil and balsamic glaze– BOMB! The meat is all sliced per order, super thin and sandwich is carefully put together to make sure you get a bit of everything with each bite. They warm the sandwich up so the cheese melts just enough and the bread softens before adding on the arugula/​olive oil/​balsamic. They know what they are doing. Also, they make a great cappuccino and they have sweets from Amy’s bread. Definitely will come back here next time I’m in NYC. Highly recommend.
My friend got the #4 Salmon, Brie and arugula which she said was amazing as well.

Nearly $ 12 for an underwhelming Smoked Salmon sandwich Eat24 pickup. FYI pastries from Amy’s bread (unclear on bread though) but not the authentic Italian I know, so likely a regional variation.

This awesome little spot has expanded their menu: they now serve delicious pasta salads, and for breakfast they now serve frittata sandwiches (veggie, or with meat). They also have tasty pastries and fresh squeezed OJ! As always the staff are both friendly and accommodating.

Love this place. Ventured in for the first time today and had multi grain baguette with arugula, Parmesan, lemon and pepper plus a much needed iced coffee. All for less then $ 20.

We were walking in the neighborhood when we came across this cute little place for lunch. The menu looked great so we decided to give it a try. Soooo goood! Super fresh mozzarella and delicious prosciutto on a soft baguette. Truly a great lunch. Also great that they customize any sandwich and you can create your own.

I just heard about this spot from a co-​worker. I have to say their paninis are the best I’ve had… EVER! The staff was super welcoming and the food is so fresh. The baguettes, meats, and cheeses are to die for. I’ve been back 4x’s and don’t plan on stopping! If I had to recommend a sandwich (btw you can build your own!), I’d go with the prosciutto, burrata, argula with truffle oil on a white baguette. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it so may just head over there now for round 5!

This is the REAL deal… excellent bread, fresh ingredients and a staff that is great !
I was suspect about their ‘bufala’ as so many rip off places sell inferior regular mozzarella as bufala; unfortunately many consumers do not know the difference.
I wanted a penette without meat. The gentleman granted my request with a bufala, tomatoes, lettuce and a pesto dressing sandwich to which he added olive oil
and pepper. Watching carefully as he prepared the ingredients I was salivating when I saw him slice a fresh ‘real deal’ bufala… I knew immediately this was going to be a delicious moment.

Panette just opened on my block. I’ve had a couple sandwiches so far, and they were both very good. So far the Prosciutto w/​fresh mozzarella is the standout for me. price was a bit high at around $ 12, so about 50−75% higher than a hero sandwich at a deli on the block, that said I understand that the quality of the bread, meat and cheese is going to be top level rather than at the deli where it is general food-​service level. I’m glad to have a break from the normal crap on my block and it sure beats that filthy old Chinese place that used to be in there.

So while roaming around 14th street, I ran into this cute little spot. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. They offer a variety of sandwiches and the staff even informed me that if I wanted to taste any of the meats, I was more than welcome to have a sample.
However, naturally my taste buds went for the prosciutto and mozzarella. And whoa! The mozzarella was super soft and full of flavor. I could just eat it on it’s own!
Definitely plan on going back soon! I would love to sample all the meats and cheeses as I can only imagine them to be amazing.

It’s an authentic Italian panini bar and you will pretty much have the most amazing melt-​in-​your-​mouth sandwich.
Here are straight forward sandwiches that highlight the thoughtful combination of high quality meats and cheeses.
«European» style sandwich or not the fact is these sandwiches are damn good!!!

Really cute Italian spot with excellent Panini. Got a Panini with Burrata and Prosciutto which was amazing, and they heat it up for you :) The service was really nice, and they told me that they just opened this week and soon will be offering deliveries. I will definitely be back on lunch breaks.
