Yum! Really well made soups(average price: $ 5). We had the tom yum(big shrimp), tom kha gai, and vegetable soup(which is unique, and we’ve never seen it served at other Thai restaurants). The pad woosen(sauteed glass noodles) were tasty and a good alternative to the usual pad thai. Portions were big enough to share, and service was fine. A good place to come for a solid Thai meal at a reasonable price. FYI: the restaurant is narrow, so might not be the best place for larger groups.

I ordered from Pad Thai on Seamless and I cannot be more disappointed. The massaman curry lunch special I ordered was missing rice. The lettuce of the side salad was squished and had spoilage spots. The noodles of the pad thai were clumped and dry — like the dish had been sitting for a while — and there was an odd flavor. Overall, I’m not confident that this food isn’t going to give me food poisoning so out it goes, along with $ 20.

Food was really good!!! We ordered the spicy mint fried rice, calamari, and garlic shrimp. The rice was pretty small but we were ok with that as I feel that we Americans tend to overeat. My husband LOVED his calamari. My husband and I really wish the shrimp was completely peeled in the garlic shrimp.(They leave the tails) Overall we both recommend this restaurant! The servers were very friendly and the food came out pretty quick!

I ordered a lunch special with chicken soup and chicken panang curry and an order of salmon sashimi. They’re pretty generous with the sashimi giving 10 pcs. The salmon was okay, not really firm and fresh. The curry tastes good. However, there were barely any chicken in my soup and curry. They sure put more onions in my curry to cover the chicken. The service was good, nothing too special. I. came in late lunch time so it wasn’t very crowded.

I went 2 days in a row, the pad see yu was so good but just not enough for the money. I even tried dinner size paying more money and really just the same thing. Carrying my to go plate was so light I’m still hungry. Sorry, not seeing me anymore. Give people what they pay for… Geesh it’s noodles for goodness sake. Never should skimp on those. Also the Chinese broccoli they gave me was all wasteful ends, two days in a row! Waste waste waste. People review honestly. They serve less than enough food. The waste ends of broccoli honestly pissed me off.

I love this place. I got takeout tonight: Pad See Eew, which was fresh and flavorful, but not overly sweet as I’ve found at other Thai places around town… I can taste the ingredients and they balance nicely. Looks like a really comfortable place to sit down as well. Next time I’m getting the Mango Salmon(a lady was raving about it, so good to know!)

This place should be renamed BADTHAI. Not because the food is bad(loved my veggie rolls) but because I am waiting 45 minutes for a rice dish. 4 tables around me ate… and all I have is rice!!! If you are not in a hurry then this will do just fine. If you are on break from work you may need to reconsider this place. Small and cozy, just a lot of waiting. Food just arrived… so I will go easy on my rating. I was VERY disappointed when I wrote this… esp. knowing other people are eating before me and they just walked in. Maybe I will order the Salmon next time.

Ok, I need to mention that I have a long lasting relationship with this place. I’m having lunch here almost every Wednesday for more than a year. They used to serve very delicious Pad Thai and I was a fan. But last couple of months I didn’t get the same flavour and taste anymore. Maybe they change a cook or something else happened, but the taste of Pad Thai just not great anymore. It is mainly dry… and I need to ask for an extra sauce every time I order. From time to time(but not always) I charged extra $ 1 for extra sauce)) But it’s not a problem. This is more disappointment in expectations of taste than the matter of money. I like this spot, people always nice here. It is enough space here for sit in comfort. So now I’m switching to their Curry and will remain a good memory of a Pad Thai that used to be tasty here :)

I used go here pretty often. The last two times I went I had bad experiences and won’t be back. The last time I was there I ordered chicken massaman(sp?) curry. There was barely any chicken in it. I brought it up with the waitress who had served me many times before. I told her the last time I was there, the same thing happened. There was barely any chicken in my dish. She reason she gave me was that there was a new owner. Then she handed me the bill. Even if they fixed this issue I wouldn’t go back. I won’t support a business whose owner thinks it’s okay to skimp that much.

Stumbled in here on the craving for Thai food and was not disappointed. Ordered shrimp pad Thai and two rolls(spicy salmon and avocado roll. Healthy portions and everything was fresh. After my meal I used the rest room and it was immaculate, which in the city can be appreciated greatly. The service is a little wonky like the servers are short or no personable but yanno what, most Asian– American staff is like that. Short and to the point. They don’t mess up orders and I’ll take that over friendly banter. I’m not trying to pick any of these people up lol. Overall positive experience and I’ll be sure to come back. Very affordable.

This is based on an online Seamless order. I have never been to the restaurant. I ordered the pad thai lunch special(that is supposed to come with a side of your choice) and tom kah soup. The pad thai is ok, but I didn’t receive the spring roll with my order. The delivery guy has to come back and bring me one. And they gave me the wrong soup. When I called to complain, and told them they gave me the wrong soup and there is no coconut milk in the broth. Instead of agreeing and apologizing, they told me «that’s the way we make it». Very disappointing. Won’t order from here again.

I’m thrilled to have found this place in my hood. With very affordable price, the curry and Kee Mao noodles with the flavorful thai spicy sweet sauce made my every evening after a long day’s work. Wonderful spot!

Trying not to vomit thinking about my experience at this place. 2 long black curly hairs wrapped around the pad Thai noodles like they were an ingredient. There was an equal proportion of chicken and hair in the dish — definitely the worst Thai I’ve ever had. The health department needs to shut this place down for good — they also don’t have a rating viewable on their premises which I think is a requirement in New York. I’d hate to ruin someone’s business but this place is really unsanitary and gross. It’s also so dark in there it’s like a dungeon. I had to bring the worker into the daylight to show him the 2 hairs wrapped around the noodle. He offered to make me another one hahahhahahahahahaah! Yeah, please whip me up another batch of your hair filled noodles, sounds good. NO! This place should be shut down. Avoid at all costs.

Not at all fancy, but you don’t feel like you’re eating in a cafeteria — the décor is acceptable for dinner. But it’s really all about the food… Pad Thai’s namesake dish is great, but so are most of the entrees I’ve tried. And they offer sushi that is fresh and good, if not fancy — basic rolls and not too much in the way of mega rolls. Service is usually excellent, but then I’m not stranger to the place. Prices are very good. Don’t expect to be wowed! by the atmosphere, but if you’re hungry and in the area, this is a good choice. I’d consider it a gem in this neighborhood.

Pad Thai is a small restaurant with mostly white, black and grey theme splashes throughout decorating walls, chairs and chair cushions. We were the first ones there for lunch. I’m not sure if it was because we were early or if that was indicative of how diners felt about the food. There are lunch specials as well as their regular dishes. Wait staff efficient but have no personality. They were good with refilling water without even asking. I had the papaya salad, which was my free appetizer with the lunch special. It came in a high bowl, which made eating it a little awkward. The green papaya thinly sliced, a hint of crushed peanuts still the salad was missing those big, bold Thai flavors, like the fish sauce, garlic, lime, Thai chili and same thing for the Gai Pad Khing which is chicken with ginger, wood ear fungus, bell pepper and onions for $ 7.85. Taste and spices were too subdued for me and tended to be more on the bland side. There were only a few strands of ginger that really didn’t impact the dish at all and one piece of wood ear fungus that I don’t remember eating. It came in a bowl, on a round plate with a side of rice. My girlfriend had the chicken Thai Fried Rice lunch special and the chicken dumplings to start for $ 7.85. It had a strange green skin that was fried and didn’t look appetizing to me. There were 2 pieces on top of the dipping sauce. She poured the sauce into her fried rice because either she like the flavor or maybe the rice needed some additional seasoning. The place eventually did pick up with more customers.

Looking for a Thai restaurant? Nearby MSG and Penn Station with reasonable prices? Then look no further and stop by Pad Thai. You can easily miss this place it’s so small. But it’s definitely worth trying. I don’t know many Thai places in NYC where you can get Pad See Yu for dinner for $ 10. My friend got Salmon Teriyaki for $ 14 which she said was very good. As for me, my noodles were cooked great. The staff was nice enough to add some extra heat to my meal, as per my request. And then were great enough to keep our water glasses constantly full.(Damn, those spices got to me.) We split some shrimp steamed dumplings which were quite good, although I wish had more flavor. And my Thai iced tea $ 3 just hit the spot. Perfect balance of sweet and richness. The only thing I have to say which was kinda interesting was feeling the train rumbling underneath the restaurant. Didn’t bother me too much but definitely shocked me the first time I felt it! The place was very cute and intimate. I’ll be back if I am craving for my Thai food fix.
