**THISIS A SECONDATTEMPTTOREVIEWTHEIRNEWLOCATIONONPRINCE, WHICH UnilocalINCORRECTLYANDINEXPLICABLYMERGEDWITHTHEIRORIGINALPRINCELOCATIONDESPITEMENTIONINTHEREVIEWITSELF*** Really confused by Olive’s. They seem to open & close locations in the SoHo area at a great clip, and not maintain their website or Unilocal presence accordingly(I marked 3 listings closed just before writing this). I passed this one the day it opened(not realizing that because they have another location just up Prince), but didn’t drop in, then tried finding it on Unilocal with no luck(just the 120 Prince location), so on my return visit, they informed me of a promo with the 120 Prince predecessor(which is still open), where a $ 10 purchase at that one gets you a free cookie and/or coffee at this one just across Prince. I wasn’t really into that, so I just made some conversation with the friendly staff and scored a small chocolate chip cookie that they’d made specifically for the promo. It was decent for $ 1.63, bbut definitely didn’t convince me to try other offerings.

I went to the new one that’s opened on Sullivan Street /Prince Street today and loved it! The Owner served me and gave me great descriptions of all the options, was super friendly and asked me my name & shook my hand. I then went for a mushroom salad which was absolutely delicious! The ingredients were high quality and fresh, there was a home-made dressing in there which was orange in colour and I don’t know what was in it but it was PHENOMENAL. So good. The mushrooms had been sautéed in lots of nice herbs and weren’t oily or soggy at all. For this area, the prices are good. I would highly recommend this place.

The food is delicious, albeit overpriced. However, the employees are incredibly unpleasant.

Stumbled upon Olive’s while searching for lunch. I can’t begin to tell you how amazing these sandwiches are. The place is extremely small(no place to eat there minus the bench outside) so you go in and they have some sandwiches and salads pre made and you grab what you’d like and check out. It can get pricey, but so worth it.

Stopped in the other day. What the heck… gonna give 5 stars because it was one of David Bowie’s regular«go-to» places up until the very end!

I’m pretty happy with this place. That focaccia chicken sang is Their cookies are super yummy and so are the house made juices n ice tea. Try and avoid peak lunch hours!

Their cookie cost $ 4. Very unreasonable considering the cookie were real thin. For that I can get a bigger, affordable and more delicious looking cookie elsewhere :(the star was for the lovely smell in there of savory food

wow service from this lady really sucks. I asked her what special sandwich they had, not even busy, just points to the board and looks away. I would understand if the place was busy at the time but was not. For the price you pay, at least smile? Food is a bit pricey for pre-made sandwiches sitting there. I wouldn’t mind if it was made to order but it just sat there. I think the only thing i may come back for is the coffee.

Great for a fast lunch while shopping in soho. All their sandwiches and salads are pre made and there is no tables/places to sit at this location. I recommend the Olive’s Hero with marinated onions and olive tampanade. The ½ size was enough to keep me going through a long afternoon of shopping. A bit overpriced for what it is but reasonable in soho. Expect $ 10 for a half sandwich and iced tea.

If you get a coffee here, apparently you can’t ask for a sleeve. At almost 5 $ this place hands out Americano’s wrapped in a tissue, I asked for either a sleeve or maybe a double paper cup, but the waitress told me owner’s policy, and handed me my Americano to go wrapped in tissue.

Great sandwich takeout but the wait can be long and there’s really nowhere to sit if you want to stay.

I’ve never touched the packaged salads, etc, in that time-warped metal Coca-Cola vessel, but the daily specials including soups and sandwiches are the bomb. They make everything right there in their tiny spot, and it’s pretty quick. The soups are always thick and tasty. The sandwiches are too, although at times the ratio of food to bread can be totally wrong; however, I bring a pre-disposed notion to this such that baguettes shouldn’t be used for sandwiches(and don’t get me started on mason jars for drinks of any kind), so I’m not totally into the shiitake sandwich. Anyway, they make awesome stuff and it’s not cheap; and I keep coming back, regularly. See you there.

Had a quick stop here to warm up from the COLD weather. It’s a rustic little place on Prince Street. My friend and I ordered the carrot ginger soup, and it was probably the most delicious soup I’ve ever had, seriously. And it wasn’t overpriced given the real estate in SOHO. They have a bench area where you can sit and relax a bit. They also have pre-made salads, baked goods, coffee, tea and sandwiches on demand. It’s not organic, but a nice little spot for a quick bite or grab and go.

i have a bit of a love-hate relationship with Olive’s. I love them because… THEYHAVESTUMPTOWN. I hate them because… they charge so much more for the Stumptown. A «large» here costs more than the actual large at Stumptown. I’ve been spoiled by working 2 avenues away from Stumptown for months and now that I’m not there anymore, I go through mornings where I just NEED a good cup of coffee(none of that Green Mountain KCup stuff!). Until I can get my fix somewhere else in the Soho area, Olive’s it is.

A $ 16.88 salad? Daaaaaamn, son. When I noted the price to my friend in line he was all«Daaaaaaamn» as well. The cashier gave me a stale look. Whatever. Shit was bomb bomb. Sandwiches are always on point too. Not too pricey for what you get. around $ 10 per. I’m less than concerned about how nice people are to their customers at a take out spot. The food speaks for itself and everything is always fresh and delicious. There’s also free cookie samples near the door. Olive’s wins.

Solid food but the service is non existent! I waited at the register for like what seemed like forever before some one greeted me and took my order. Finally an unfriendly lady took my order and charged me $ 7.50 for a breakfast sandwich of egg, cheese and bacon on a roll. Hey at least it tasted good!

BEWAREALLPEOPLEWITHFOODALLERGIES. Today was the second time I ordered from Olive’s and called to confirm their soup was gluten free. On both occasions, they confirmed with the chef and said that it was. The first time, the soup arrived with pasta in it. Fail. The second time, I got half way through the soup when my stomach started killing me. So I called them back and asked again. Sure enough, there was bread in the purée. They simply offered me a sorry and hung up the phone. Food allergies are no joke and a restaurant that doesn’t care enough their patrons to know what’s going into their food? No thank you.

In a rush I stopped in today to pick up a salad and my eye was drawn to the beautiful tomatoes in the special Olive’s Little Bites: Joe’s Mozzarella, Red and Yellow Beefsteak Tomatoes, Fusilli Pesto, Roasted Vegetables, Mixed Greens, and Parmesan Crostini with Balsamic-Shallot Vinaigrette. When the counter person rang me up and it was $ 15.50 + tax I almost told her she could keep the damn salad. I’m glad I didn’t, because this salad is absolutely wonderful and worth every penny. The salad is massive and could easily serve for two meals. All the components were great and well portioned; I especially liked the little bit of pesto pasta in the salad. The only component which wasn’t fantastic was the mozzarella, which is the same mozzarella they use in their sandwiches and I think is subpar.

love the sandwiches here. The staff are not rude, but not really enthused.
