I came here on Saturday night as part of my former co-worker’s birthday party/St. Patrick’s Day party and was highly impressed. The service was friendly and efficient, the room was stylish and the music added to the festive mood. As Lauren S. already stated, the bread balls at the beginning of the meal are just incredible. For dinner, I had a salad to start and then the salmon, which was perfectly cooked medium-rare as I had asked, which came with squash, pumpkin seeds and some sort of cabbage. So good! I highly, highly recommend Nuela for any kind of special occasion.

«Nuela» is not Nutella minus a «t” – it’s short for Nuevo Latino, a concept which seems to translate into lurid décor and a pan-Latin menu. I came here during Restaurant Week on a Friday and had planned to partake in a happy hour promotion before my group’s dinner reservation. The restaurant’s web site advertised as follows: „Every Monday-Friday from 5:00 — 7:00 complimentary Pisco Sours and other Pisco Porton cocktails“ . Yet, when my group arrived between 6:00 — 6:30, we were told that the bar was closed for a private event and wouldn’t be open until 7:00. I found that claim to be highly suspicious as I never saw a large party in the bar area. Therefore, I can’t recommend that anyone plan on taking advantage of this happy hour. As for the food, the quality was markedly inconsistent. Things started off on a high note with a basket of Pandebono, tasty Columbian rolls made with corn and cheese, served with a rich marscapone and honey spread. For my first course, I tried what the waitress recommended as her favorite starter – the“Chifa» sea bass cebiche with peanuts, scallion, thai chili, and sesame oil, an ample portion of fresh fish with a nice kick, which proved to be a better choice than the bland ceviche tipico my friend ordered. I was not terribly impressed with my entrée – the churrasco. The hanger steak was tough, and it was drowned in grease from a heavy hand with the chimichurri sauce. The well done, crispy yuca hashbrown was the best part of the dish. My dessert, the churros with chocolate, was very heavy and tasted as if each churro had been made with a stick of butter. Service was decent, and we did enjoy a free round of drinks(a moderately priced, quaffable Malbec for half the table and white sangria for the other half) through checking in on Facebook.

I know it sounds weird but when a restaurant calls me in advance to confirm it gives me a feeling that the place is organized. And I like that. Our reservation changed more times than usual and it was an evening where the train was shut down by police activity so i was late to arrive. Have no fear! My dining companion had arrived early and taken advantage of the wine per glass for $ 5 and cocktails for $ 7 happy hour special before 7 pm. We went on a Monday night and it was very dead. We wanted the quiet to catch up anyhow. The restaurant is pretty big with a large bar area with many high top tables and a small but more formal front section. There was a chic, sexy feeling to the joint. We started with the beef skewers and the chifa cebiche. The beef skewers were a very generous portion, cooked medium rare(what I like), interestingly flavored with vinegar and a salty rub, and accompanied by corn and potatoes. The chifa cebicha was a very different flavor but nicely done with the asian influence. We both ordered paellas for our entrees and they were wonderful. Again a generous portion size and the rice was so properly cooked in the pot! I had the duck and between the confit and breast, I was in duck heaven. I devoured my marscapone cheesecake and my friend enjoyed her churros. I’ll be back to enjoy the happy hour myself and likely for dinner in the future. Great find of a restaurant!

From the minute I walked in I already had a good feeling about Nuela. Maybe it was the sleek modern décor of this oversized eatery or the up beat Latin music playing in the background either way I sold and looking forward to a delicious Restaurant Week dinner with my foodie friend. We had a reservation for 7:30, which was definitely needed as this large eatery was stirring. There are two parts to the restaurant, the middle section is more of a bar like area which has high top tables and then a hibachi grill like eating area. The front and back of the restaurant are more formal dining, yet still casual. We were brought to a table tucked away in the corner, which I didn’t think I was going to like but it ended up being a magnet. After being seated, my friend kindly joked asking if I had studied the menu. He knew better! Of course I had. The fish of the day was sea bass, one of my favorites so it made the appetizers in terms of ceviche a little more exciting. Prior to ordering, a complimentary bread bowl was brought out with what looked like a ball of butter drizzled in honey. I had read about these babies on Unilocal,so I knew what was coming my way. It was a Spanish style cornbread served with mascarpone cheese in honey with some fresh spices. The bread was warm and the cheese added a nice sweetness. We then kicked off the meal with«Chifa Cebiche» and Yuca Rellena. The cebiche was sea bass in sesame oil topped with thai chilis, scallions and crushed peanuts. The sea bass was outstanding. It was served cold and had quite the bite to it because of those thai chilis. The peanuts added a crunch to the soft fish and the sesame oil gave just enough flavorful without it being overbearing. The Yuca Rellena was exactly what my friend wanted, something warm and comforting. Two little fried balls of love were delivered before him. This was mashed yuca and queso blanco served with two side sauces. Both of the sauces also packed some heat but also boosted the flavor of this comfort food. I was very pleased with the way the meal had started and eagerly awaited my entrée. I had ordered the Salmon & Squash«Locro» and my friend went with the Verde Rice. Now did I pick the salmon because it had pumpkin seeds … maybe. But also because my friend doesn’t eat shrimp and caring is sharing. The salmon was baked with the skin on. I’m usually a fan of it pan seared as I feel that baking it gives it a fishy taste but this was done right. The salmon was on a bed of pureed squash along with a side mashed squash. With the mashed squash was some pickled greens. The bitterness of the greens highlighted the smokiness of the squash. The pureed squash was dressed up nicely with salted pumpkin seeds adding a nice crunch. The Verde Rice dish reminded me of a brunch entrée. The dish was served in the pan that it was most likely prepared in which was a plus. This made the rice a little crunchy and burnt. Again my friend was looking for some comfort food. Along for the party with the rice was roasted veggies, brussel sprouts and squash it looked like along with a fried egg. At one point during the meal, this gentleman came over to our table to ask how everything was. He then proceeded to pick up the spoon from my friends dish and showed us the best way to scrape up the rice from the bottom of the pan. How helpful! It was then time to cruise into the third round, my favorite one. Dessert. my friend picked the churros, which were my first choice, but went with my second, the mascarpone cheesecake. I felt like such a bad foodie friend and completely forgot that my friend doesn’t like cheesecake. Fail. But this one was different. Rather than a crust on the bottom, there was toasted wafer on top. Under that was a light, delicate and airy piece of mascarpone cheesecake. The bottom of the bowl was layered with mandarin oranges which really put a twist on an old classic. The homerun was the coconut ice cream on the top. I could have ate a bowl of that alone. Churros, how can you go wrong here. And they were served with dark chocolate! Double win. Not overly crunchy and still warm, they were dressed up nicely in cinnamon and sugar topped off with some chocolate … I’m drooling just thinking about it. As the meal slowly came to a close, the gentleman who kindly helped my friend with his rice returned to our table. We laughed and joked, I even asked if I could have his job, he told me I start Sunday. I asked if he was the owner but he didn’t take credit and said he was the manager, Siggy. He then invited us to the bar to have some cocktails, on him! What a kind gesture. Sadly we both had places to be, so we passed. When I went over to tell Siggy thank you for the invite, I also met the owner. I truly had nothing but good things to say and was more than pleased with my dining experience at Nuela. The service was expectational and portions for the Restaurant Week were certainly up to par!

Came here for Restaurant Week with a group of friends after seeing good reviews on Unilocal for a fun evening. I don’t frequent Spanish restaurants very often, so I didn’t my expectations before coming pretty very open-ended. To start with, the inside of the restaurant was very spacious with trendy, modern décor(even the bathrooms had a nice feel to them). They did not seat us until everyone in our group was there, but during the wait I ordered a very tasty mojito. When we were seated, it took about twenty minutes for us to be able to order… maybe because of the number of people there were in the restaurant. Besides that, though, the food I ordered was very good: To start, they gave us these crumbly mini balls of bread with butter/honey that were AMAZING. I had to refrain from eating all of them to save room for my upcoming courses, which were also muy delicioso! Appetizer: Crispy pork shoulder-tender, crispy but not very greasy, over mashed yucca and topped with red onions. This was exactly what an appetizer should have been, because it got my appetite going for sure! Entrée: Got the Churrasco or the hanger steak medium rare, which was great-juicy, tender, great flavor. It came with a side of a «yucca hash brown» which was light and a great complement to the meat. Dessert: Passion and Coconut-not sure what I ate exactly, as its texture was between a pudding and an ice cream, but whatever it was, it had good flavor and delightful fruitiness that leaves you on a light note after dinner. I really liked this restaurant in general, except it took forever to get our food and the checks. not to mention our waitress accidentally charged too much money on one of our cards. But the manager was EXTREMELY nice and gave one of my friends her drinks for free because she had lost her wallet on the same day. Also, from what my friends told me as well, DON’T order the duck dish. I had a taste and it was honestly quite bland! Other than that, I had fun in this restaurant. Loved the contemporary, chill atmosphere and the food was great!

Came here for boys’ night out during Winter Restaurant Week. I’d never been here before, despite the fact that I used to work three blocks away for a year and a half. First thing I noticed was how trendy it was. Bright red décor, candles, booths, everything. The Restaurant Week menu was great, with tons of choices. Between the three of us, we all had completely different meals, except for the Argentinian bottled beer they had(Quilmes, which was very tasty and not too heavy). For my appetizer, I had the crispy pork shoulder. It was served over a bed of whatever tamales are made of, with a healthy serving of red onions on top. It definitely lived up to the name– it was very crispy. It didn’t taste unhealthy like pork rinds, and the meat was tender and flavorful. Would definitely recommend it if you’re into pork. For my entrée, I had the Peruvian Chicken. It was sized like a game hen, with a side of very large steak fries. I don’t know what I expected from the fries, but they were good despite not really fitting with the meal(and wasn’t as exotic as what my compatriots ordered). I couldn’t really taste the cheese sauce that was underneath the chicken(I was a bit stuffed up), but the spicy green pepper sauce that came on the side was what made the dish. Everything my buddies ordered, they enjoyed as well– seafood over rice and the hanger steak(my friend who frequents the best steak restaurants said it was great). The presentation of all our meals was top notch. Ended with the churros and chocolate dipping sauce. After the fries, I was stuffed but powered my way through for some sweet, sweet churros. Probably the best I’ve had since going down to Mexico. The service was wonderful and incredibly quick. We were done eating in a little over an hour. There’s not much elbow room, but that just adds to the charm. Definitely give this place a try! Oh yeah, the bread balls with butter in honey that they give you when you sit down are AMAZING.

More of a 3.5, but worth a try. Nuela is a huge(200 seat) restaurant in the Flatiron District serving up a variety of South American dishes. The service is great, and the managers come around to serve the food and make sure everything is fine. It’s quite trendy and a little pricey, but it’s on Savored so make sure you book through there to get 30% off your bill. Before you order, the waiter will bring out cornbread with a mascarpone and honey spread. The bread and butter is usually forgettable at restaurants, but this was something different and tasted great. The cornbread was nice and fluffy, and the mascarpone and honey spread tasted as good as it sounds. Shrimp and Charred Octopus Ceviche($ 14): Nuela offers five different types of ceviche. The shrimp and charred octopus ceviche was tasty, balancing the acidity with the smokey flavor of the charred octopus. The dish is also served with roasted corn kernels, adding a nice crunch. Empanda Trio($ 10): Three empanadas(beef, pork and shrimp, yuca and queso) come in this appetizer. They were all good, but I wouldn’t consider them anything special. Arroz con Pato for two($ 32/person): The arroz con pato is a huge dish brought out in a skillet(shown above) similar to a paella, but with five types of duck parts. Over verde rice, it includes roasted duck breast, confit thighs, gizzards, seared foie gras, and a soft duck egg. A manager comes out, explains each component, mixes it and serves a little to each person. The duck breast was cooked nicely and the foie gras was tasty and savory as always, but the confit thighs were very salty. Actually, the dish in general was a bit salty, but this is kind of expected for a South American dish featuring five duck parts. Chicken for two($ 25/person): The dish includes a whole smoked Peruvian chicken with huge french fries and huancaina sauce. The chicken was cooked well and was moist, but didn’t have as much flavor as other places specializing in Peruvian chicken(e.g. Pio Pio). Churros($ 9): For dessert, you can’t go wrong with churros and a chocolate sauce. The churros aren’t those gigantic ones you get at Six Flags, but they give enough to split between four people.

I’ve wanted to come here for a while because I’ve read some great things about it and I also happen to love me some spicy and flavorful South American food. So when I saw they were participating in RW I dragged my friend Kristin here last night. OK, so here is my assessment. I liked Nuela, but something seemed like it was missing in terms of aesthetics. Maybe it was because we were sitting at high top tables and the lighting was a little bright, but I would have liked for it to be a little more intimate, because I was obviously trying to get into Kristin’s pants. But in all seriousness, for a date spot I would say this does not have that mood setting factor — at least for me(perhaps I’m just difficult to impress). Kind of reminded me of Sushi Samba, but more open. So minus one star for décor. On to the food. When we sat at the lovely high top table, we were brought over little balls of bread — they were warm and moist and so damn yummy that we couldn’t stop eating them. They also put butter on the table, which I think was sitting in honey or something a little sweet, but it made the bread even better. To start I had the classico ceviche, which was made with sea bass and Thai chili so it had a little kick to it. For an entrée I had the cod, which was good, but if you’ve gone to places like Nobu where the Black Miso Cod melts in your mouth, this will pale in comparison. For dessert I had the cheesecake, which was good, but I’m not huge cheesecake fan so I ordered it because nothing else stood out on the RW menu for me to choose. Our server was upbeat and personable, though she did bring us white sangria instead of red. At first this irritated us, until we tasted it and were glad she messed up because it was so light and refreshing! The manager or maybe owner(not sure) kept coming to our table and asking us how things were, so that was nice. The bathrooms were really interesting and really dark down there(unisex too). Could definitely be a bathroom you could get it on in(not that I would ever do something like that).

Hubby and I came for dinner last Monday night. The service here is really phenomenal, even from the hostess whom I made a reservation through. The space is really airy with HUGE lofted ceilings and giant windows. Classy place. The two of us shared a trio of empanadas to start which were delicious! Great flaky pastry on the outside, and delicious, distinctive fillings on the inside. For our entrée we went with the highly lauded(at least on Unilocal) Arroz con Pato. AMAZING. Comes out in the pan so that you get all the crispy rice that’s stuck to the bottom. There’s a whole duck sitting on top of the fragrant rice/paella mixture, and a perfectly fried egg on top that melds all the flavors once you mix it all together! Hubby enjoyed the breast the most, I liked the leg. The foie gras was tasty and generously portioned. Kind of pricier, but really good food!

Came here for Restaurant Week to give it a try. Abstained from reading reviews beforehand to prevent coloring my opinion. Judging from the half-full dining room, I cannot predict if this place has staying power, but it was Monday night… In any case, I was very pleasantly surprised. The complimentary«bread» is fantastic. It is apparently actually gluten free as it is made from cheese and tapioca flour. It gets even more delicious when smeared in the cheese spread and honey accompaniment. The appetizers were very good– tuna ceviche with pineapple(and I normally am not a ceviche fan) and the pork belly with a tamale and red onion. The tuna was tart and plentiful, the pork belly seared very nicely with a caramelized edge and surprisingly less fat than I expected. The entrée of halibut and shrimp was the only misfire. The fish was cooked to just the right degree, but the yellow sauce was simply buttery and bland. I was hoping for a little more ooomph, especially after our server mentioned this is the second most popular entrée. If I went back, I would order something I knew had a little more kick(he did mention others that did though his only fault was his descriptions of the menu items could have gone a little more in depth). The desserts were delicious. We got the chocolate terrine with almond sorbet and the passion fruit sorbet and coconut cream. Both were accented with tasty nuts or macaroons and provided light, sweet finishes to the meal. I do not know the non-restaurant week prices here and that might impact whether I would consider a return visit. My companion was not as happy as I was but she can be a picky eater. I would consider coming back.

Duck paella = good. A unique dish, as it includes all parts of the duck, from a duck confit to duck breast to foie gras. A bit on the salty side, but worth trying. Enough to share as one entrée between 3 people(you’ll have to get other appetizers). ¼ roasted pig = not great. Not much flavor and not all the skin was crispy. Also, you would expect ¼ roasted pig to be a decent amount of meat, but it was definitely over-priced for the amount of food you received. Had 30% VillageVines, which made the meal affordable, but it was still about $ 45 per person after tax and tip, which is pricey for what it is(and without drinks). I can’t imagine paying for this meal without a 30% coupon.

Came here with the hubby because we had purchased a Groupon(or maybe it was Living Social? We’re coupon whores) for a ceviche tasting with wine or mixed drink flights. The décor is warm and smoldering, as Nuevo Latino restaurants tend to go. Great music that made me want to get up from the table and start salsa dancing(I didn’t, but maybe next time). Overall, I was feeling the vibe. We started off with the Pork Belly appetizer. The arepa was perfectly cooked, with a golden, crunchy exterior and melted cheesy goodness on the inside. The charred beans were light and added a nice refreshing bite to the already delicious pork belly pieces. We also split the short rib empanada, which we eventually fought for the last piece over(I won). As part of the ceviche, we sampled the tuna, the hamachi, the lobster and the market fish(«ceviche tipico»). They were good, but with the exception of the lobster, my palate couldn’t discern among them — they all kind of tasted the same, which isn’t exactly what you want when doing a ceviche tasting. The drinks that we selected for the tasting were very good. We especially liked the Nueva Latina, which had a nice smooth start and a peppery kick at the end. Fellow Unilocaler Sean M. was at Nuela at the same time, and I’m interested to know if he enjoyed it. My husband and I will definitely come back, this time focusing our energy on tackling the full menu

Oxtail empanadas NOMNOMNOM. Highlyyyyy recommend. who can resist bone marrow?! Octopus ceviche was okay. We ordered the half roasted suckling pig and verde rice(basically it’s veggie paella) to share among 5 ppl and we had a lot of pig left over. The verde rice was surprisingly tasty. The pig was just overwhelming — wayyy too much meat. Was good, but not much flavor. Interesting atmosphere. and the place was pretty empty on a Sunday night. Waiter was not the brightest bulb, and another one of the waitresses disappeared for 30 min and reappeared smelling strongly of pot.

Came here on my birthday. Nuela serves a mix of South-American fusion fare; all unique and scrumptious! The place gets pretty crowded; service can be a little faster but I got the impression they needed more team members or better teamwork. Our drinks arrived very slowly… I can understand food taking time to prepare, but drinks? Hm. At least our server was cool and accommodating despite the frenzy. He was good with my niece and nephew, so that’s always a plus. Recommended dishes: Butter Chicken, Paella. My paella was perfectly salted mmm. Dessert was also splendid: churros, mango ice cream, and lots of other choices. Despite the speed in service, I enjoyed having my birthday dinner here. And our waiter was pretty awesome so that made up for the slow service in other aspects.

This place is HOT! I was especially excited to try this place out for Restaurant Week since they were offering their regular menu(granted, the portions were a little less than usual as I surmised from photos) and this place is hands down the winner for winter RW2011! First of all, the décor is beautiful. This place aims to impress and from the bouncer-like guy at the entrance, the coat check, the bathroom lay-out, the music and the color theme it feels like a lounge more than a restaurant. That is, until you start tasting the food. I arrived a little early so I got myself a drink from the bar. Their cocktails are very original and everything sounds enticingly good. I tried the Andean Beauty, their take on the lychee martini. It was good but I much preferred the other cocktail I had with my dinner: the Nueva Latina! Must try everyone! It’s the perfect combination of vodka, pisco, guava and pepper. Utterly seductive, absolutely my kind of drink. Now on to the food. But before that a word on the service. The staff was excellent. I loved that they gave you a little plate of corn and bacon along with the Colombian bread and honeyed mascarpone before we even ordered. I had the Mixto de mariscos ceviche(Originality: 3.5 stars, Presentation: 4 stars, Taste: 4 stars); the Arroz con Pato(O: 5 stars, P: 5 stars, T: 5 stars); and Mascarpone Cheesecake(O: 4 stars, P: 5 stars, T: 5 stars). My friend also tried the octopus causa, the Peruvian chicken, and the Passion Y Coconut and every dish was delicious. The regular price is definitely on the higher end but the main entrees can be shared and the food is worth it. Definitely a place I would love to go back to. Whether for girls night or date night, this is highly recommended.

I love this place! Came here for restaurant week, and their entire menu was up for grabs. It came out with some amazing bread and a very very sweet butter. Market cerviche is amazing — such fresh fish and the roasted corn kernels added such depth to the meal. Oxtail empanadas tasted really good, and were stuffed FULL of oxtail meat. The lobster chupe had an extremely fresh taste and the butter sauce it came with was very rich. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was tender and sweet. The quinoa that came with it was so interesting and it gave the whole meal a good texture. Finally dessert! I didn’t care for the passion fruit sorbet — it was too tart, but the coconut pudding was tasty. What was better was the marscapone cheesecake with the coconut sorbet! I’m so glad I strayed away from chocolate for once! The place looks extremely hip and the music is very new, but sometimes the music gets a little weird. The service was not bad — water was always refilled and dishes were promptly cleared.

Decent, but not mind-blowing. I’m not sure I would be compelled to go back. I had a 15% discount card that softened the price blow a little bit, but here’s how it breaks down for me: 1. Ambiance: Nice enough, and they play that de rigeuer dance/trance music that sounds like the record has a skip in it. Adam Schop was walking around while I waited at the bar. He had that chefly look, and his arms were covered in tats. Nice. I was hanging at the bar, sampling a cocktail when my friends arrived. Shortly thereafter, were seated right by the entrance, which frankly wasn’t my first choice of table, especially given that there were so many others open. In fact, just as I walked into the restaurant up to the hostess station, I may have thought to myself(something to the effect of) «Wow, that’s a really badly placed table. I wouldn’t want to sit there.» Sure enough, we did. One star for that. 2. Drinks: I started at the bar and had a «Night Flower» which was extremely tasty; it was a fruit-based drink, but not overly sweet. One of my companions had the«Huacha Huacha,» a cucumber-based drink that’s also slightly sweet, but very interesting and tasty. Four stars for drinks. 3. Service: We had none of the overstaffed or inattentive issues that others have listed. Our waitress was stellar. Completely unobtrusive when necessary, and offered lots of advice. Five stars for service. 4. Food: This is a bit complicated, but the bottom line is three stars. Nothing sailed away fantastic, some things were very good, and some things were klunkers. The best thing, far and away, was the spread they brought for the bread, which was made from marscapone cheese and honey. Super tasty and unusual. Our apps: 1. Octopus & Pork Belly Anticuchos: Not anything to write home about. It was basically naked pork belly and octopus, and nothing really stood out about it. I’m not sure those flavors go that well together, to be honest. 2. Spicy Tuna crispy rice, creamy panca: Not sure why the sauce is called«creamy panca.» It was basically the sauce they use for spicy tuna rolls. It was very good, but not unfamiliar. The texture of the crispy rice with the tuna made it unique. 3. Foie Gras Croquetas liquid center, gingersnap, rum: These were recommended to me. I found them to be a little flavorless and uninteresting. They’re foie gras balls with liquid in the middle, kind of like the foie gras version of Freshen Up gum. I’d skip this if I were to go again. 4. Ceviche tipico(which doesn’t seem to be on the Menupages menu): very good, but not unusual and the portion was small. 5. My main course: I can’t speak to what my companions ordered, but they seemed happy with what they got. One got Scallop«Picante» parmesan crust, gnocchi, tomato, fennel, the other got King Salmon crispy skin, mushroom«escabeche», corn crema, aji dulce. I upon recommendation of the waitress, who said it was in fact her favorite dish on the menu, was the Short Rib«Lomo Saltado» tomatoes, green onions, french fries, tamari. While it was tender, it was extremely fatty, which accounts for its tenderness. It also was not that flavorful, except for the sauce. To me, if I need sauce to make something flavorful, there’s something wrong. I’m giving the food two and a half stars. All in all, a nice place to dine, but the food is really not anything to write home about. They really need to take it up a notch if they want to stick around. The service, a few dishes and really the cocktails make the place worth three stars, but they’re not going to make it on cocktails alone.

Ummmmm, let’s just say I wasn’t impressed. I was actually sad that it was so bad. The 2nd time I had that type of disappointment in a week. The food was overpriced and bland. I know the new thing is all about fusion and taking 2 cultures and blending… but I feel it didn’t work with this place. The drinks were the only thing that I would say was good.

I visited Nuela last week on a Tuesday night with a rather large(12) group of colleagues who were in from London. The service was stellar, the wine list acceptable(although a bit pricey for what was offered), and the design was worth a visit. I would recommend going with 1 – 2 people and enjoying the ceviche at the bar. This looked like the best experience to be had at the place. We started with several small plates including ceviches, sandwiches and a few other things. The most amazing dishes of the evening included the ceviches, the roast chicken(advertised for 2 but can easily feed 3 – 4), and the duck. The duck is also a sharing dish, quite large, and is presented over a rice that is baked into the pan which is wonderful after scraped from the bottom. I did try the tres leches for desert and it was nice, but not amazing. I would give it a round 2. Again, worth a try if you’re in the neighborhood.

7⁄11: Nuela had their soft opening last week and the place was packed. Soft lights, rich colors, and beautiful surrounding looked like it was made for a fun filled evening. Looking forward to their official grand opening and trying out the full menu.
