Noodle bar was totally satisfactory, and good for a decent, fairly quick meal. I had the Coconut Shrimp & Spicy Rice Noodle. It was kind of like a big coconut shrimp appetizer on top of Pad Thai. I didn’t really taste much spicy, but my good friend Sriracha took care of that. So it’s kind of like you get an appetizer and pad thai for eleven bucks. That’s a good deal. The Mee Goreng was also good. It had a nice umami flavor that resonated throughout the dish. Reminded me of what some Thai places call«Roadside Broad Noodle» except the noodles were lo-mein noodles. Service was fast and friendly. I’d come back.

Had a pretty decent lunch at Noodle Bar. AT1pm on a Sunday the place was practically empty. Ordered the veggie Mee Goreng. Everything was really fresh and flavorful, but was nothing special. Service was standard. Prices were what you’d expect: about $ 20 for two people. Would come back if I was in the mood for noodles, but wouldn’t make a special trip.

I came here and ordered some take out. When I read«Coconut, Shrimp & Spicy Rice Noodles egg, onions, carrots, bean sprouts and flat rice noodles.», I’m thinking shrimp in coconut sauce sautéed with some noodles — NOPE — To my dismay, some overly deep fried shrimp(I think) fillet with coconut flakes stared up at me and there goes my appetite. No where does the menu description reflect the fact that the starring ingredient in the dish is DEEPFRIED! With that said, the noodle tasted delicious and the girl who took my order was super nice.

This place is fairly close to where I work and I’m always on the search of yummy eateries come lunch time. I came here since I saw that many other Unilocal-ers had given this place fairly high reviews, so I was expecting something pretty tasty. The end result? Well, it wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t amazing either. I had gotten a noodle dish for their lunch special dish. I don’t even remember what it was because it was that unremarkable. I had to douse tons of sriracha onto my dish just to make it more flavorful for myself. Not really a good sign for me. I don’t think I would come back here since I just wasn’t that wow-ed by their food and, let’s face it, if you’re in this area, there are a bunch of other places that offer tastier fare for the same price range. You can probably do better.

I guess we like americanized Chinese. So Noodle Bar is exactly what I have been looking for! We’ve gotten take out twice now, and it was even better the second time. I love love the veggie fried rice and can’t wait to have it again. The spring rolls are pretty good too, though the second time they tasted like they could have used another minute in the fryer. My boyfriend gets the beef lo mein. They are really nice about changing/adding items. I would admit that the dishes skimp a little bit on the meat, but it’s not surprising given the affordable prices and the high price of meat. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great(dark but clean, lots of red), so I can’t wait to try eating in next time.

Ironically, I predicted my return to this place. It has been 3 years since I have been back. And if you read my previous review, for a good reason, I guess. Once again, it was pouring cats and dogs outside and it was windy as Hell, so we needed shelter! We initially tried to get into the Meatball Shop, but alas, still a wait. What is wrong with that place? Once again, this place was dead. I have no idea how they stay in business. Perhaps they do a lot of delivery and take-out. There wasn’t a soul in the place, so we got to sit wherever. I ordered a tofu salad along with a glass of Thai red wine. I have to say, the tofu was salad was excellent. It was a very decent portion and the salad was made with soft fresh tofu, carrots, greens and seaweed sprinkled on top. The ginger dressing was awesome! The Thai red wine was also decent. Nothing like a good dry Pinot Noir, but it held its own. There is nothing special to this place, but you can get a pretty cheap meal here. My salad and wine came to $ 12. Probably cheaper than going to McDonald’s. I don’t think I’ll be coming back again unless there is a BLIZZARD out. Let’s see if my predictions are right again!

This place is okay if you’re looking for an affordable noodle option without trekking to Chinatown. I had the Singapore noodles and my friend had the Pad Thai. The Singapore noodles were tasty, but a bit on the heavy side. The sauce was coated with oil and there really wasn’t much to the dish. When I asked for cilantro, I was told that it was going to be $ 1. Really? $ 1 for cilantro — that’s a bit steep. My friend really liked her Pad Thai — although it was heavy on the peanut sauce, she really enjoyed it. Also, the food was ready surprisingly quick — like 4 minutes after we ordered it. Kinda odd — do the they have plates of food sitting in the back ready to be served? gross The place is cash only. I doubt I would ever return to this place, but it satisfied our craving for noodles on this particular evening.

Obsessed. The shrimp wonton soup lunch special is divine. The tender, delicate shrimp wonton are fresh made– with this thin pasta shell that melts away in your mouth. The soup is giant– and garnished with fresh bok choy and straw mushrooms. fresh sliced carrot. all over a mound of curly thin egg noodles. The delivery guy is so cool– and super fast.

Kind of an in between Chinese/Indonesian Noodle bar where the food is not very authentic, but the location and the ambiance makes it cool enough to enjoy this corner shop in South of east Village. The place is decent sized, seats about 30 people and has seating at the bar too, where you can see the chef cook. The location is very nice, a pretty large open window so you can be part of the surrounding. Food was ok we had the Soto Ayam — which is the Indonesian Chicken soup and also the Coconut Shrimp & Spicy Rice Noodle. The service, specially our waitress was very nice and friendly so Four stars to her. Cool place to visit, but for the food alone, you may have better options in that neighborhood.
