Love this place, small but the seating area is really cute. Nice place to spend either alone time and get your caffeine on or catching up with friends. Tried the new matcha latte, healthier drink and perfect for the cold weather. Very nice barista and she gives good recommendation if you’re not sure what to order.

Can’t speak for the fare, but was rudely told to leave when hubby and I walked in 10 minutes to closing. We totally respect that machines(espresso) are already being cleaned up at that time, and service might not be possible– totally understandable! But please– there are nicer, more polite ways to say it. We visited once and won’t be back.

A great spot for a chat over a latte. The space is on the smaller side but you most likely won’t have an issue getting a seat. They also have a cat in the back shop! Her name is Ginger :) The barista was really sweet and made pretty latte art! They sell Doughnut Plant donuts and other pastries like stroopwafels.

The coffee is really good, the service fast and friendly. I would not stay there to work though. The curtado was one of the best I had in a long time.

The space here is pretty tight, but extends to the back! They have a small coffee bar in the front and a mini healthy market in the way back of the store. The small coffee bar offers donuts and sweets like cookies and chocolate as well. The market in the back sells nuts, healthy snacks, etc. the mocha here was tasty and warm.

I’ve been to this shop for over a year and still think it’s a gem in a city where 3rd wave coffee is expanding(Variety, Café Grumpy, Joe’s, Nobletree, Red Roasters, Toby’s Estate, etc…). This shop is one of the handful that carry coffee brands outside of the popular ones but are high quality: One Village Victrola Coava Curvee A few updates: * Kyoto is now $ 4 * No Counter Culture coffee. * They expanded their space to include a few more tables for seating. There is outside seating. * They use the new CUPS app. It allows for savings in your coffee habit. * Unfortunately they still carry Stumptown which is average comparative to the other brands out there. The owners love coffee as I’ve spoken with one of the partners. For 3rd wave coffee lovers, I think this shop is one of the top shops in NYC.

Cute seating area and the lance isn’t very crowded. There is also free wifi! They have this cool Kyoto Drip Coffee thing and it looks so cool, I wish I tried it, but instead I got the yingyang iced tea and coffee. I wish it were sweeter, but it had lots of flavor and the barista put a lot of effort into it! In the back is a small supermarket kind of thing and it’s pretty convenient to stop by.

I guess ratings vary. I love some of the baristas here. Some know their stuff and make with care. Others don’t. Take caution if you want a crafted drink and not just simple coffee. Gives good selection of brew. Always order some Kyoto drip if in doubt.

Dean & de luca meets a NY bodega = Nolita Mart. Pretty useful for the locals.

Love the owner here… she really cares about coffee quality and was really thoughtful in her recommendations. One of the best Kyoto Drip coffees i’ve ever had. The Himalayan blend was fruity and dark, like a good bar of bitter chocolate. The store is really cute and not crowded, so I would love to take a friend here and pretend we’re in a shady grove, sipping on some really good brews. The mart itself is focused on sourcing lots of healthy and unique products, some of which I haven’t seen at other places. If you’re into Whole Foods-style snacks but have found it to be TOOMAINSTREAM for you lately, definitely check this place out!

i think there is still a lot of asian enjoy coffee. coffee maker is not good as before and server are different . I mean she is a coffee maker but she never say hi to customer. not rude but just doesnt feel like friendly. this place suppose should be a place where you wanna relax and slow coffee style. I believe the owner doesnt want to be like this since i could see décor is very sweet and lovely. just. i wont go there that often anymore. btw, they do not have latte art anymore. Sad…

I really love this place, one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. My favorite drinks are the drip coffee, cold brew and the Kyoto drip(super strong). Although the seating area is limited, but I never had trouble finding a seat there to enjoy my sip while surfing the web for 10 – 20 minutes or do some reading. Staff is very friendly and their pastry is not too bad either!

I’ve been coming here since my college days, and it’s still one of my absolute favorite places in NYC to get work done. First, they make a solid cup of coffee. They use some of the best roasters around, including Stumptown, Counter Culture, Cuvée(from Austin), and Victrola(from Seattle). I also recently discovered(but they’ve had this for a while) their Kyoto-drip coffee. The contraption to make it is a huge tower of glass bulbs, originally popular in Kyoto(hence, its name) for making cold brew coffee. Because of the way the water drips through slowly, it’s a cleaner taste than other methods e.g. Toddy method. Anyways, the barista was so kind to let me sample it, and now my life is changed, let me tell ya! Most people seem to grab and go, but they’ve renovated a bit to make more seating, which is good, since they seem to get busier each year! They most definitely have wifi(ask for the password), as well as outlets(behind the seats by the window and the bench near the mart). They also have a bathroom! Best of all, they have the sweetest staff of all time. Especially in such a desert of quality cafes with remotely tolerable service, this is such a welcomed mainstay of the neighborhood. Notes: — their milk is from Battenkill Valley Creamery in upstate NY — they have a small selection of pastries, sandwiches, and salads — they now have some outdoor seating! — they take credit cards, but you’d have to pay at the mart.

Nolita Mart and Espresso Bar Pros: Cute trendy décor, great customer service, high quality coffee/tea, Kyoto drip, Doughnut Plant donuts, multiple iced coffee options and wifi. Cons: Pricey, Small seating area, the area is rundown(but it’s china town), cash only unless you go to market counter. This was my second Nolita Mart experience and this time I was back for the Kyoto drip coffee that takes 10hrs to brew. I heard a rumor it goes fast so we made sure to get in early, 10:30AM, take in mind I’m still living on West Coast time. They weren’t busy and it appeared they still had a lot of coffee available. It was 4 $ a cup but well worth it. I love iced coffee and their drip was a great start to an otherwise horrible travel day. They also stock Doughnut Plant donuts so grab a couple and don’t look back. Overall I love this place and it’s a diamond in the rough. I’d love to bring it back home with me to LA(sorry Klatch coffee). Their coffee and customer service was great. It also has a chill ambience to catch up on reading, emails or studying.

I am so happy I’ve found Nolita Mart. It is such a pleasant surprise to find in Chinatown. The décor is so calming and cute. I’ve been here twice so far and I just feel really relaxed and at peace. I’ve tried their drip coffee and their flat white. Both have been really good. The staff are also super nice and yes… WIFI! Though it doesn’t seem to me people take advantage of this because all of the customers seem to be grab and go.

Matcha latte!!! Why wouldn’t you get it? And chocolate chip cookie. And it’s a grocery store in the back. And drip coffee. Small space, very limited seating.

This place is pretty cool, we went in because we needed a little break from the cold and it had 4 stars on Unilocal and we wanted coffee. The cool mini fancy store in back was a huge plus! I’m also always pleasantly surprised when there are super swanky and nice places so close to Chinatown. Loved the selection of beers and specialty snacks, but things were a bit pricey for me. But if I lived in the area, I would LOVE this place! Think I was most impressed that you could get growlers of beer for a very reasonable price. They do not let you drink there, and it was too cold to drink anywhere outside nearby, so we didn’t get any, but I think we will definitely come back here in the summer. Coffee was good and they have little benches at the front and middle of store for you to sit and hang out and drink your coffee. I would come back here and recommend this place to others.

More upscale than the chinese delis its sandwiched between. Has alotta hipster friendly trendy foods like kale and bean chips, chia pods, Mclures pickles, micro brew beers in jugs, donut plant donuts, battenkill milk and house made prepared foods like baked pumpkin with pomegranite seeds and yogurt, soups and quiche. They oftentimes have cat litter when the asian delis are out. Yet the asian delis have much cheaper canned cat food and staple asian snacks. If youre into that. Cute orange tabby. Competent, kewl and super nice people who run it and work there.

Let’s just say that I live in a very… authentic part of town. Though there are grocery stores as far as the eye can see, it’s very difficult to shop at them if you don’t speak Chinese, pay cash only, or know how to de-bone a whole fish. Sometimes I just want a carton of almond milk, fancy chocolate bars, or a tub of hummus. You know, yuppy things that aren’t easy to find in Chinatown. That’s where Nolita Mart comes in. Open every day til 10pm, it’s been a savior to me many times. It was even open all through Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day! Aside from their well stocked grocery, they also have a little coffee bar area with delicious espresso drinks and goodies from the Doughnuttery(edit: it’s actually Donut Plant — thanks to a helpful Unilocaler for that correction!) on weekends. The staff is all really friendly, especially the family that runs it. It’s really a brilliant addition to this neighborhood as there are more and more young people moving into the Chinatown/Nolita area all the time and we all need our creature comforts. Never leave, Nolita Mart!

Great little place near Chinatown serving Stumptown beans. Friendly barista, good coffee and they have a Kyoto drip brewer! I found this place using the Cups app while roaming the nolita/chinatown/soho area. There’s an outdoor table to hang out and chat. I didn’t get a chance to shop the market but the coffee was great! They do have a selection of pastries, including doughnut plant!
