This is a great no-frills massage place. There’s never a wait, the therapists are all good and it’s reasonably priced. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because of the noise. The«rooms» are wall partitions, which is fine but that means sound travels easily. You can hear someone talking to their therapist in the next«room» as well as people chatting in the reception area. I’ve even heard the gentle snoring of people sleeping. It would be great to use ear plugs to block out any additional noise.

I’ve been to Nirvana several times over the past 6 months, it started with a groupon for their signature massage which included a foot soak and 60 minute massage. Personally I don’t really care for the foot soaking as much as my friend did, I enjoyed the massage and it kept me coming back. The staff is friendly and speaks limited English but they are very good, I like deep tissue massages which can sometimes be painful however if you tell them they will adjust the pressure to your liking. The rooms are small and enclosed with privacy clothes instead of doors, you can hear the other rooms so it’s not exactly quiet but a good massage for a good price. I recently returned, the place is under new management and the prices have changes a 60 minute session is $ 50 and a 90 minute session is $ 75. Will definitely return!

They refuse to give me a call back for a refund and I had a family emergency(funeral) very insensitive and dishonest. A manager was never on duty. I will never give this place my business.

I mean hey, it’s a massage. Everyone needs a massage every now and then. That’s exactly what I thought. So I went on good ol’ groupon to find a good deal. After some research, I settled with this place. It was cool. Walked into a typical set up. The receptionist was sorta weird about tingles and asked if i preferred a male or female. She didn’t ask who I was, if i had an appointment(which I did) nor did she ask me what I wanted. She took me behind a door where a few«private rooms» were. Literally a curtain and a massage table. After telling me to get undressed, she came in and was shocked I had my underwear on. She literally took them off of me and said«don’t worry» lol. Now the massage was great. A little painful but that’s probably because I’m very slim. After I was done I showed my voucher and they charged me $ 2 in tax. No biggie but she stood there insisting that I tip her. I gave $ 10 and left.

The people were very nice and kept the place open later for me. It was my first massage there. Eric, the guy that worked on me was so rough even after I kept telling him softer. I usually prefer massages that get the knots out and I don’t mind a bit of pressure but this was ridiculous after he sat on me with both legs on my thighs. He then worked on my feet a little too rough. The next day my toe felt like it had been sprained. I couldn’t walk well for about 4 days. I thought I would give this new technique a try but it was one of the worst massages I had ever had. I normally don’t like to write negative reviews but the fact that my body felt achy afterwards and that my toe had been sprained, I think deserves that people know what they’re getting into. The only reason that I gave three stars is because the staff was nice and the place looked clean and professional.

My co-worker recommended me to this place. The location I went to was the on the 2nd Ave. The place was very clean and the front desk lady was very nice and helpful. Amy was my massage therapist. She really know her stuff. Different muscle groups and pressure points. I get massages on a weekly basis and I have to say she is way more skillful than the fancy Spa’s where you pay top dollars and all they do is relax you on the surface. I went in with a tight shoulder and she really made it better and the next 2 days the tightness on my shoulder went away. She doesn’t speak much English but she does know the important terms to give a good massage. She asked me if I had any pain or muscle group that I want to focus on, which I think that’s really all there is to speak of, let her massage do all the talking. I was very pleased with Amy and the costumer service experience I had there. I am going back there to see Amy again and I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good, deep and relaxing massage.

I read the reviews here before buying a Living Social deal for a Signature massage here. I think that helped prepare me, because when I filled out the paperwork before the massage, I marked ‘soft’ pressure instead of medium or hard since people here had commented that they are heavy handed. I thought the massage overall was great, they definitely covered all the areas that you would expect for a fully body massage. My therapist was very sweet, but it is true that she didn’t speak much English. Luckily I didn’t have any specific requests, but if you did I can see how that might be an issue. She did ask me a couple of times if the pressure level was okay though, which I appreciated. The ambience in the rooms is good in terms of lighting, but I can confirm about the sheer curtain and about the noise. You can hear everything that is going on in the hallway and in the adjacent treatment rooms. Once I even heard a car honk all the way from the street. The noise didn’t really bother me though, and they do play calming music which helps cover it up. Overall, while my experience was not equivalent to going a fancy spa, this place was a very good value. I think if you know what to expect before going in then it helps a lot.

Mr. Khanh V. — I have not received a phone call or experienced any actual attempt to resolve this despite having filed a BBB Complaint and sending a letter with my contact information. Normally I would appreciate a business following up on Unilocal, but there has not been any genuine attempt to resolve things. Feel free to contact me at the number on my letterhead.

I got two deals off living social where I went with my boo for a day of love and relaxation. This place is amazing! My therapist definitely knew what she was doing! I felt so great after, I tipped her really well and will go back again!

Came here on a Groupon Deal and got the signature massage. I almost don’t want to review this place since I want to keep it all to myself, but lemme do the right thing and give credit where credit is due. For the price I got and even at regular price, it was an amazing experience all around. In an hour, I got foot reflexology, a face massage, a scalp massage, back realignment, a full body massage that concentrated on my problem areas(neck and shoulders and back) and even a thorough hands, arms and legs massage. It actually felt like the massage lasted longer than it was, which was great because I felt like I enjoyed it longer. Best massage I have had overall and I will definitely have to take advantage of the Groupon Deal and come back again soon! I do wish it was closer to the subway, but outside of that, the experience was amazing!

I visited with a groupon for an hour massage. When I got there receptionist said my name wasn’t down for an appointment(although I called week before). It was no problem though and I was seen quickly. I was asked how I liked the pressure before I went into the room. Only reason I’m giving four stars is for the lack of direction I got when ushered into the room. Apparently you lay face up with your feet in a bucket of water on the floor and a blanket over you. I’ve never experienced this as the start of a massage so I was surprised when my masseuse came in saying«no no.» Overall great massage although she spent more time on my feet than my back. On my way out I heard someone requesting«no feet» so maybe that’s what I would do next time. Very clean and pretty.

I had to do some errands at the UPS, so I decided to stop by this place since my feet were killing me! I even changed into flats but I guess that didn’t help much. The first thing that caught my eyes when I first stepped into this Spa was the purple scheme. NW gave me a very peaceful feeling when I stepped in. I was greeted by the receptionist and she asked me to fill out a form to help her know what kind of massage will fit me. I’m a very ticklish person so I informed the receptionist not to assign me to a person who’s hard-handed. I was assigned to Lisa and my g-d, she was amazing! She definitely knows how to hit the spot. My legs felt great after the massage. I even took advantage of their Loyalty Block so I got 25% off from my first visit! The service is wonderful here. Will be coming back here again :)

The place is classed up in the front but then you realize that there are nothing but semi-sheer curtains hiding you from the rest of the world. It doesn’t matter really what the walls look like when your eyes are closed during a massage. The initial impression before the massage was positive. Hey I get to wear a nice robe. Hey I get a water bath for my tootsies. The«bed» is super comfortable. Then I realized something else was up when the massage began. The masseuses speak limited English and have very very strong hands. Maybe that is what acupressure is all about but when I feel like I’m going to die from a strangulation purely from the back of my neck there is a minor problem. In fact I’ve had two massages here and both had their problems. The first one was a unassuming male masseur who in between rubbing my muscles(and almost killing me a few times before I told him a little lighter please under clenched teeth) was chatting with an unknown female character who kept coming into my «room». WTF? I know there is no privacy in this place after that and hearing the customer in the next curtain was blabbering away about how it was a lovely massage and that English isn’t her first language. Honey we get it, its not many of the people in this room’s first language, including myself! Disturbing my peace further was the pain of this acupressure. I swear I didn’t know there was a problem with that muscle until you touched it and made it scream bloody murder(and myself)! The second masseur I experienced even though of a female persuasion spent a LOT of time on my naked behind. A lot more than any masseur has ever done. I thought to myself, what the heck is wrong with my tush besides getting compressed at the very spot where I know I can’t give injections by her elbows(and I know why now because it hurt like hell). She also almost killed me a couple times by nearly rubbing my muscles off their bony attachments. This place is not for the lighthearted. Its not for me either.

I live around the corner and have been poking my head in the window the last couple of months while it has been under renovation. Saw the deep purple hues and pretty chandeliers and knew I was sold. A couple of days after it opened I walked right in, made an appointment for the following Sunday. Easy-peasy. This place is pretty much a really really nice«chinatown-esq» massage spot. I am no stranger to massages, though acupressure is new to me. Generally I have to actively turn my brain off and make relaxation a priority, but during my hour long full body treatment, waves of relaxation came over me. Lilly was my girl, and she didn’t miss a spot! She started with the head, amazing work on the feet, arms, legs, back. This was worth so much more than the introductory rate of $ 45 dollars. I can’t recommend enough. I will be back there every month for sure.
