Don’t waste your time with them. We made an appointment to have someone look at our floors in order to get an estimate for re-flooring. My husband went to our new and empty place, which is over an hour away. He waited and called when they were half an hour late. The person on the other end of the phone said they would call back to let him know when the technician would be there. Two hours later and after calling back a few times and having virtually the same exchange, still, nobody had showed up. My husband decided to call again before giving up and they stopped picking up the phone. The next day someone from the company called and said they had no record of the appointment. Needless to say, we decided not to do business with them.

New York Wood Floors is extremely disorganized. They are horrible at following up and need multiple reminders before delivering quotes. I had them remove carpet and refinish the wood floors in my apartment. They charged me their minimum price, which was $ 750. This was a rather small job, so I understand at having to pay a premium. However, when they came to do the work they called to tell me that the carpet removal was not included in the quote. After explaining that this was not possible as I included that detail in my many requests, they conceded. Overall, the job was fine. The minimum they charge is less than the other places I called. Just know that they are severely lacking in customer service and be sure to detail specifically what is included in the price as they will very likely try to screw you over. They were supposed to put down wood tiles in the closet as well and this was never completed.

The 20-year old sent to do the estimate was pleasant but clearly had no experience. He was also attired like a plumber(if you get my meaning) which was not a pleasant experience. He promised a quote by email the next day. It didn’t arrive. After 2 days I called the company to request it. It never came. Given the amount of money and effort required to re-do wooden floors, I recommend looking elsewhere.
