I thought these guys were great. I was looking for screws for my shelf and they were happy to help me without over selling or upselling. I would definitely come back here for all my hardware needs.

They are nice and helpful here. But the prices are absolutely through the roof. I understand its manhattan but I got charged 13.99 for an 8 piece hex set only to see the same brand/​style at a hardware store a couple blocks away selling 13.99 for a TWO pack (different sizes). I was pretty disappointed. $ 20 for a tiny roll of plastic cling wrap. Its insane. But nice guys there for sure

Great hardware store. Very friendly and helpful workers there. Went in looking for nails to hang pictures on the wall and found something even better for that cause with their help. Will return for any hardware needs while living in this area.

I was looking for a place to cut plexiglass all over the city; this was the only place that does it without making me buy it from them.
I cam twice, they charged me once, they were fair and honest.

I HAVE to Unilocal about these guys! I really have no knowledge of anything hardware but I’m tired of paying people to do little things around the house. So I decided to figure it out. These guys were super great with me! They didn’t get annoyed with my idiotic questions or responses… instead they tried to ask different questions.
I just hung up my first item on my own and I can’t possibly be any happier!

Having searched the neighborhood for vacuum belts and super-​large flappers for my toilet tank, this is the only hardware store that both times came to my rescue. They have a great selection for such a small space. Each visit the staff has been more than helpful and have always promised I could return my product if it turned out to be the incorrect fix/​fit. Thanks guys!!!
* Just wanted to offer a bit of an update. I do go here about twice a month. Some products they sell are very pricey. i.e. a small bag of salt to melt snow was $ 20.

BEST HARDWARE STORE EVER!!! The staff is super friendly and helpful!!! They definitely went out of their way to help me out!!! The customer service I received was above and beyond and never ever would have happened from one of those big box stores. They definitely proved to me why nothing beats supporting small local businesses. If I could have given them 10 stars I would have! The store has everything I could possibly need and the customer service is amazing! By far, the best ever!!!

Tiny store, but have everything you need jam packed in there. The woman working the counter was very helpful and friendly. Prices are resonable, a bit more then the Big Box store, but worth it, as you don’t have to spend an hour looking for what you need.

The woman that works there is very friendly and helpful, but the guys that work there need to hone their people skills. Price-​wise, their markup is a little high but I haven’t compared to other stores in the area, so I’m not sure if it’s just them or not.
Be forewarned: their return policy excludes tools and electrical items, and they are VERY liberal with their definition of «tools.» Despite the fact that I spent over $ 300 with them in the last few days, the guys that work there refused to take back an unused $ 60 ladder, citing that I COULD have used it, and therefore no one would want to buy it (huh?). I don’t know if the woman would’ve taken it back, she wasn’t around.
By providing zero customer service and refusing to refund a $ 60 ladder, these clowns lost themselves a customer – one that likely would’ve spent hundreds more over the next few years.

Just moved to NYC and the people here helped me pick out paint and hooked me up with someone to install a lock for me at a good price. Super friendly service and they really went the extra mile to take care of me. SO much better than Home Depot!
