After shopping for several hours and getting really good deals we were elated and needed a good meal! 22nd/6th location This was Monday evening 2/1/16…I noticed there was a grade A on the outside and decided to go have a burger. We ordered our food and when we got the order there were regular fries instead of sweet potato fries… i went to the counter to tell them the order was wrong and if it wasn’t to much of a inconvenience would they be kind enough to exchange it… well you would have thought I asked the impossible… the«cook“threw my receipt at me and said«you ordered regular fries» I said no maybe the lovely young girl who took my order made a mistake… do you not have sweet potato fries? He threw the fries into the fryer and literally argued with me about having to change them… by then the exhilaration of the shopping excursion had worn off and I told him this is no way to treat a customer! When the fries were done he actually threw them on the tray and threw them at me!!! I can’t believe this person actually has a job dealing with the public! Even his co workers were embarrassed! I told him I was going to write about him on Unilocal… I even waited for a couple of days hoping the humiliation I felt would lessen, it hasn’t! I WILLNEVER go back to any of their establishments… and we eat out almost every night! He really needs to lose his job and be replaced with someone who appreciates the ability to earn a living!

New York Cheese Burger W/New York Sauce is delicious. They also have unlimited soda, lemon water, and ingredients for your burger.

These burgers are really good. Taste fresh, made to order. A little on the pricey side, $ 14 for a Chelsea Burger and Fries, no drink. But it’s worth it! You can always find a place to sit. It’s a block away from the Highline.

My burger was fantastic. However, they forgot several items you need when staying in a hotel room.

Pros: — Unlimited soda fountain refills. — Large portions — Amazing selection of condiments — Gluten Free buns available. Cons: — Soggy, over-salted French fries. Every time. — Overpriced. A traditional meal is nearly $ 20! — Did I mention over-salted?

Great Burgers and good fries! Little more expensive than the average burger place but worth it!

Pretty solid burger place in Chelsea. It’s a bit pricey for what it is, but you do get a ton of options, the burger is cooked properly to order, and the fries are amazing. Hard to justify spending $ 19 for a burger and fries for lunch, but I’m sure I’ll still be back.

Not as good as Shake Shack, but decent. Waitstaff not overly friendly — or friendly at all. Paid $ 4.99 for a teeny tiny bowl of turkey chili and 2.49 for a lemonade last time. The lemonade was watery, I wouldn’t get that again. Overall, not a bad place if you need food fast, or delivered, but definitely not a destination.

Stopped by here for a quick burger before going out of town. The burger was alright. I liked how it was cooked to order, which is hard to find in quick service. However, the burger was very greasy and salty. Had the fries and asparagus as well with the same complaint. I was craving water for the next 12 hours.

Pretty normal burger place. Williamsburg prices. Its like a smaller version of shake shack. You can carry out or eat at the counter tables. Nothing special, but good place if your hungry, want a burger, and don’t want to go to a restaurant.

NY Burger Co. is like an upscale Shake Shack. When you order your burger, you even get to tell them how you want it cooked. What? Their menu consists of burgers named after different areas in NYC such as Chelsea, Flatiron, Soho, Tribeca, etc. I order the Chelsea which was a burger(you can choose Turkey or beef) with bacon, cheddar cheese, and 1000 Island dressing. I was a little hesitant on the dressing because I wouldn’t choose 1000 island on my salad let alone a burger, but I was pleasantly surprised. I also ordered the sweet potato fries. Another added bonus, NY Burger Co. has a large selection of condiments from basic ketchup to chipotle ranch(so good).

If you want a truly gourmet experience, this is not the place for you. But fret not! If you want to pay gourmet prices for mediocre food, this is just the place for you! $ 8 for a tiny cup of chicken noodle soup. The world has gone mad.

This place is awesome for an easy and inexpensive lunch. I love their mini burgers that you can get a small order of fries and a soda with for very cheap Get the Flatiron burger and Onion ring, its so much good when both are present on your table.

Similar thoughts as Morgan P below. I had a BareBurger last week and tried NYBC today. Good comparison. BareBurger: grass fed beef that’s nice but has little taste. NYBC: Angus burger off a grill with great taste. The special sauce on the Chelsea Burger was a great addition. BareBurger: more than $ 20 for burger, cheese, fries, iced tea. NYBC: less than $ 20 for the same. I plan to return to NYBC. Not so with BareBurger.

2 stars for having a happy hour on alcohol… Food has no flavor, had the spicy chicken sandwich was bland, onion rings could use some seasoning. Going to avoid this chain until they switch some things with their recipes…

Went from a very decent place to the worst burgers and fries in Chelsea. I used to order a lot from here, but advise everyone who values quality food from doing that. The staff could not care less about what they serve to the clients. The burgers are expensive and never cooked to order. The fries are uneatable.

Stopped by on a Saturday night after a movie and it was pretty dead, but it was rather late(10 pm). We ordered a double-patty burger and the black bean burger, with a side of fries. The cashier was not very pleasant and didn’t seem to be paying much attention to our order… and sure enough forgot to add the fries to our order. Seemed relatively dirty inside too, and there were definitely free hands to be cleaning. I don’t mean to be too critical, but cleanliness is a big one in my book, especially in a city like NY where you choices everywhere. Black bean burger was decent, and given it has avocado inside it saved the burger. Couldn’t really tell what sauce to put on it, but would say it is a little dry and would need some sort of sauce. Double-patty was good, but pretty big. These patties aren’t as small as you would see elsewhere, so are pretty filling. If you had to compare it to other burgers, I would say Five Guys, Shake Shack, and Umami Burger are MUCH better. If you want to pay 5 dollars or so more you can go a few blocks down to Empire Diner and get a true burger.

Here’s the most accurate review you will ever read: The burgers here are better than bare burger but right under Bobby Flays Burgers. It’s not better than 5 Guys & Shake Shack but it’s also a different style burger. Like a step up from your backyard BBQ. Lacking: Juiciness & Flavor, & Website Loving: All the Sauce options(NYSAUCE!) Sweet potato fries, bun & service. When you eat here, you know you’ve had a better Burger somewhere else before but it’s still good enough to continue eating and also reasonably priced for an NYC joint. I don’t think this place was to die for but it gets the job done.

For the neighborhood, this is an affordable and simultaneously lovely burger joint. I came in on a weekday afternoon around 3pm. There was no line and I was impressed by the atmosphere/décor and the variety in the menu. My friend and I both got burgers. I don’t remember what burger she ordered, but she also got fries. I got the Soho and indulged in a guilty pleasure, onion rings. Wowie zowies! The onion rings were fan-f&$!ing-tactic! There were not overly battered. They were fresh and crunchy. An absolute and pleasant surprise. The burger was also very good. Nothing out of this world but tasty and satisfied my burger craving. Lastly, I was impressed by the sauce bar. They have a section full of different sauces for your sides and entrees. There’s a pesto one that’s delicious and a spicy cream sauce that’s also enjoyable. If I’m ever in the hood and craving a burger, I will definitely return!

We seen this eatery during a tour of the city and HAD to try it. It surpassed any expectation we ever had of a burger joint. Clean, and the food is cooked well. The staff isn’t the friendliest but that doesn’t make or break a place for me. They had a nice food selection and it was very clean. Which is a deal breaker for me. They had an A on the door which means they passed their inspection. Also if you have any digestive disorder it is very easy in the stomach. Safe is the word I’d use.
