New York 88 Car Service & Limo

Just watched one of your drivers drive the wrong way down a street, speeding and on the block of a school!!! It was a dark gray mini van!!! The drivers need to be trained to drive and obey traffic laws!!! Someone couldve been seriously hurt!

Really bad experience, I called 3times car service from this company recently, they made me always lated for work at least half an hour, what the hell, I already told them like 30 mins early, but why always lated? always told me different reasons, I’m living in Bensonhurst, is that far to get to my house? so so many drivers are waiting on line around 8ave but no one prefer to come here, what s the fuckin policy? thats the way of ur company do for customers? People please dun call this company, always made u late, I won’t call damn 88 anymore …

Very iffy service.
First ride was perfect, after calling night before. On time, polite service midtown to JFK.
Called second time time few weeks later to schedule next morning to airport and was told ‘not sure about next morning’s available’ and should call again in morning. Nothing was available next morning at 8am. Odd way to run service.

Worst car service u can ever possibly call… The attitude from the 2 young guys who work the night shift is ridiculous. No paying customers should ever be treated with so much disrespect. 88 used to be my favorite car service but now I’d rather pay more somewhere else than to give them any more of my business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Got the number 212 260 6900 from a friend who used them many times before. They sent a big Toyota van for 2 adults and a baby and 2 big luggage. Came on time. Driver help me to load the luggages. He was very careful with the driving. Cost was $ 35 from lower Manhatten to JFK. It’s so so much better then the yellow cab from JFK to Penn station which cost twice the amount.

The car company is reliable but they have some bad apples in their lineup. Avoid CAR#189 at all cost. I was unfortunate enough to have him as my driver going back to brooklyn from JFK. The driver is a middle aged very traditional chinese man, It was a hot 80 degree summer night and he did not turn on the ac and was reluctant to do so when I asked, prob to save on fuel. I only had one luggage and he did not help load them when it came time to loading and unloading it from the car. What ultimately led me to write this review was he ran stop signs left and right because he was too preoccupied with his phone/​tablet looking for the next job. And to top it off he demanded a tip at the end. Just beware if the dispatcher gives u CAR#189 and ask for a different driver.

The driver is super nice! Reasonable price from Chelsea to JFK only $ 48. On time, great service and great price. I should have discover this company earlier.

Frist time call them from lower Manhattan to Jfk. they sent me a lexus Rx 350 and charged me $ 38.00, what a great car servicecompany in nyc ! I will use them again!

Driver showed up late for a ride to jfk. He was texting the entire time or playing with google maps, trying to figure out how to actually get there. The only positive was that it was $ 30.

Great and reliable car service company. I have been using them for all of my trips (Brooklyn to and from LGA/​JFK), the only thing I would say is that you should feel free to recommend your route if you are taking them from Manhattan to the airports during rush hours. Some of their drivers are new and they may not know what the best routes are.

Its ok, in between good and bad drivers, I dont have problem with them until today. We were two people with two small luggages (each of them less than 30lbs) traveled from brooklyn to chinatown, the operator told me $ 16, it wasnt take too long for the driver to come picking up, but soon he pulled over he saw our bags then he told me that I have to pay $ 5 extra because of the two bags (awww, man, we are two people whats wrong with the two bags) well, I didnt say anything tho, but I will definitely wont call them anymore, I think the extra 5 were going to drivers pocket!

I called to schedule a car to JFK for my early morning flight. Not only were they early, but the driver was super courteous and yes… it is only $ 30 to the airport. He was so great, no troubles I didn’t feel the need to break my other 20 and gave him a $ 10 tip. The car was nice on top of that — definitely glad I made the call.

I think people are too harsh on them in these reviews. 88 is a small business, and they are doing their best in keeping their low prices and serving their customers.
This is the best Chinese-​run car service company ever. They are based in Sunset Park, Brooklyn but they also have cars in Chinatown and Flushing. The dispatchers always sound friendly, the cars arrive on time, the drivers are nice, and the prices are cheap.
It’s hard to flag down a cab or call an Über when I know 88 can make the trip in ¾ the price.

I’ve taken this a handful of times (usually between home in Brooklyn and LES) with the most recent being from Brooklyn (Bensonhurst) to JFK at 4:45am (driver was on time and the ride was smooth) and then a pick-​up from JFK back home in the afternoon. Going to JFK from my area is $ 30 and being picked up from JFK is an extra $ 5.
Staff speaks Chinese and English, straight to the point and no frills. If you’re looking for something a little more luxurious or full-​package feeling, go elsewhere, but if if all you need is to get from point A to point B, 88 does the job.

This company originally quoted me for $ 31 from Brooklyn to Manhattan.
The cab driver arrived 5 minutes early, which is always good.
As I lugged my bags outside and into the trunk, cab driver shot me this «wow that’s a lot of shit» look, and did not offer any help nor lift a damn finger. Loaded all my bags and the last I had to get were my two small dogs, fit on my lap.
The driver gives me this whole attitude about «I did not know you had all this luggage and two dogs?!!»
I responded: «is there a problem?»
Driver goes: «no, but you need to notify the company prior.»
I said: «I have used your company numerous times before and never had a problem or complaint from the driver.»
Driver gets in the car, looked at where I was seated, and said «can you pick your dogs up from the seat, their butts are dirty, and sometimes I have have to drive high class customers»
The NERVE of this guy. Not stopping to his level, I decided to leave the «high class customers comment of his alone.» I merely responded: «my dogs are cleaner than some human beings.»
Driver gets in the car and made a call. He then got up and left his seat, goes outside to have his conversation. He did not excuse himself or anything, just walked out. How RUDE!!! I was sitting there, thinking, hello, people got places to be.
He comes back about 5 minutes later, and started to drive.
I informed him to drive carefully and try not to make any abrupt stops as I have two small dogs. He gave me an asshole response «I can’t help it if other cars suddenly come my way.» (Is he effin serious? All he could’ve said was «ok or I’ll try»)
One star — for the driver actually drove slowly and carefully. Both my dogs were fine and did not feel sick.
Arrived at my destination. Driver goes $ 41. I wonder why the price went up $ 10 and I wasn’t informed of the price increase prior to leaving. I argued with the driver and he basically said the «new quote» was sent over by the cab company, and I need to call the company to for any disputes. I called, spoke to the dumb dispatcher. She indicated «you didn’t tell us you have luggage» «oh and company policy, its $ 5 additional fee per pet». Company policy huh? what bullshit.
Mind you I have used this company numerous times before, had luggage, and a pet with me. NO problems, no additional charges… why the additional charges this time? is it for my luggages or for my pets? you tell me. Is this even legal?
To me, it just felt like the driver (named Mr. Sing Lin) being a greedy ass.
This company is on my shit list, and I will not be using your services ever again.

This is one of the best car service in Brooklyn way better than church Ave. It came in like 3 minutes and the driver is super friendly. This car actually doesn’t smell like shit for once. And it’s definitely cheap.

The normal cost is 40+
The drivers are always cool and smiley, speak English and actually social. They turn off their radios which def increase the ride quality. The cars are clean and specious. In the last 4 times I called em. They got me a mini van. In any case anyone whoes looking to get good car service should grab their number. They only reason it’s 4 stars. You gotta call 30 45 min in advance if you want to be on time.

You know the commonly cited statistic that says you’re like 10,000 times more likely to die in a crash on the way to the airport than you are likely to die in a plane wreck? I never felt how true that was until my trip to JFK this morning with these people. The horrible driver insisted on telling me about his life the whole trip, which would have been annoying enough at 4:40 a.m., but was terrifying when it involved him turning completely around while going 60, taking his eyes off the road and wildly gesticulating as the car zigged-​zagged between lanes. He shouldn’t be operating an RC car, much less a livery cab. 2 stars because they are very cheap.

Need a ride from the airport? to the airport? coming from a club? or a bar? whatever the need is, this car service is reliable, before going into any car service, make sure they have the T in the front of the license plate and a C at the end of the license plate, if they don’t, check the windows on the passenger side, there should be a sticker that says something similar to taxi limo service with a registration type number, otherwise, don’t go in. They have nice cars… once I rode to the airport in a lexus SUV, another time in a BMW 750i (always wanted to ride in one of those).

Great car service option if you’re in the Bklyn neck of the woods. A trip to the airport from Dyker Heights only cost me $ 30! That doesn’t mean that your trip will cost you $ 30 only, could be more or less, depends on the zip code.
They’ll send a regular car (could be minivan, SUV, etc w/​the 88 Car Service & Limo lettering), but it was clean and I did not mind it at all. If you’re specifically looking for a Lincoln sedan or other type of car, let ‘em know.
I am not sure if they accept credit card. They are Chinese-​owned so they may be cash-​only.
