My Saturday/​Sunday mornings (when I’m not working) consist of the following stops:
Ymca for a quick work out
Rush to this bodega to grab an egg and cheese
Rush home to eat then shower.
There is nothing like a solid cheap sandwich to fuel your day. The staff is really nice and it does seem genuine. The kid at the counter is a local celebrity and everyone walks in to say hello to him. My roommate says the coffee is good too but I’ve not had the chance to give it a try.
Give it a chance and you’ll be sure to enjoy!

This is the newest bodega on Bedford in Bed-​Stuy. They guys who work here are super nice, and very funny. I learn a new word in Arabic every time I come in, which is cool too. The food is solid — fresh and inexpensive. I’d go with a breakfast sandwich, but that’s just how I roll — bad bodega joke couldn’t help myself.
Come for the good, inexpensive food, and clean ambiance.
