I usually love the food here but chicken avocado sandwich was a miss — bread too hard, and very little chicken.

Nanoosh is a great little spot for a quick meal. It’s like a Mediterranean sit down version of Dig Inn. All the food is great and the staff is friendly. You’ll easily find food for the veggie lovers to meat lovers on this menu!

The chicken shawa wrap, at $ 13.75, is almost worth the price when everything else goes right. It’s really delicious. But lunch at Nanoosh always feels like a roll of the dice. Will this be one of those times the food comes really fast and the service is a almost friendly? Or will they rush me so much, barely wipe the table, and practically glare at me the whole time I’m here? Well this time, the waitress came over 40 minutes after we’d ordered our wraps, dismayed we hadn’t gotten our food, and then rushed out the saddest, coldest lunch plates I’ve seen so far in 2016. She presented them to us as if nothing was wrong, offering us a free lemonade for the wait. We declined. When I told a busboy the food was cold, he had them remade in about 90 seconds, which indicates that our original wraps were probably sitting somewhere for 38.5 minutes. The server never came over to clear things up or apologize. After we’d eaten, we sat with dirty plates pushed to the middle for another 5 – 10 minutes while I watched her check her phone and drink diet coke. She unceremoniously dropped the check, saying she only charged us for one wrap. Thanks?

My wife and I had two salads last night, she the tuna and I the lentil and avocado. My wife loved hers, but my salad came directly from the refrigerator and, for me, that diminishes the dish considerably. The service was incredibly nice, however, and even offered to take it back and bring me something else.

This is not a good hummus, and if you had a good one this is like McDonald’s, no offense. Falafel taste like chicken nuggets, again sorry for all the McDonald’s fans.

Dooood, stellar Med offerings at Nanoosh! We tried this place because it was one block from the friend’s apartment we stayed in on the upper west side and felt like we stumbled onto treasure! We tried to return the folliwng day but it was closed for the New Years holiday. Too bad! The inside has a neo-bistro feel. Close and nicely designed use of a small space. We chose not to sit in the middle of the long picnic table, but wait for a two-top or space at the bar. We both ordered Powerfood plates. I had the Red pepper Hummus with Mediterranean Beef, mushrooms and fresh feta. Delicious! Ingredients were fresh and everything tasty. If Nanoosh was near me, I’d be a regular!

The food here is both fresh, yet bland. They definitely use fresh and healthy ingridients, but the taste is lacking, and it is just not flavorful enough. I ordered the quinoa bowl with chicken and falafel, the portion is huge, and the sauces was great. The price is a bit on the expensive side, considering this is a takeout/lunch kind of place.

Very few places capture the taste of Mediterranean food. Nanoosh offers organic food presented with artistry. Aside from the protein choices, the menu includes vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. You can not go wrong with some of these options. The avocado and lentil salad looks and tastes delicious! The avocado, tomatoes, carrots, lentils, cucumbers, and chia seeds taste fresh. For a drink, the menu offers Virgil’s root beer and it pairs off well with the meal. The cold and warm neutral colors create a Mediterranean atmosphere. I love the use of lentils as part of the design scheme. The wood paneling sets up a relaxing and natural tone. The service rates an A+. I find the service quick, attentive and friendly. This is an ideal place to bring your date, meet with your friends, or take in a meal by yourself. Convenient to the AMC movie theater, and other stores, you can stroll down Broadway after your meal. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed.

Got the Chicken Shawa Hummus platter and Greek Salad for take out. Solid option for Hummus on the UWS just not blown away by it. Good flavors, just nothing that really stood out about it.

My baked hummus plate really did come with a LOT of hummus. The presentation is just darling. There are four small baked falafels centered in the middle which were pretty tasty. I was expecting more of a crunch, but the texture was pretty much the same throughout. Your order comes with hot pita, which is nice and ended up being very filling! I want to go back and try more of their dishes. Nice, casual spot for a no-frills bite that is quick and filling for those days when you don’t want anything complicated and your brain has been exhausted with too many other decisions. Consistent and dependable!

We really liked this place with my husband. It’s cozy and romantic yet modern and trendy. All the waiters seemed really professional and they were so kind and gentle! The service is quick and smooth, we got pretty soon what we ordered. We shared a large lentil soup(served with pita bread) with my husband which was truly amazing, but it is so thick that it is really filling and hearty in itself! I ordered a gluten free falafel wrap and the waiter immediately warned me that that pita for the soup contains gluten which I appreciated so much. The wrap was really good with a small side of quinoa. My husband had a quinoa bowl with extra eggs + shakshuka sauce on it with mushrooms and a little bit of leafy greens. It was delicious as well. I loved Nanoosh so I honestly can recommend it!

I love Middle Eastern food. If I lived or worked in NYC I would eat here all of the time. The food was fresh, tasty and healthy. I loved everything we ordered. The bread, hummus, chicken… you can’t go wrong!

They are very friendly and have a great service. The food was ok. The Moroccan soup was good but kinda heavy. Butternut squash soup not very tangy. Chicken avocado sandwich was ok too much bread. The Mediterranean beef was very good was mainly hummus. Their pita bread was very good, fresh and warm. We also tried there falafel, and was a failure! No flavor at all. They baked it not fried maybe that’s why!

Not being a hummus fan, a lot of the charms of this place are lost on me. It’s a modern yet warm dining space with large shared tables and a friendly team working there. Plus whimsical touches like chickpea-adorned light fixtures. They even get a shoutout for honoring my special request of ordering one of their signature menu items«plain Jane» fashion with no hummus included, and not even scoffing at me *too* much. My main beef is with the price — because paying $ 14 for a wrap that basically just contained chicken and lettuce is nutso. Possibly perceived as a better deal for you hummus loving peeps out there, but I had some major sticker shock going on.

Actually one of the best Falafel/Mediterranean places. It’s not fancy, it’s not super gourmet but it’s delicious. The farro with mushrooms it’s a must and they have a red pepper hummus that kills it. You can order the powerfood platter that comes with everything you want. The Falafel is a great choice and you can add the tahini sauce that goes along with it. All that in top of the amazing Farro and mushroom mix. Their quinoa is also very good but more on the sweet side since it has cranberries and other nuts. Warm pita and good sauces complete the whole dish. Communal seating but you also have individual tables. Inexpensive and healthy.

Baked falafel was a bit dry and reminded me of if i had tried to make falafel with quinoa. I can appreciate the attempt to keep it healthier, but I should have gone with the chicken schwarma. Presentation was beautiful, pita was fresh and thick. Regular hummus very good, it is more on the tahini side. I love mediterranean, would come back to try something different

Nanoosh, it’s been a minute. Back when I was a fledgling Manhattanite in 2009 and 2010, I partook in many Nanoosh lunches at its old location on 1st and 68th.(The Lenny’s that’s there now just isn’t the same…) I remember visiting this UWS location once back in 2010 before heading see«Aida» at Lincoln Center, but it’s so rare that I eat in that neighborhood. The options(The Smith, P.J. Clarke’s, et al) are all too pricy and /or mediocre. When a friend wanted to grab a quick dinner on a rainy night before going to a movie at Loews Lincoln Square… I was like, «…shoot.» I almost suggesting that we eat at home before meeting up, I recalled Nanoosh, and it was a bit of a lifesaver. This was my first sit-down dinner at any Nanoosh, but it was certainly fresh and satiating. The menu has seemingly expanded since the last time I’ve been to a Nanoosh location, with multiple wraps, salads, and sandwich platters compared to past offerings. I went for the sandwich with labneh, and it was delicious, though sorely lacking in labneh. I wanted to bite into it and have it be like a bagel with good cream cheese. It was more of a schmear. Too bad, because it was wonderful labneh. Their Mediterranean Salad is still wonderful, fresh with tomatoes, cucumbers, and parsley. My friend’s salad looked great, though a little plain. The hearts of palm was a nice meaty addition. In this immediate area of the neighborhood, when time and menu prices are issues, I’d gladly plunk myself back here. It’s affordable, good, and relatively fast. We got to our move in ample time.(Granted, «Jurassic World» was sold out, to our chagrin, but, I digress…)

You would have to work hard to make me care little about mediterranean food. Well, you wouldn’t have to work hard if you were Nanoosh. They made me care about it not at all.
A Meditteranaen Tuna Salad had no taste of mediterranean food. This opinion was seconded by my dining partner who unwisely ordered the same thing as me. The tuna is not whole and fresh but rather, canned, which is not a problem. The problem is that the whole thing was tasteless. Ample yes, flavor no. No greek olives, no feta, no tahini, no hummus. Just a salad with some tuna in it and I really couldn’t tell you what else for it had no taste whatsoever. Walk on by. There’s far better lunch places in Manhattan.

Nanoosh is a nice place for lunch or to pick-up something to go. Salads are fresh and they offers a nice grapefruit dressing. There hummus offerings are great. I’m a fan of the hummus with mushrooms. When I’m in the area I’ll be back.

We arrived here for a late dinner, after strolling for quite some time through New York streets. The place was empty and promised«organic food». After debating between the lentil soup and/or the falafel wrap, I had the tabbouleh salad and was okay, just okay. Nothing spectacular. My travel companions had the chicken wraps and the lentil soup. No one raved about this place. No one despised it either. We just walk out a continued enjoying this amazing city.
