Pizza is great. Very healthy. Staff is always in the back chatting or playing video games. Obnoxious staff. They look bored instead of taking care of customers. Lunch special is great.

WHYDOESTHEGOODSTUFFNOTLASTLONG? Ugh, I was bragging to a friend about this place that is filled of oooey goodness, and everything healthy packed in it. Coming a cool lil box, as you sit and dine in high chairs in the window. You could build the pizza your way, picking your own kind of cheese and toppings, and serving size! was awesome, im sad that i took him all the way there to see its been replaced with another business!

Sadly is now closed. While it was open, was a tasty source of good, wholesome pizza loaded with all sorts of fun toppings(pineapple!). Only criticism I’d have is the price — $ 15 for a three-topping 12″ pizza is obscene, even by Manhattan standards! Will miss it. Thanks for the memories.

I stumbled in here about two weeks ago with a friend. Naked pizza has always been a tempting enticement because they claim that they make ‘healthy pizza’. It’s also always seemed like over-priced b.s. to me as well. But I was surprised with how tasty their cheesy breadsticks actually are. Their dough is allegedly probiotic and helps with digestive relief. Also, great for a diabetic diet which is super for me because I both have high sugar levels and a messed up digestive tract. Though, I do have to say the breadsticks made me feel more full than I would have felt with eating normal pizza I think. Minus the disgusting feeling after the fact. The cheese is natural mozzarella and cheddar and part skim milk and really pretty tasty. The marinara was fresh tasting and not loaded down with msg and fructose but I don’t think my friend particularly liked it so she asked for their garlic white sauce which turned out to be just olive oil and garlic mixed together. All in all, I probably won’t come back but its great to know I can get a moderately healthy drunk snack that deceivingly masks as an unhealthy one.

Came here yesterday with a friend after having one too many glasses of wine as a Unilocal event. I wasn’t staaaaaaarving, but I most definitely had a case of the«wine munchies». I walked by and I’ve seen the ‘Naked Pizza’ near St. Mark’s/Union Square and all of a sudden I had a hankering to try this place out, especially when I read out front that it was«simply the world’s healthiest pizza». How could one refuse? Naked Pizza offers some pretty interesting pies and does not sell anything by the slice. Each pizza is made fresh to order and there are no examples or photos so you’re pretty much ordering at your own peril. Then again your«peril» will include completely all-natural meats and the dough, sauce & cheese are free of additives, preservatives, colorants, or chemicals of any kind. Their proprietary crust recipe contains 12 whole grains, nuts, and roots. It is fortified with prebiotics – a high-grade fiber – as well as heat-resistant probiotics, which are healthy bacteria similar to those found in yogurt. That mixture of multi-grain flours and whole grains increases the levels of plant proteins in the crust. Adding to the healthy factor on the menu is the cheese which is apparently made with part skim milk. HOORAYFORSKIMMILK!!!(I’m a weirdo, rest assure that I already know). Each pie comes in small, medium, large — small being a 10′ personal pie, medium being your standard 16′ and I forgot how many inches large was… probably 20′ or something in that range. I remember thinking the price for a small was okay, but the medium and large pies were definitely a but pricer than your average pizza… and I’m talking about regular pizzeria prices, not fast food pizza like Dominos or(gross and disgusting) Papa John’s. We went with their«Cheesy Bayou Breadstix» which use the same whole-grain dough used for their pizza and it’s then loaded with their blend of mozzarella cheese and herbs and served with their marinara sauce. The dough was a bit chewier and weirdly sweeter than I prefer, but to say it was bad would feel wrong. It was interesting and interesting isn’t always bad. The cheese was enjoyable and not salty like some pizza places and the herb seasoning was an added plus. The marinara sauce was bland to me and I asked for a little bit of their garlic-infused white sauce to use a dip and what I got was a garlic-infused oil that they refer to as «white sauce». It was tasty though and I kept going back and forth between that and the marinara sauce(which my friend scarfed down). Over all their breadsticks weren’t bad, it was a pretty huge serving that could be used as a full meal between 2 people or as a generous snack between 3 or 4. The breadsticks were $ 5.99 and totally worth it giving the portion and overall quality. I’ll probably never have a pizza here to be honest unless it’s a personal pie shared with someone, but I would totally do the breadsticks again.

I went on their one year anniversary & received thirty percent off, and also used a groupon, so a large pizza ended up costing about $ 3. It was worth more than that, but not by much. Being vegan, it’s nice that Naked Pizza offers a vegan cheese alternative(they use Daiya). And the original crust was delicious, though a little chewier and less crispy than I prefer. If I go again, which is unlikely, I’ll try the thin crust. The pizza I ordered had a lot of toppings and most of them seemed canned or of poor quality. If this chain wants to be the healthy alternative to regular pizza, they need fresh ingredients to go with what is a good crust and decent red sauce. Overall, unless you live near a Naked Pizza and have a groupon to cut the price in half, it’s not worth frequenting.

I am planning to rate this nice and simple, because I feel this place have nothing to give high praises about. I feel this place is too hyped for no reason. They claim they are very healthy on the stuff they use, but I felt is a marketing ploy. The pizza is simply plain and not tasty at all. Eating a slice in a normal shop will cost me $ 1 to $ 2.49 versus«Naked» will cost me $ 13. I rather eat at the other location. If I need something healthy to keep away from fast food, I rather buy a grilled chicken salad elsewhere. Think about it, they tell us they use stuff that avoid us gaining weight, but selling only pies

I decided to try Naked Pizza since a lot of my coworkers seemed to rave about it, but I was not impressed. Although the Naked Pizza employees are friendly and try to help you make your decision, they kept asking me a million questions since I was the only customer at an early lunch hour instead of letting me read everything on the menu in silence! It was super annoying. I understand that they’re trying to be nice and offer suggestions on what I’d might like, but stay out of my personal space, and give me time to decide on what I want. I ended up ordering a 10″ superbiotic pizza(artichoke, spinach, bell pepper, mushroom, garlic) without red onion or cilantro because I absolutely hate onions and cilantro, but I added chicken for some protein. When I brought it back to my office to eat, I still tasted onions and cilantro on the pizza. That obviously tarnished my first impression of Naked Pizza. I do like the fact that it was a thin crust pizza, but it was about $ 15 for a pizza that wasn’t filling at all! I ate the whole pie and was still starving. I probably won’t ever return here. You don’t get enough for what you pay for, and the pizza is nothing special. If it was actually filling, then that would be another story.

Tried their lunch special today: $ 8 for a 10″ pizza with two toppings + a free drink. It was kind of weird ordering pizza in what looked more to be an Apple store than a pizza shop, but the staff was nice, and the menu options on the wall were easy to understand. I decided to go for a spinach and mushroom pie and a bottle of GuS ginger ale. Had to wait about ten minutes since they do make these pizzas fresh, which I do appreciate. However, with all the love and fresh ingredients they apparently put into their pizzas, it unfortunately didn’t translate into delicious food. I didn’t love the crust, though it did taste like consistency of fresh soft bread – which I wouldn’t mind if I were eating it with some butter. Was a little too chewy/soft for my taste, since I like my crust thinner and with some bite. I also found the taste of the pizza to be pretty bland, which was disappointing but not surprising, considering that everything is apparently organic /macrobiotic /preservative-free. The staff was nice enough to offer me packets of crushed red pepper and grated parmesan cheese, which I had to dump on my pizza to give it some flavor. But – I don’t think the parmesan cheese was organic, macrobiotic or preservative-free so that pretty much made my meal completely moot. The lunch special was still a great deal, and I got a pretty wholesome(albeit bland) meal out of it. Would not revisit, except that I’m stuck with a $ 15 for $ 30 coupon from Gilt and it was too much for me to use for lunch so I have to go back again another time.

I’m still trying to figure out this place’s identity two days later! I noticed when it opened, probably a month ago now, and thought the sign was rather gimmicky for a pizza place. I can’t explain why. Anyway, L training it into USQ recently, I was in desperate need of food, and wanted to try something new. Ok, I’ll stop in for a slice. $ 15 later, I have a receipt for a superbiotic. I admire the marketing that it takes to turn cheesy pizza into a seemingly healthy macrobiotic treat. Ok, maybe they just thought the word«biotic» would lure someone in. Well I’m here, I want to try it. I’m at a loss for why I can’t buy a slice or why there are no slices to see. The guy behind the counter explains that is because every pizza is made fresh. Ok, but I still wanna see something! Sight unseen I order this thing, wondering why trying something new has to mean $ 15 for takeout. LOL Eventually my personal pizza comes out, and I put down 1Q84 for a moment to take a look. Pop open the box, and yes indeed it is quite fresh. Nice ingredients. I have a taste, and it is quite tasty. Very good pizza to be sure. Artichoke, spinach, bell peppers, mushrooms, garlic, red onion & cilantro. Yes I like cilantro! Suddenly my hankering for a «little snack» becomes an all out feast for six small slices of this pizza. Yes I devour it. Yes I’m smiling. This place is what you call a concept store I guess, complete with ipad terminals if you would rather order without waiting in line. When I got here though the place was completely empty. Who knows maybe it will catch on, but I’m not really sure. I guess New Yorkers always need a new twist on an old formula.

After passing by several times on the way to Home Depot, I decided to give Naked Pizza a shot. Took advantage of their online ordering system(with a 20% discount: FIBER) and my coworker and I were surprised that their ETA was 15 minutes! Naked Pizza certainly does really tout their use of fresh, macro/pro/pre-biotic ingredients and it definitely is more expensive relative to the $ 1 slices you can now find in NYC but how does it taste? I was eager to find out. Actually, it was pretty good. One can certainly taste the freshness of the ingredients and toppings. The dough is a bit quirky, but in a good way. It’s made with several types of grains and it has an interesting taste and texture. I was pleasantly surprised. Am I healthier for it? The jury’s still out on that one but right now, I’m fan. I’m not sure if this is the best pizza I’ve ever had and it is a bit pricey for sure but from now on, I’ll be sure to list Naked Pizza as a contender whenever the craving strikes.

Save yourself some time and don’t order for delivery… We live on 45, 35 mins after order they called back and said their cutoff was 47st, so the delivery guy did not want to take the extra step…

Ordered from Naked after getting their very glam flier in the mail and decided to give it a shot. I got the 12″ gluten free pizza with 3 veggie toppings and chicken. Pizza was veryyyy tasty! It promptly arrived via Seamless web and the delivery guy was very nice. However, the pricepoint is a bit steep. The pizza itself was $ 16.75 so after tax, delivery fee, and tip, it came out to 21.74, very high for a medium sized pizza in my opinion. Granted if you go pick up the pizza you’ll save delivery fee and tip(~$ 3 – 4). Recommended for health-conscious, pizza-loving, ballin’ outta control people.

Small place best for take out. Too many innuendos. I get it. Naked! It means without clothes! Hahahaha… ha. Anyway, the food isn’t bad. The crust is chewy; a bit on the sweet side. The toppings, for the amount they give you, are overpriced. $ 1.60 for onions? And only about six tiny slices. I would eat again, if somebody else paid for the toppings. :P

Walked by & saw this new, modern pizzeria. Saw that they had a GLUTEN-FREE option so we tried it. We paid $ 16 for a 12″ gluten-free pie(the only size gf crust comes in) w/choice of sauce &3 vege toppings(extra for meat toppings). Friendly staff! Took it to go and it was still nice and warm when we got home to enjoy our crispy & flavorful GLUTEN-FREE pizza! Only thing is they only do pies, no slices. Will return!

How many«naked», pseudo-sexual innuendos can you handle on your lunch break? My threshold is apparently very low. I was getting annoyed by the cashier and her peppy delivery of said innuendos. It’s really not necessary. But the pizza was really good. I chose a small cheese pizza with bbq sauce, onion, and chicken(essentially a bbq chicken pizza, but making your own is about $ 3 cheaper than buying it off the menu) and it came out to around $ 10. I will come back sometime when I’m looking to indulge again… it’s definitely one of the best lunch options in the neighborhood I would say.

This Naked Pizza opened in NYC recently. It’s a take-out or delivery type of place as their isn’t really any seating at the store. Their tagline is that they serve«all-natural pizza you can smile about.» Their Ancestral Blend pizza crust is made of 10 grains and all this probiotic stuff that you can read about on their website. Their menu is structured so you can either choose one of their signature favs(like their Superbiotic pie which has a bunch of veggies on it or their Smokehouse pie which is their version of BBQ chicken pizza) or you can pick your dough, sauce, and toppings a la carte. The Omnivore(basically, a meat lover’s pie) was pretty oil so I had a lot of blotting action going on. I liked the mushroom pie we got with the skinny Ancestral Blend crust a bit better. They have their marketing platform down… free Naked wristbands and temporary tattoos for patrons to take away with them and informative pamphlets I see workers passing out that explain what Naked Pizza is all about. First time I stopped in, it seemed a little bit crazy though. There were a gazillion people working in a tiny, tiny store. Maybe most of them were delivery guys? Seemed pretty hectic though, even though there were only a few customers in the store. They had some technical difficulties trying to get our credit card to work, but I guess they’re just figuring out all the kinks at this point. Anyway, the people are upbeat and super friendly.
