Naina Threading

The lady who appears to be the owner is really good at what she does. A bit painful but I love how she does my brows. However, there is another younger lady there who tried to up sell me and seemed annoyed and bummed out when I presented my card for a free eyebrow. Come on, it’s $ 6 so you’re not losing much! It’s so close to home, so I’ll still come here from time to time but I might just make the trip over to Queens Beauty Parlor every now and then…

Naina Threading is a small salon storefront with about three chairs. Two ladies are on duty to tame your brows (or lips/​cheeks/​etc). They also do facials. I didn’t have to wait to be seen, but there was a waiting line when I got up to leave — but since most procedures are less than 10 minutes, you shouldn’t have to wait long most of the time.
The place is clean and well lit with big mirrors. The service is perfunctory but nice, and after all, brows are only $ 5. They also are good about not making your brows super thin — mine were just the right width and a natural shape. I also got a nice brow massage after all the plucking.
I’m happy with my brows, but noticed a little more sensitivity when she was done. It wasn’t until a day later that I noticed I have two scratches on my lids! No wonder my eyes felt so sore! The scratches are both linear and in the same place on both eye lids. They scabbed this morning and are noticeable enough that I actually had to apply concealer. Dislike. Sorry. Won’t be back.

Bimla is amazing. She has never made a mistake. My brows always come out so nice. One of them naturally arches more than the other but she somehow manages to even them out so they look the same. I’ve also gotten my whole face done. Even though I have really light hair she still makes a nice hairline. She’s also very thorough with my upper lip, definitely no hair left afterwards. If I could give more stars I would because Naina Threading is a perfect 10!!!

They’re a brand new salon, very neat with great prices. I had my eyebrows done and was very satisfied, will return as it’s closer to my home than the other one on Steinway by Broadway.
They also gave me a card that gives me a free eyebrow threading after the 6^th time!
It seems like the hours on Unilocal are not accurate, they are also open Sundays 10am –8pm which is super convenient.
