Nail Box

I come here once in a while. I used to not really like how they did my nails back then. But now there seems to be new professional employees which provide great service! I always get the $ 25 spa pedicure & I HIGHLY recommend Lily. She takes great care of me and better yet she’s a sweetheart & makes you feel great plus she gives great massages! :)

They took my wife’s gel tips off with a metro card due to impatience and poor technique/​training. Rather than let her nails soak and alowly file away the gel, the proceeded to soak for barely five minutes and then «pop» off the tip by using a metro card edge. Regardless of how cheap their mon-​wed deals are, she will not be returning here at all.

Worse place ever I got a full acrylic set with gel polish and my nails started to come off in 5 days when I went back and told her I had 2 nails missing witching 5 days she claimed my nails looked like I was there 2 weeks ago that’s how bad they were lifting and I showed her my credit card receipt that I was there 5 days ago and still wanted to charge me… It wasn’t about the money just how Bad it is in there they really don’t know what they’re doing in there place needs to be shut down def try pink nails on the same block much better service and they know what they’re doing…

I’ve been getting my nails done here for over a year only because I wanted to stay local and every other nail salon in the area SUCKED! The Nail Box doesn’t provide good customer service. Situation #1: On a crowded Saturday afternoon (only 3 technicians normally; sometimes 4 max) my technician was supposed to give me a gel manicure, but instead she thought she could quickly file my nails with the electronic nail file and send me to wash my hands. When I returned, she thought she was going to apply my polish w/​o giving me a FULL manicure (soaking cuticles, cutting cuticles and filing) REALLY?
I asked her about completing my manicure and she hesitantly got up to get a bowl so I can soak my cuticles, then she continued my nails!!! That’s just one incident! The icing on the cake was last week. their credit card machine was broken and they told me right before they began to apply my polish. which pissed me off. a sign on the door wouldve been helpful… so ok they directed me to the bank across the street… I went to withdraw money and when I exited the bank, to my SURPRISE! The Nail technician was standing outside the nail salon looking into the bank at me… I was LIVID! What an insult! I had some choice words for ALL OF THEM! That was my final visit… DO NOT PATRON this hole in the wall.#LONGWAIT #LACKOFSUPPLIES #NOTENOUGHTECHNICIANS

I always get the acrylic French and my nails last forever

Had a absolutely terrible experience. Went and got a full set of tips, the white and pink powder. After 2 days they started to lift. Went back and they were gonna glue them down. I told them that was unexceptable. They did a fill In and now a week later 1 is broken and I bent so far it is All bloody. I will never go back there again. They did a absolutely horrible job!

I live close to here, and it’s a great local nail salon. Also, right now they have a special promotion for the winter — $ 11 for a mini mani/​pedi. By mini, they just mean that they spend less time on the massage and scrubbing, but that’s fine w/​me. Can’t beat that price!
I agree with the other reviewer about the ambiance — it’s kinda dull and boring inside, although the last few times I went, they had music. But what I’m looking for is a good mani/​pedi with good service at a good price, so I can deal with that.
