A lot of people in the neighborhood come here. I don’t know what the appeal is. The combo meals are kinda cheap, but some other places down the street are cheaper. They must have good chicken cuz I always see it roasting in the window, but our dumb asses got the pernil instead. Foolish. It was dry and tasted like cardboard. If you’re starving and on the brink of death. Yeah sure, come eat here. If not, you can skip the Valley and get yourself a TV dinner from Fairway instead.

OMG! The CHICKEN!!! I travel all the way from the Bronx for this damn chicken. The rotisserie chicken is seriously the best I’ve had in the city. The skin is PERFECTLY crispy and looks almost caramelized. The tiny mojito sauce that comes with it packs SOMUCHFLAVOR in that tiny cup wow! I mean seriously delicious. If you’re nearby, GETCHICKEN lol!

Their family dinner packages are great. The chicken is great. We love their rice and beans. It comes with a chopped salad that we don’t usually eat.

The food is amazing. It’s truely genuine spanish food. I will definately eat there again. Yet, be alert about the cost and scheme of the waitresses. Not sure about the intergraty of the place. We ordered a delicious steak combo, which should have been $ 20.00, however the waitress indicated that she gave us that combo order plus half and charged $ 30.00 instead. Only problem was, we only got a single combo order.

First of all be prepared to have a hard time ordering if you don’t speak Spanish… 2, never order over the phone because they will give you the dried up pieces that they won’t dare serve to people that are dining in because it will definitely be sent back. Onto the food… it’s okay. The best thing they have is there rotisserie chicken and mofongo. I like their pulled pork but I always order over the phone and get 65% caramelized inedible pieces of fat.

I dont understand why dont they have someone. That could take your order in English. Ok I do understand this a Dominican Restaurant but hello Not everyone speaks English. They need to accommodate both people who speak English As we have done for them…

This establishment must be under new management or something, because a few months ago, I swore I would NEVER return! What can I say?, I was craving good old home-cooked style Dominican food, and decided to give them another shot. I had my food delivered this time around, and it was delivered in less than 20 minutes. Phone service was very friendly, and my food came piping hot and tasty! You also can’t beat over 10 varieties of family combos for only $ 20. They feed up to 4 people!

This place has some really tasty typical Dominican food for a great price. The waiters are very attentive and overall, I recommend it.

We ordered the family order of chicharon de pollo, white rice, beans, maduros, salad, and 2 liter of soda for $ 20. You can’t go wrong. Our waitress was super nice. We didn’t wait long for our food and it was really good. I gave it 4 stars because it was missing just a tad bit more flavor. Overall, I was very satisfied.

Best deep fried pork I ever ate: I took one bite and was transported to fried pork heaven! And the roasted marinated chicken with vinegar was delicious!!! $ 20 and it fed my family of 4 with a lot of leftovers!

I usually order from this place because it’s near by and the food is not bad. Unfortunately now and then I have had some bad experiences, with customer service, like today. Several times I have had placed phone orders and I always ask what’s available for the day, a few times they have sent something I haven’t order, or like today the order didn’t come at all. After not receiving it after an hour, I decided to call, the person I spoke said it has departed. Please note that I live close by, after another 15’m called again and they informed me what I ordered wasn’t available. Gave 3 stars because food is not bad. Not sure I’ll order from there again.

My first bad review. My boyfriend ordered steak which is $ 12.50 because it comes with rice and beans but he specifically said a large rice instead and tostones on the side. The delivery guy got here and we noticed the rice was missing. We were charged $ 16.50 in total(a dollar extra I don’t know why) he called back and guy insisted that he didn’t order the large rice –_– mind you he repeated it back to him when he was taking the order and to top it off he was charging an extra $ 7 for rice! He insisted and we got upset so we told him we’d go back to return it. Even lost my appetite. Never again.

One word– yum! Although I have never went to the restaurant itself, I have ordered from here multiple times. I’ve always ordered the chicken with white rice and beans so i am not sure how the other food is, but from what I’ve eaten, it is delicious. Tender chicken, not overcooked, with great rice and beans(not sure how you could go wrong with making rice, but I don’t doubt it’s possible). My only dislike is the slow delivery. It is definitely worth a try.

I ordered their Pork Chicharrones meal and it is very good! My friend had their chicken and I had a bite and it was very tasty with their special vinegar sauce that comes with it. The wait was a little intimidating since I don’t speak the same language and it was busy, but it was worth the wait.

They don’t listen to instructions. I ordered the maduros on the phone only if they were very ripe. I spoke to the manager for this and they STILL were hard, dry and on the greenish side of ripe. I called and Edson(the manager) he said that he would send the a good batch over. No one ever showed up that so night I called the next day and ask for a refund. I told them that I’d be in for the night so they could just send somebody when they had another delivery near me(I live 2.5 blocks away so I thought I was being really considerate). Stood up again that night! We did this until I gave up after a few days. This was my third order with them and the first time they sent the wrong cake so I didn’t think it was a big deal.

If I could just write the review and give no stars I would. This place is right across the street from my bf home. We tried to give this place our business on several occassions and today was literally the last straw. Saying that delivery time was an issue would be putting it mildly. The attitudes and just complete and utter disregard for people trying to give them business and money is just shocking. The food is mediocre and. not worth ever trying again. Order from Caridad on 145th better food, better service, just better to spend your money and hey … you get to actually get your food when you order from Caridad.

Just come in to town to help family move and couldn’t leave without trying a new culinary venue. Hell I’m in NYC! had the pollo de ajillo and I still dream of this dish almost daily. Pissed I didn’t multiple my order and ran out of it before we left the state! First place I will return to next trip. Yes you have to give attitude to get service but I’m a chef and a Texan, we always make our presence known. So getting food fast was not a problem. Cheap and flavorful. You’ll love the real vibe and freshness of this place.

Delivery is the only option with these people. Delivery is the only thing worth mentioning. The food is classic«comida criolla» In person they will be ridiculous — super ghetto dominican fashion, dancing, talking to friends, each other, watching tv, yelling, totally unprofessional. «actuando estudipo» But they know how to cook! With so many places in the area, few have little patience for their tacky shenanigans. Theyre close, quality and cheap. No one speaks english.-I speak spanish. I’ll order for my friends but this is a diverse area… They’ve never made my anglo or american friends feel comfortable nor welcome, by ignoring them and speaking spanish only to people they know. You must be bossy & assertive to get their attention. Look around, see how every one else gets served. Being that im paying, Im not always in the mood for the game. Politeness will have you standing there ignored or you’ll walk out like many including myself have done due to neglect. Good cheap food, is plenty and frequent around here. So go elsewhere or just get delivery. They actually deliver pretty fast. And the place itself has a crappy hole in the wall appearance anyway
