Modulus Music Studios

Modulus is a gem in the middle of the city. They have affordable rates and are very accommodating with the needs of my band. They have various room sizes that will give you the feel for different performance venues and a ton of high end boutique amps! Highly recommend.

I like this place. Nice, clean rooms with decent selection of amps. They have drums, keyboards, mics, everything you need. Even little things to buy/​rent if you forget anything.

Modulus is a great place to rehearse for many reasons. It’s centrally located so that if you have bandmates that live and work all over the city, as I do, we can all find a middle ground in midtown.
They have plenty of rooms of different sizes and book in advance if you want, so you can guarantee a space. I’ve been to other studios where the equipment is really shot and not always taken care of, but this is not the case at Modulus. The sound quality is great and the sound proofing is pretty decent too. Other studios sometimes feel like a thin wall where you might as well all be practicing in a hall.
We’ve never had issues with cleanliness either, which says a lot for a practice space. Sometimes studio bathrooms are about as bad as the dingiest dives, but they’re fine at Modulus.
There are definitely cheaper studios, but this one is convenient in location and space. I’d recommend it.
