DM Milton(Gyn) — office The office representatives are useless and unprofessional !!! So.here I am with my the very simple request: «Do they accept my insurance or not?». Office 2127457727. So I called them 4 times(last week and today) just to get the simplest answer Y or N. Instead they just took my info again. promised to call me back. And then nothing! I just keep calling them but they r useless. Its such a waste of time. it is frustrating! Very very very disappointed with the office staff. Didn’t even have a chance to meet a Doctor! Thank you for nothing.

Dr. Haynes is an excellent practitioner, and I’ve never had any problems with his office staff. I appreciate that he does an old fashioned consultation in his office before and after the exam to talk with you and really listen to any concerns you may have and fully answer any questions. That’s much better than a doctor rushing into the exam room, talking to you for a few seconds, and then disappearing, leaving you to find the front desk alone for check out. I’ve been seeing him for about a year and have no complaints! Oh, and the office moved– it’s now at 342 E 77th St. between 2nd and 1st.

I won’t speak to the medical ability of the doctor, because his office is run so incompetently that I ended up canceling my appointment after my initial exam. I went in for an annual exam and to get an IUD. Red flags shot up when he had his secretary contact me to ask me which kind of IUD to get instead of speaking to me himself. She wouldn’t discuss the differences between the types of devices or the side effects, and instead rushed me to «just pick one, they’re basically the same.» I found out later that no, they’re not. I had major misgivings, but decided against my better judgment to go with it. One month later, the day before my appointment to get the IUD, I called his office to confirm my appointment and the secretary informed me that she had forgotten to order my IUD so I would have to wait another month to get the procedure. Red flag! I was still reluctant to go to a different doctor, since I would then have to pay out of pocket for a new exam, so I rescheduled. Finally, two months after my initial appointment, I was ready for my appointment the next afternoon. The phone rings — it’s the doctor’s office. Sigh. This time, the doctor himself got on the phone: my insurance doesn’t pay him as much as he wants for the procedure, so he decided that he won’t do it. He could have figured that out TWOMONTHSAGO, of course, because my insurance company will happily give out reimbursement information, but he decided to wait until the day before to complain that he wasn’t being paid enough. To be honest, I would have been completely willing to pay the difference, but by that time I was so disgusted at how disorganized and unprofessional his office was that I was happy to have an excuse to cut and run. In the end, I’m glad that all I suffered was a waste of time. I will happily pay out of pocket to get a second exam just so that I can see a different doctor who I will feel comfortable with.
