They came to our office via Fooda. The menu looked good and everything was reasonably priced. For $ 9, I got two sliders and a side(you could also get tacos instead). I had the falafel slider and the pulled pork. The pulled pork was the better of the two, especially with the slaw on top. I got rice and beans on the side, and they weren’t great. Just black beans with some lightly seasoned rice.

Terrible. Not the food necessarily, as I never had a chance to sample it. I contacted Mike N Willie’s for a catering opportunity for about 70 people. Granted I called last minute, but Mr. Mike, or whomever is in charge, said he’d be happy to do it and guaranteed he would be at my location with his truck. Um, yea, never showed up. Had one missed call from him with no voicemail and after 17 attempts to contact him in the morning to confirm, we had to find someone else half way into the time he was suppose to be there. Wouldn’t give this truck the time of day. And by the looks of the rest of the reviews on his food, we were better off any way.

They are thieves. Hired for a private party never showed and never gave back deposit. How could a business do this to a customer?

I actually really like this food truck a lot. I ordered the fish taco and the short rib taco. Both were really good and topped with delicious flavor. Love the habenero plum sauce. Coleslaw topped on the short rib was delish, I highly recommend!

I’ve seen their truck a few times down by FiDi and decided to give it a shot today… I regret doing so. I ordered a rice bowl with lime chicken. The chicken tasted extremely bland even with the sauce plus I felt the rice had been reheated a few times. Sadly, I ended up throwing out my lunch. Maybe it was an off day but I can’t see myself trying their food again.

I was recently in central park and came across a food truck I got the brisket slider and it was delicious. I would def recommend the food from here.

So my coworker and I walked to this truck on our lunch break and were seduced by the seemingly delicious food offerings and reasonable prices. We left feeling full, but extremely unsatisfied. The big bad brisket is indeed just that – bad. It was completely flavorless! I ordered the brisket burrito which was chock-full of what should have been delicious rice, beans, brisket, and chipotle sauce; but I instead bit into a bundled bland mush of soggy foodstuffs. At least add salt and pepper, guys. I don’t even think the chipotle sauce was in there… My friend ordered a chicken taco which she described as «cold, cheeseless disappointment» and a brisket slider(equally cold and disappointing.) Skip this one, guys.

They have potential. for starters, they take credit cards, and give you a real receipt. The food sounds better than it actually is. They need to work on that. Service was quick. I really wanted them to be good.

This place is just ok. Kinda slow and the food is kinda good. Can’t see myself running back there.

I’m a fan of this food truck. However, I’ve found the food to be really inconsistent. Fish tacos are some time amazing and sometimes over-fried and soggy messes. In general though, I visit the truck when it makes its stop in the financial district.

this place was ok. i got the falafel, which is called something stupid(pea-nocchio, i think). it tasted pretty good. but i got it on the rice with beans. not a fan of the black beans. they reeked of bbq sauce. eh. the best part of this truck is that, at least on friday afternoons, it’s run by what i can only assume are high school juniors. they were like the rag-tag group of outsiders you’d see in a feel-good, sports movie. except they were still at the beginning of the movie when they’re completely inept and awkward. i watched a hilarious exchange where they gave an order to the wrong person. «Oh your name is Guillermo? We wrote down Russ. Weird. Here ya go!» 3 minutes later someone approaches the truck. «Hey, my name is Russ. Do you have my food yet? I’ve been waiting a while.» «Oh, I think we gave it to someone else.» no kidding?(it was hilarious in person, i assure you.) anyway, with the wealth of trucks out there… i think you can skip this one unless it’s super convenient for you.

AMAZING Fish Tacos!!! The Pea-nocchio sliders are a great veggie alternative. Everything is prepared fresh, well worth the wait & reasonably priced. Looooove the green & orange truck, catch them in your neighborhood! In Brooklyn’s Dumbo on Tuesdays, it makes my week!

Tasty Sliders at New York City Prices Food: 4 Stars The best part of Mike N’ Willies are their sliders. While they tend to be a bit greasy they are a great little meal to get you through lunch. For meat lovers you can’t go wrong with the Pork(Lil Piggie) or Beef(Big Bad Brisket) sliders. The Lil Piggie packs a little sharp bite from the slaw which works well with the pulled pork. The sauce they include can sometimes be a bit overpowering and underwhelming depending on how it was made that day. The Big Bad Brisket is my personal favorite. The fried onions on top give it a good crunch and for some reason the sauce on it has always been evenly distributed when I eat it. My only complaint about the sliders is their tendency to be a bit greasy. By the time I bring the container back to the office there is a little pool of grease at the bottom of each slider. While it isn’t healthy to do, I like to dip the slider in the grease to enhance the flavor. I do recommend trying the Chips & Guacamole, mainly to try the chips which are better than most places that serve it. The Guacamole is about average, sometimes being a bit bland for my liking, but the chips make it worth it. A good chip and flavor. They look a bit oily, but I am assuming that they are homemade. I have yet to try their tacos. Service: 3.5 Stars Service is smooth and they are helpful with recommendations for first timers. Overall a standard service you come to expect. Overall: 3.75 Stars Mike N’ Willies is pretty good overall. I wish the sliders wouldn’t disappear in 2 – 3 bites. The prices are decent compared to the other food trucks around(3 items for $ 10). There usually isn’t a long line(in the Winter anyway), but I would recommend that you try it at least once, and then get hooked for life.

I would have preferred losing $ 10 on the street to eating this food. My order: Brisket Taco: 2⁄5 flavors were meh. Fish Taco: 0⁄5 they messed up and gave me chicken and chicken was terrible. Veggie Slider: 1/5, undercooked and greasy. And they didn’t include napkins.

Mike n Willies serve up great tacos and sliders from their food truck. I had two fish tacos and one brisket slider. The fish was gently fried, and moist. The habanero plum sauce was hot and tasty. The brisket had a nice sweet and tangy bbq sauce. At 3/$ 10, you have a great selection and you’ll have a good lunch.

This was my first time ordering from this truck. I was looking for Korilla, but they were not in their usual spot. So I settled on this truck. I ordered a braised beef taco, a lime chicken taco and a peanochio(falafel) slider. The braised beef taco was decent, but nothing to write home about, the lime chicken taco was tasteless and falafel slide was just OK. I did like their habanero plum sauce. I dont think I would eat from this truck again. It wasn’t terrible, it was just not as good as Korilla.

I tried the Pea-nocchio(falafel) sliders from Mike N’ Willies. I was grateful that they had a veg option and love the concept of sliders(such a cute little thing). The sauce in the slider was good and the tomato was fresh. The falafel itself was good, but some portions of the patty seemed a little undercooked, despite the deliciously crispy outer shell. The guys in the truck were all really nice and kind. The truck takes credit cards, too, which is a definite plus. The wait was pretty long– longer than other trucks. Interestingly, 98% of the people waiting on line were guys, so that may be of interest to some…

I really wanted to like this food truck. Easily accessible pulled pork sliders, how awesome! And the guys who work in the truck are always super nice and friendly. But the food just doesn’t do it for me and it gets worse during the lunch rush. I’ve tried their pulled pork slider(I think it’s called the Lil Piggy or something else ridiculous) twice. The first time it wasn’t bad, but not something I would find myself eating because I was craving it, it’s more of a convenience thing. So the second time I tried it again and also got the short rib taco. I didn’t finish either. The slider was cold and the slaw tasted off, and the sauce and whatever else that was on the taco was downright gross. The meat is always cooked nicely, hence the two stars.

Basically the same as the mexicue truck(tiny portions for too high of a price and very similar menu) but doesn’t taste as good. i had a beef taco and pork slider. The beef taco was ok, but was $ 3.50 and maybe the size of my palm. i can get 3 tacos at korilla for the same price as two here, and korilla has bigger tacos. i was not a fan of the pulled pork slider. It could’ve used a better sauce and more toppings. To fill up on lunch here you’re dropping a minimum of $ 14 since you’ll need 4 items. Service was very fast and the food was ready within 3 minutes after ordering. If you’re a fan of mexicue you’ll definitely like this truck, but i like to keep my lunch to under $ 10, especially when ordering from a truck.

I’m lucky enough to have a steady stream of food trucks parked right outside my office on a daily basis. Mike ‘N’ Willie’s is one of them and I’m glad for it! MnW have a fairly short menu with sliders and tacos. I’ve tried the beer-battered fish taco, which was very nice. The fish was substantial and very flakey. The cabbage salad that came with it has some mayo, but it seemed to work. It was flavorful but quite mild, so I added some Cholula to top it off. They do have hot sauce there too, so you can add it yourself. The line went quickly and the staff was friendly. No real complaints. It’d be nice to see them expand their menu a bit, but they do have an alright variety at the moment. Tip: They have a vegetarian slider option that looked quite good.
